Just to say, you can skip the Itto fight. Also, if you don't play the TCG minigame, you can still R5 the weapon, and you'll just lose some ascension materials

Both Paimon cards are so good. One gives essentially 4 omni dice in exchange for 3 normal dice, and the other converts normal dice into Omni dice for no cost.
I am generally fond of every aspect of this game. TCG, Abyss, Events, you name it. But Teapot is the one I least put my time on, since I let some Furnishing done and get Gifts for the Primo.

I just love the fact that the event forces you to complete the tutorial for TCG, but to unlock the best rewards(which is the weapon, it's refinement material and a crown) you don't need to play TCG even once lmao. Heck I bet you can finish the event quests too if you care about them without TCG(tho not sure, I just grabbed the rewards and dipped)
U kinda have the same reaction I do when it comes to TCG, I waited until 2 weeks to even start the event yesterday so I can also get the welcome back rewards for the first time ever. Just to have enough primos for Alhaitham, I did the first story event then did all the events and got everything I wanted from it. Only part I skipped was the TCG one and played once to get the Xiao card then quit TCG just to finish the story now I'm done with the event forever. Just waiting for the Vagabond event ngl, loved that event.
I’d say there is two reasons: First one is that it’s almost completely separated from overall genshin experience. You can’t get cards for exploration, you don’t get cards as quest rewards. Almost all NPC players are concentrated in big numbers in cities. It feels forced. Second one is game itself. It’s kind of fun, but when you’re tired from Genshin’s usual rng bullshin, having a game mod that has not usual for TCG one layer of rng but two - with cards and dices - it can be frustrating. Like, in a vacuum it’s a good idea, but specifically in context of genshin thatks but no thanks
i mean if you find TCG fun then some people might not, it's the same logic here another thing is how the characters mention the game, unlike for example how we refer to genshin impact as just "genshin", they say the entire "Genius Invokation TCG" phrase almost all the time imagine all your family, friends, even strangers saying the whole phrase every time they talk to you, that is 11 syllables wasted 😵 that is one of the reasons i usually avoid playing TCG

Java winning beating Itto on the first day of playing TCG is hilarious. So many people were complaining about him being too tough with his stupid deck. I managed a win as well.
@@chuhej2780 I would personally recommend trying to use Yae Miko, Cryo Cicin Mage and Sucrose. Yae Miko's and Cryo Cicin Mage's Elemental Skills have great synergy, so try and get them out and use them as fast as possible. You should use Sucrose's Elemental Skill to make sure Collei isn't the active character since she's the most dangerous.
So I really really hated the extended tutorial. But I DO like the game quite a lot. I like that the event isn't against real people and just AI as well

I started to try and throw games I had to participate in for primos, but still managed to win some...Then there's Ayaka... she still managed to infuriate me despite not wanting to care about winning...
Most ppl would play tcg if they just add primogems to the mix it doesn't have to be to much, 100 primos per week and tcg players will duplicate. I like the game but if there isn't any rewards i dont feel too motivated
I did the tutorial quest in the patch it was out but I totally understand the feeling for those who didn't and had to sit through it, on top of all the story in this event. And you don't even get to play your own deck in this event at all. What was the point of Quick Start anyway if they don't allow certain prerequisite quest to be skipped? Mondstadt to Sumeru archon quest is referenced, even if a player never complete those, but not the fact the Traveller knows how to play the card game without the tutorial quest?
You can indeed get a Raiden Shogun card, if you play just a LiTtLe bit MoRe... TCG is not that bad tho, once you have a powerful deck, it is very enjoyable! So if you have time, you could experience some boom-shaka-laka Also I love these puns altough I don't understand some of them. Also I did think that Cyno is the Card Snatcher as well...
The way you're supposed to get the Raiden shogun card is that you just invite her to a game, beat her (not that hard), and then you get the card _with constelations_ for free, no limited time event required!

The event was only a huge promotion in actual text of the story. Whoever we meet tells us lit the same thing: “I love playing Genius Invocation TCG. That helps to make new friends and experience the joy of battling with them!” And by that story was quite boring, but the actual mini games were okay. Mostly same as always but with a card challenge this time surely. Still I kinda like to kill time playing these cards so I was okay with it but I prefer events with lore and a cool story behind. Btw you could skip playing with Itto just by picking another option. And actually 11:52 you can get Raiden card literally by playing with her at the Cats Tail
you only needed to do the first part of the quest in mondstat, then you could of done every other mini game while playing 0 TCG, in the TCG event and gotten all the rewards
TCG could be fun. Look at it like a very VERY slow paced H:SR turnbased game? If they speed up the animations, dice rolling, and the wait for the computer's turn, It may turn into a more enjoyable time.
I never tried the TCG so I tried the tutorial TCG but I lost every time , being bored to the limit and because I had enough I completely skipped this Event. I hope that the next even has "nothing" to do with obliged/must TCG cards!

TCG’s fine. Not everyone’s cup of tea, sure, and I’d rather have a few other things, but it’s fine. Fun to play once in a while :)
I tried the event and the collei one on serious showdown was quite literally impossible for me so I gave up after like 5 losses in a row

i can't remember exactly wich one, but one of the event matches let's you use a trial Raiden Shogun card
