The flagship is symphonic metal band Nightwish (my favorite: excellent live performances with huge versatility from folk to power metal, very strong vocals). I higly recommend you to watch: Nightwish "Ghost Love Score, Live at Wacken 2013 (Official Live). It's the most reacted music video on RUclips. My guess is that he wanted to hear Marko Saaresto's voice as close to natural as possible. The official video is the studio recording of the song, and the stuff they can do in the studio can hide a lot of natural flaws. Listening to the song live shows that he really doesn't have too many "flaws" in his natural singing voice.

Poets of the Fall is an amazing band, and Marko is an amazing singer. 💜 He actually does have quite a wide vocal range - he's a baritone, but he also has a gorgeous falsetto that reaches well into what would be a mezzo soprano range. Here are two songs that feature his falsetto: Daze ruclips.net/video/di7NMssrqsE/видео.html and Cradled in Love ruclips.net/video/bp0AHQooVSY/видео.html . A good contrast featuring his deeper baritone range is False Kings: ruclips.net/video/vkweStbjjSE/видео.html . And just for another type of contrast, here's a more power metal style vocal in the song Take Control by their alter-ego band Old Gods of Asgard: ruclips.net/video/k0QsHKH77MI/видео.html
