People often say,”Money is Evil” which is a based off of the Bible verses that says,” the love of money is the root of all evil”. I think the latter is more accurate than just “money is evil”.
Your videos are so thought-provoking and calming. Always feel motivated and peaceful after watching. Thank you, hugs, and best wishes from Scotland 🏴🤍🇺🇸
The phrase does get oversimplified, to be sure. The original sentiment is that the 'love of money' is the root of all evil. I think that kind of pure greed represents the worst part of human nature-the part that values self above all else.
there isn't anything inherently wrong with certain things like money, but like with most things its the relationship to it. I don't think its wrong for rich people to exist or to try and make more, my main critique of it and I guess capitalism as a whole is that while yes for the most part if you want to work more or put in more you can get out more of it, so theres some semblance of personal choice, unfortunately I think many who "win" are those who disregard certain things , from simpler things like an individual missing events, to more nefarious and malicious things to get ahead. I also think a lot gets lost with the pursuit of money more so with how we should act. again from individuals maybe just doing whatever for money to on a larger scale people promting or investing in something just because it can make money and not whether this is where we want to stimulate growth for people overall. for example maybe the tobacco industry, or s work(OF). No system is perfect , and capitalism and fiat currency has allowed us to do a lot and progress, but I think the chase of a bigger number often disregards our humanity because its all about the benjamins
Money is important and it is deeply hard to be happy without it but I think what you say is true as well. Balance is truly important in this matter. Many who seek to get more money excessively and relentlessly often do spend much of their lives especially their younger/stronger years missing out on their humanity, opportunities to explore their world, life, wholesome relationships and many of the things that make our short lives on earth 'soulful'.
Yes, I see a lot of wrong in our system. There are those who lose sight of using money as a tool and instead use it to enrich themselves and they end up losing their moral compass in the process.
