Agree with Braedan, if anything were to happen, it’s a one way ticket for water straight into your lungs. You also don’t have to expel the water from your snorkel after surfacing this way as well

How good is southern hospitality. Getting into Fiordland to fish, most can only dream of. Loved it William, could taste every bite of the cray to. Looked so yum.

Southlander here, went on school camp to Deep Cove nearly 40 years ago and my girls have been too - fantastic experience. Didn’t pass up the opportunity recently to go back as a volunteer for a weekend working bee painting etc.

I heard a lot of banging noise coming from the boat? Is it tied down to the trailer during transit? Might have been some of your gear in the back of the boat. I like quiet trips so I can tune in if I hear anything that might indicate a problem.
