Sure some people do end up drifting but thats cause they weren’t actually close friends.

Honestly one of the best yet worst feelings ever. Everyone despises school because we go there five days a week (six days for some countries) and we are taught subjects that we won’t even use in the future, but that can be debatable. I will miss school though and I’m graduating from university in July (Germany). My friends all go to the same university as I do and once we graduate together we all part ways. It’s so upsetting for me, I feel like I haven’t spent enough time with them. I’m a pretty likable person and I don’t ever want to leave my friends, but they have to. I respect their decisions, but it’s going to be very difficult for me to cope and get over. Edit: I have graduated a month ago already, and I expected parting ways with my friends to be a lot more emotional. Maybe it’s because I spent time with them alongside family all at once before graduation? I still feel connected with them and I’m so glad that I was able to be a part of their lives while we were still together. Now I am currently in Ukraine, typing this stupid edit in trhe middle of the night. It’s not as bad as they say it is here. But whenever I think about them, I feel so alone and disconnected. This year is going to be my last year of elementary school,I’m in fifth grade currently and me and my friends are talking ab it like “we’re going to 6th grade next year, that’s crazy” and we remember the good things of school and every time we talk ab it we always shed 1 tear, and on the inside, our eyes are water falls, but our inasence left at the start of the year after the pUberty talk (srry little off track)

This is why I’ve always had mixed feelings about school. Yes, getting stressed about the homework and unhealthy you may develop during your time is a pain. But, there are moments that are solely because you attended school that you got to experience them.
