I really admire Aaron Ramsey! It is a shame what he went through, but he is such an inspiring example for all of us. His journey shows that we shouldn’t give up, and that with hard work and determination, we can overcome even the toughest challenges. he was under appreciated with a lot of fans wondering why he was there, some have very short memories..... For me he was one of the better players of that era, gave everything and could run all day. Never understood the hate he got.

Stoke and Pulis should have been punished, but of course the FA and PGMOL don't want to the right thing, especially if it appears to favour the bigger clubs
Punished for what? Yes we were direct and brutal but Shawcross was devastated post-tackle and was rightly punished as an individual. Imagine punishing a whole club for being 'too rough' on the pitch. get a grip.
@@joshpearce7182 I can't believe you're still defiant about what happened to Ramsey. He didn't know if he would walk again! That tackle wasn't and never will be just "the way we play football" -- it was assault.

To come back and play at any level after that injury would be a testament to him, let alone come back at the top level. He was a special talent and had he not suffered that horrific injury, I’ve no doubts he would have been up there with the great centre mids of the premier league era. He could do it all as a central midfielder
When Arsenal fans speak of ‘media narratives’ and their direct impact on games, the leg breakers on Aaron and Eduardo were the pinnacle of those falsehoods! The whole “Arsenal full of soft and foreign players” portrayal was heavily pushed by the media and never challenged when spouted by rivals, because Arsène wasn’t producing the good old “English football” of getting stuck in with reckless challenges. This was further proven how Shawcross was painted as the victim somehow, because poor Shawcross “wasn’t that type of player” as the focus became more on his tears following the nasty deliberate challenge and the red card. Add to that Aaron being booed by Stoke fans whenever he played away there, because how dare a teenager break his leg apparently!
I seem to remember a former Stoke player, can't remember who exactly talking about that match. He said that Pulis spent ages winding the players up before the match, telling them to really get stuck into the Arsenal players and actually said he felt it went way too far and what happened was almost inevitable.
I remember how every big 4 club in the country like Arsenal, Liverpool, United were battling for his signature back when he was 17. Just to put things into context, he was a kid playing for a championship club (Cardiff) and I remember thinking he must be a special talent.
Ramsey has done incredibly well to get back to the elite level of football. Diaby and Eduardo suffered similarly horrible injuries from appalling attempts at tackling in the late 2000s and never got back sadly to their previous levels.
The Aaron Ramsey curse: Whenever he scored a goal during the football game (could it be club or national team), there were news about the shocking deaths of notable persons.
