Xfinity/Comcast said the modem locking up or drop of wifi signal is because we need an extender. Drops out when my roommate turns on the Bluetooth speaker. That thing emits noise.

i got one of these for my tv. some of the streaming apps were loading too slowly or not playing properly. we have an older netgear router from 2007. i dunno if it's picking the signal up from the Fios modem or the very old router; wonder if i need to upgrade it. what do you think?
They don't need to match. The 750 will limit speed to 750mb per second. May help if you have a lot of devices bogging the internet down. I'm not sure how many devices can be on the extender at one time. Wasn't in the paperwork.

It’s his house, at least he has one. And now he has extra WiFi at his spot. Not everyone has to live to your standards! You make sure your space is clean and then offer to help someone else be more like you not force them ! Works a lot better my way

I have a spectrum router I press The Wps button on the router while the extender wps is blinking . The router does nothing .
In that case, that router may not be compatible. Netgear makes other extenders that may work.
Is it good for consoles?

The extender only repeats signed in devices. I had a Bluetooth speaker that kept kicking me out. With the extender the noise no longer kicks me out.
