I wold love to see something like coastal town with meadows. I always feel so inspired by your builds. No matter what theme you'll do I'm sure it'll turnout awesome!
This has to be one of my favorite islands ever! It's so thoughtful and beautiful. If I never do farm core, I'm ok ❤ Also, I would love to see you do an island with an emphasis on dino bones, and blathers tent. It would work with almost every season and has a lot of wiggle room (forest core, western core, fall core, tropic core, etc ...)
You could do a late summer Island. A transition from summer to autumn. The grass is getting more yellow. Some early autumn decoration, like sweaters infront of Abel sisters or a end of summer sale. And of course pumpkins. And some more. It could be set in sunset for the golden light and some wind to show some colder air
tbh I'm happy no matter what theme you pick next because it will be amazing!! if you love the villager selecting process, making a wildlife sanctuary/zoo-themed island would be fun since you could decorate their enclosures to match each animal. a space/galaxy theme would be super different too!
