somehow i feel like that eagle warrior and crimson fury were both prototypes for that third ship, which is an entirely new generation of fighting thunder craft. elements of both are present in its design...
I wonder if Proton weapons were planned, but scraped due to time constraints. Love Raiden Nova, but it definitely has a “we’re not finished, get it out” courseness to it
