I'm Tyler, I'm a 32 year old actor with a love for music and entertainment. I decided to start doing reaction videos as a way of getting more confident in front of camera and also to explore different genres of music and entertainment. You are literally the only reactor to actually get the connections properly. Her grandad is the moon to her and she wants to climb a ladder to see him again. It's an obvious metaphor which most people just seem to miss.
She has the ability to bend her voice to match her required style, a vocal chameleon
This song has provided me with tremendous comfort after losing 5 loved ones over the most recent 4 years. Angelina opened her diary and poured her heart for us, with her desperate cries trying to reach her grandpa. I know that I am never alone now with our barefoot princess and all of her angels in my life.

It can be that you get very old, so you gain a lot of extra days, but you lose such a lot of beloved contemporaries. :-( I really don´t know what´s the best deal.
This is an extremely emotional song for me & would be perfect for an Award Show (Grammy's, Academy Awards, etc) where they review everyone in the business that died that year. Angelina and Grandma did art work. There are pictures of Angelina painting just like her Grandma work. Angelina is a great student of hers. Also Angelina did the words by hand.

Thank you Tyler for this nice reaction. She wrote this shortly after her other grandpa died in 2019, she was 13. Angie & her grandma did the art for the video. Angelina said, “This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in you heart, as it comes straight from mine”. Stargate producer singer/songwriter Dakota posted on her instagram regarding the collaboration with Angie, said “This girls talent is freakin insane.”

Denise Mery did not do the animation for the video. She provided the artwork to the animator, who put it together.
Loved your reaction, Tyler. Angelina poured her heart and soul into writing and performing this song. In an interview with American Songwriter, she said that while she was in the booth recording this song, tears were running down her cheeks. I can feel that emotion when I listen to it. Concerning Christmas songs, she has done several. But for me, the best by far is her version of "Mary's Boy Child". The part that got me in this song the most was when she started climbing the ladder (barefoot) because she is literally already at the top of the ladder now and has accomplished so much for her age. But it's not enough when you are missing someone. I took this to mean that she was wanting to perform for her lost Grandpa, and since it was a performance, her shoes were off. Also the voice shimmer in the second verse shows that longing for what she lost.
I lost both my parents and little sister, so I can definitely relate. She's an amazing person, I hope that she never changes because she has a rare gift that has had tremendous impact on so many people around the whole world with her humble spirit and beautiful vocals.

Another great reaction, Tyler. For me, the number one hallmark of Angelina‘s gift is there ability to connect emotionally with the listener, something she seems to have had innately since she was a small child. The song takes that to a whole new level. It reduced me to rubble probably the first dozen times I heard it. I’ve had my own losses and it’s hard also not to feel for Angelina. He was clearly hugely important to her, as is her grandmother. Angelina is fortunate that her grandmother is still with her. She has been a hugely important influence on Angelina’s vocal career, and, as an Internationally recognized artist, created all those beautiful images in that video together with Angelina.
Tyler, Angelina has many voices and always decides which to use to fit the song she is singing. The voice you mentioned in "I Put A Spell On You" was a "one-off" doing a cover of an insane video by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, the composer (ruclips.net/video/b1D7luQJwa0/видео.html). It was her own arrangement, and as you saw she provided what she calls her "wishes" to the band leader at the very beginning of that video. You've watched her NGT performances at 7 & 8 and her AGT performances at 13. I wouldn't say her voice has "improved," as it has always been magnificent regardless of style or age . IMO it has only matured, and will continue to do so as she grows further. Thanks for the reaction and looking forward to more Angelina reactions.
I was going to tell Tyler exactly the same, rotorhead! Throughout the years, we've seen Angelina use different resources in her huge vocal arsenal depending on the song she is singing. Only natural, that her voice has matured, but if Tyler should listen to her covers of "A Million Miles", "Born to Die", "All of Me", "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart", and so many more, I'm sure he'll realize that this is definitely our Angie's voice, quite recognizable in any song she sings. With the same musicality, sensibility, colour, and sensibility she has always had ;)
@@madelaca4589 Correct. I guess it's just my reaction to the word "improved" when it comes to Angelina's voice over the years. I'd like to ask those who say that, "what could she have done better at age 8 singing, for example, 'What A Difference A Day Makes' to improve?" I'd bet there would be little or no response. But Tyler really hasn't reacted to enough Angelina performances to know her well enough, so I just wanted to inform him of her many different, but as I say "magnificent," voices over the years, and also point out my opinion that "Matured" is a more accurate description than "improved."
To be honest... as soon as I said "improved", I knew what was coming, but I knew what I meant haha.
"Matured" is definitely a better fitting word and describes what I was getting at more accurately.

