I have really liked Tidal filters for almost three years now. I like that you can control the skimmer feature and intake pipe separately.

    Nice Keith..
I have always wanted to buy something online or in an auction..I would probably be more comfortable buying plants like you did .. I just couldn't pronounce them
Thanks again for all your help on my live....you rock

I've always found it easier buying plants online. I find most local fish shops only have a small selection of plants, so it's hard to find the ones you want. So, ordering online while a little more expensive can lead to getting the plants you really want.
I really enjoyed your livestream, mate. I wish your channel had been around years ago. All the goldfish channels I've found over the years, like tithera, jenny from solid gold, and more recently, Luke and fancy goldfish Fanatics. They all focus on oranda and ranchu, and I have always been more of a fan of single tailed, long bodied goldfish. I could watch your lives all day every day. Selecting breeders, QT of new fish, medication of sick goldfish, foods, feeding routines, filtration, tank and pond set ups, and plants that do well with Goldies. I could watch those forever. I think your live was genuinely great, and I look forward to seeing more of them.

Lam an dow. Seachem filter, Sicce pump. The blue thing rises as the spinge clogs, it's a cleaning indicator. Looking forward to seeing the video of you setting it up and installing it ❤

Looks like a great haul, Keith! I really like the Buce. I've only got one - actually several, but all of the same. The big box store was selling them on a piece of stainless steel mesh, then I glued them to a piece of manzanita. They're only doing ok. Maybe not enough light? Not really sure. Have fun with that filter, Mate! Cheers! ~Ron

Buce seems to be an exceedingly slow grower. My Anubias grow like weeds by comparison. I remember dustins fish tanks had a buce only tank way back. He tied all his onto manzanita as well. I wish it were more available in the UK. I have 4 foot long twigs that's cost me £125.

@@aquaticfanaticsuk Ross at Arcy's Aquarium in Australia has some massive Buce. I only know from RUclips tours by Australian RUclipsrs. He has some awesome displays. Manzanita is pricy here as well. It even grows in the mountains not far from where we live. In fact, some species are protected by the Endangered Species Act here in California. It is beautiful wood.

@garageaquatics2023 Buce kinda reminds me of the freshwater equivalent to zoanthids in the saltwater hobby. People would just display their zoanthid collections glued to frag plugs with all their rare named collections. I feel like buce could follow the same path, being displayed in bare bottomed tanks. Maybe some egg crate as shelves. Manzanita is really a beautiful wood, and I don't think there is any comparison with woods here in the UK. It reminds me of the Juniper bonsai that the Japanese collect from the mountains. I think that a part of aquascaping that is really neglected is the choice of pieces of wood. When you compare driftwood in bonsai to aquascaping, the attention to detail is massive in comparison.

I love my 35- and 55-gallon Tidal HOB. Just a hint: the blue clip slides to the back, locking down the filter box. If the filter media gets full, you will notice the water flowing up the back of the basket and into it. Time for a cleaning. You know what you are doing, but shortcuts for others. Any sales of Buce I get from Tropica are on the small and short size as they grow slowly.

I think they are really underrated filters here in the UK. But then, we have euro braced aquariums, which makes it difficult to fit a HOB filter
