This is really no surprise. My Lightning order got delayed when they switched all 2022 orders over to 2023 and also raised the prices... and haven't said anything about price protection for those of us who have been waiting since forever. Thanks, Ford. :p I still have no idea when to expect my vehicle.
Dude. What a mess. Really seems like the name of the game with EV's has been to overpromise and underdeliver.. not great, makes it hard to plan. I just turned in a lease and have no idea what I'm doing.
@@GearboxPizza Walking! 😆 I really don't mind waiting. My current vehicle is paid off, so waiting just means saving a larger down payment. I hope they honor the original financing rate as the quote I got was before several interest rate hikes and that difference would likely be as much as the price hike was! $$$ 😭
Yea, pretty much in the same boat.. just driving my old shop truck for the time being, but no payments is really nice. And yea, I really hope they honor the original rate.. Ford has had some issues, well, it's more their dealers from what I hear, but it's rough out there man.

Now that that issue is out of the way while I build my spaceship, let's talk about the EV in question. First and foremost, who tries to navigate a canal in a truck? This is dumber than I look on paper. Actually, just send a piece of paper instead. It makes more sense on paper, slapped against my stupid forehead while I float along a canal. The specs are good. Those are fine, but nothing crazy. The styling is Ok, but it's more of a "girl you want to bring home to your family" kind of vibe. She gets the job done, and makes sure your son isn't getting out of line, but was she worth the cost of a mail order bride that looks like the back page of the catalog? I feel really bad for those who ponied up the reserve for their order(s), only to get shafted via legal jargon sprinkled with last year's Halloween candy. Come to think of it, those leftover chocolates are sounding pretty good right now. Nah. I'll just wait until the actual launch hits to celebrate. Looks like I'm not eating any chocolate any time soon.