Tyler, thanks for the wonderful reaction with Angelina's new song. It's a very sweet and intense song dedicated with infinite love to the grandfather who passed away 2 years ago and to all the people who have lost someone, but it's also a song full of hope, with beautiful lyrics, especially if you think they were written by a 14 year old girl, and her voice is so incredibly "made in Angelina". She and her grandmother Mery is a very beautiful story of a fantastic family. ❤️ ❤️ You probably reacted to the version without video, but also look at the version with the lyrics, the paintings that are used for the background are from her grandmother and Angelina and are so "right" for Angelina's voice and story, while the Angelina's slow climb up the steps of the stair to the moon is of infinite sweetness. This song is a wonderful portrait of her and it encompasses everything, her sensitivity, her family, her affections and her love 🤗❤️
I think that the effect that Angelina manages to give to the songs she sings is very much related to why she chooses or writes one song over another. She has to feel in tune not only with the music, but especially with the lyrics and I think this is one of the main reasons, she tells the story that the song contains, in her own beautiful way and changing the voice's use. As an actor identifies with the character he plays, so she impersonates the song, and she has so many different identities. 🤗
Actually, this song is dedicated to her maternal grandpa who died in Nov '19 - they're both gone now...
The artwork used in the production of the animation was designed and illustrated by Angelina’s grandmother whom is a very successful painter and poet in her own right.

Good reaction...thank you. I love how Angelina goes from a primal wail to almost a whisper at the end of the song. The pain and passion in that wail remind me of the cries that Spanish Flamenco singers often use to such good effect. As for Christmas songs, you can find videos of her singing Silent Night, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, and more, but I agree with the comments suggesting Mary's Boy Child. That is just one of the sweetest things I have ever heard.

One of the things that makes her so enjoyable to listen to is that she sounds different on nearly every song she has sung.. She adapts her singing voice to what each song merits and executes it to perfection. You listen to singers like Dimash, Diana, and Daneliya and are astounded by the vocal prowess, but you can only listen to a song or two at a time because it sort of drains you. You can listen to Angelina all day long because it fills you up.
Thanks for the great reaction, Tyler. I've listened to the song dozens of times and it brings me to tears every time. The song is beautiful, delivered by a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and an even more beautiful heart.
I think the imagery used in the video is amazing. It's based on artwork from Angelina and her grandmother Mery Zamani, a noted Iranian artist and poet. There are a couple of things that jump out at me.
First is the image of her climbing the ladder, which reminds me of her interview on Anne Lindmo's TV show talking about her book. Anne asked Angelina to read a passage from her diary that she wrote after meeting the girl and giving away her shoes. Angelina wrote in part that, "It was as if there was from earth to heaven, a staircase. I climbed up the stairs." If you haven't seen the interview, you really should watch. It is extraordinary:

Oh, there is one more thing and I suppose it's just me, but at about the 1:17 mark of the video there is the image of the moon, with only the word "No" in it. I've seen people get word of a loved one's passing a bunch of times and it's almost always the same word, "NO." The way she sang the word, it (in the song) clearly didn't strike Angelina the same way, so maybe it's just me.

Tyler, you're going to have to up your game before I subscribe to your channel. ......One of the most insipid, uninspiring words in the English language is "nice". Yet that seemed to be the best you could come up with to describe her voice: "nice"; the song: "nice"; the message: "nice". Sorry, but in my opinion, a second-rate reaction.
Entitled to your opinion dude. Trying to be respectful of the song due to the message behind it. Didn't want to give an overhyped and unnatural reaction to it. If that's your take on the word 'nice' then thats on you and so be it.
For me, especially with the tone I said it in, nice means 'delicate', 'lovely', 'pleasant'. Also, it kind of depends on what part of the world you're from to get hung up on words. The song didnt blow me away, as it wasnt one of those type of songs, it was one filled with emotion for sure. I don't like to ramble on in these types of reactions out of respect for the artist. I did a similar one to a Kpop artist who sung about her friend who had died under very different circumstances. I kept it short, sweet and to the point. I think its important to humanise these moments as much as possible, gaining the subscriber is not the most important thing about the video in question, the message is 🙂
