Take a look at Patrick Roy and Broduer stats and then look at Hasek and then realize Hasek missed his first 7 years of his career because of political reasons. Just add 7 years worth of stats onto Hasek total and its not that close anymore
Same here man! 😥 we have been so spoiled blessed here in Buffalo with goaltending now for so many years we have gone threw a drought . We so need someone to bring that excitement back to the key bank center. Going to the games now is so depressing us Buffalo fans do not attend like before I remember how loud the arena would get hoe exciting game day would be knowing you and the Buffalo Sabres will be at the arena Tonight!. Especially having the excitement of Rick Jennette announcing games now its all gone 😥
Red Wings fan here, Ill never forget that warm summer morning in July when I opened the paper and the sports page and saw we had traded for Hasek. Couldnt beleive what I was reading! Great run for us in 2002, adding him to the hall of famers was so fun to watch. Of course, loved him in Buffalo, I knew how special and amazing he was !! Great Vid and thank you Dom for the memories ! (Oh and remember his Mastercard commercial? Slinky for a spine, PRICELESS!!) lol
Grew up watching this guy and now my 8 yr old boy is a goalie who nonstop watches hasek vids and practices the windmill and taking players out in practice. Fantastic Dom was the best no doubt. He single-handedly stole games and gold medals
Haha thanks. I didn't think there's much dispute about Hasek being #1. He was just heads and shoulders above everyone else during his run of Vezinas. Probably one of those records that'll never be touched.
Thank you for recognizing Dallas shouldn't have won that cup based on the rules. I was so upset about that and no-one seems to acknowledge it. Thank you. Good vids.
A player was allowed to enter the crease if they had control of the puck. Hull kicks the puck up to his stick (a controlled move) and his left foot goes in the crease just before he slides it in. Perfectly good goal based on the rules that were in place at the time.
@@KetaProductions I grinded your Videos for more than 2 hours straight. I really enjoy them. Thank you so much 😘 Hockey is such a great game. Greetings from Germany
I saw him play here in Chicago when he was a rookie. I fallowed him his entire career. I would rate him as the most innovative goalies to play the game. Also the most fun to watch. And without a doubt, one of the top 5 greatest goalies to ever play the game. He was the greatest goalie in the NHL in the late 1990's.
What i would like to see is the story of Teeemu Selanne the Fininish Flash and his rookie seaseon when he scored 76 goals in his first season. That was fire
He play against the best he won the gold.. in all hockey plays Chase that. Win for your country. Talk about the dream team of 1980 he's right up there with them the dominator 39.
well .Hasek never won World Championship ,so He is not a triple gold club member..Mostly because Soviets were dominating when he was playing for Czechoslovakia .late 80s...,than when my country won Worlds three times in the row ( 1999- 2001 ) he was doing pretty good job in the NHL ....good video.,Thanks a lot
He was the best goal in the world you going to take any goalie in his prime only if he came over when he was 20 imagine this if he played with a team that was fully loaded with fully loaded with weapons in front of him and defense protecting him who knows how many Stanley cups you would have had in your city in town to win the Lord Stanley.
Dominik biological father is Alois Kastanek , he got surname after his stepfather only after 10 years .His parents divorced when he was 2 years old.....Iam not sure if biological father was a nimer ,because Pardubice is not a mining area of former Czechoslovakia ,but its possible.btw..Hasek is common name in the Czech Republic ,but Kastanek is very rare... His half boirher Martin was a good soccer player and coaching top league team now.
I think it'd be good idea to say that Nagano was not only of Hašek's, but the team's achievement - whole generation of players we in Czech Republic today call 'golden', as these were usually same players who got to win hattrick in 1999-2001 in world championship, very good result in Canada's cup in 2004 in semifinal, where they could possibly win the trophy and lastly 2005 world championship, during which NHL was stopped. Now some say that he's son of Chuck Norris, and that Tomáš Vokoun is Norris' grandchild... But Hašek for president? Now that's a proper good one :D
The only thing controversial about Hulls goal, was how many people didn’t know the actual rule in place at the time and to this day. It was a good goal!
@@sammyweed4771, that’s a convenient history that you’re making up. A player in control of the puck was allowed to enter the crease. Hull makes a controlled Move to kick the puck from his skates to his stick and then slid it in. Also a save from a goaltender or rebound off a post in which the puck comes back out of the crease did not cause a possession change. Hulls goal was scored after his first attempt was stopped and the rebound went to his skates. He was considered to still have possession and still be in control. And the only “rule change” they made was to no longer call goals back because a player not directly involved may have had a toe in the crease (no harm, no foul rule)
The greatest goalie of any era, anywhere.

the best goalie .play the game yes he was Dominic the best goalie in the world 🌎
Great video! The DOMINATOR is 1 of my top goalies. He was a BEAST & had his very own unique style of net minder
GOD bless Dominik
Amen, brother. Who are your other goalies?
@@KetaProductions top favs are Roy Brodeur Cujo was a good 1
Today's players are price vasyleski rask & top to me is the Flower Marc Andre
Ooo yeah I'm hoping either Price or Fleury win the cup. It'd make for an excellent story!
@@KetaProductions totally agree
@@KetaProductions keep the uploads coming ole boy. Once again excellent job.
Simply the best!
Hasek's one of the reasons I chose to play as goalie in our beer league. I never received goalie training so our flopping nature mirrored each other 😆

My entire street hockey career was all because of him

I am so glad I saw him during his entire career, he was in a class by himself
ONE OF MY IDOLS
Hasek did so many weird things but he was just smarter than us. Theirs nothing weird about stopping shots 😘
I don't mind being weird if I can stop shots like he can

If only he'd been in the nhl earlier. Best goalie I ever saw as it stands.

For whatever reason highlighting only the United States when you mentioned North America made me chuckle. Cool video!
Someone else also mentioned that. Guess it was more obvious than I thought!
Hasek was a wall made up of Anti-Life Equation, Mother boxes and Superman's kyptonite
Was thinking the same thing
Domination
team chek never would have won gold without him
He was my favorite as a kid and i use to pretend i was like him when i was in between the posts

He went to Ottawa first...

Nah they changed the rule after the series, at the time it should of been NO Goal.

Only good if he kept possession. How do you keep possession on a rebound?
Weird he only has 389 wins
I suppose he started his NHL career later and was on some mediocre teams aside from Detroit
