You must be Jessica! We've spoken before when I exchanged a radio. CCranes' service is the best anywhere. I've bought four CCrane radios, and they are best quality in my collection of more than twenty radios. Great video.
Well.done! I have 4 Cranes myself: 1. A CC Pocket I use for travel. 2. A Skywave I use nightly for general listening. 3. A Skywave SSB I use as a secondary radio for my Amateur Radio activities. 4. A CC Witness I use to capture my radio shows. All 4 are well built, have great sound, and an excellent array of features for their intended purpose.
Nicely done! Presenter is excellent, animated, natural, knows her stuff. Very informative video for newcomers. I have the 2 Skywaves (wonderfully intuitive & friendly, handy), a Radio 3 (good DX machine, nice audio), and the Twincoil AM antenna, all good performers and well made.
Great overview of the radios you offer. My wife has the big CC Radio and the Skywave. I love my Skywave SSB and Mondo internet Radio. We also have the Solar Observer emergency Radio. They all have excellent reception.
How to choose a radio? Simple. If it's a C Crane radio, you can't go wrong. I own four of them. Bought my first one when Bill Wattenburg was doing live ads for them on KGO. I've never looked back.
I have been using CRANE radios since they were first advertised on Coast-to- Coast AM - Art Bell - in the 80s. On your twin-ferrite external antenna - have you ever experimented with stacking them like a ham radio beam and used a rotor to aim them. Would a splitter to more than one Ferrite antennas have the opposite effect and weaken the signal?
Here is a link to a site that covers some information on this topic, I would recommend that you check this out and do some experimentation. ham.stackexchange.com/questions/15656/ferrite-rod-antenna-array. It looks interesting!
I have the C Crane solar I wish that it came with USB-C And I wish that it would accept lithium AA's And maybe a couple different color schemes If those changes are made I will buy another one
It's likely that disposable Lithium AA batteries may create an overvoltage problem that could damage the circuits. The rechargeable ones can't be used because the stepdown circuitry will completely null AM/SW reception.
I love CCRANE radios,I have a Skywave SSB, and CCradio2 and I really miss a new version of ccrane witness + .Radio, recording function and MP3 player, I really need that again. Is a device planned?
At the moment, no, but we do know that a compact audio player/recording device is something our customers want. Let's just say that it is "on our list". ;)
Thank you for your question. There are ways to improve AM on the CC Pocket Radio however it doesn't make it very portable. Our Terk AM Advantage indoor antenna can be placed close to the radio to improve the AM reception inductively. Click here for more information: ccrane.com/terk-am-advantage/
I'd say the CCrane Solar Observer. A bargain at about $60.00,and the audio quality and features can't be beat. Although it's not stereo, it is still one of my top radios.
In this video, she had picked up multiple radios with different model names. Please let us know which part of the video that you are asking about. Thank you!
Thank you for your question. We offer repairs for certain versions of our CCRadios. Please call us at (800) 522-8863 to see if we are able to repair your radio.
Our radios are made for us, to our specifications, in China. The radios must pass through our own Quality Control before being shipped to us, here in Fortuna, CA. Once we receive the radios here in Fortuna, they must pass through a second Quality Control before we ship them to our customers.
will never, ever, ever, buy a chinese made radio...a once great industry(radios made in USA, Germany, Japan) now totally sold out and made cheaply...@@ccraneccrane
I now own three CC’s. The quality of the radio’s is very decent. Greetings from Europe.
I like her and she did an ery nice job here. Hope we see her again. Great company I have bought.

Nice video .. I like your new emergency radio

@@ccraneccrane OHHH, then I hope your "list" is not too long....time is running out
:-)
@@DXLUPO "Time is running out". So true.
Looking forward to getting a Solar!
Thank you for your comment. We now have the CCRadio Solar in stock and ready to ship.
@@ccraneccrane just placed my order🙂
If you add RDS to FM and HD (AM/FM) Radio then the Skywave SSB would be the Best SW Radio out there. You need to finally get on the Digital Wagon.
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I will share this with our Product Development Team.

What is the best for an emergency use?
I'd say the CCrane Solar Observer. A bargain at about $60.00,and the audio quality and features can't be beat. Although it's not stereo, it is still one of my top radios.
Sadly, that radio was discontinued. The replacement CCRadio Solar BT is about $100.00.
The radio that you picked up in this video...what Model is it?

They're made by sangen, in Taiwan I believe.
