    I just clicked on the green plus sign after making a new folder in zotero and then I used the option "Store copy of file..." and added all of my 73 references to that folder on zotero. After a while, zotero automatically converted the pdf files to references and kept the pdf attachments as well. If you do not want those attachments because you already have those saved in PC and do not want duplicate on C drive in zotero's installed location then click the little arrow on the left of each reference to reveal the pdf files and continue doing it for all the added references. The arrows should be pointing downward once you click on them. Now press CTRL and start clicking on only all the pdf files revealed below each reference. Make sure not to click on the reference itself. Once all pdf files r selected, do right click on any of the selected file and select "move items to trash". This will clear your duplicate copies from C drive and will keep the original pdf sources in your computer as such.

    So how does this Zotero make it easier than using the Reference process in Ms Word. Zotero seems to do the same and makes things a lot harder…

    Can you please explain why we need to download the PDF? i write paper for medicine and most papers are not free. I have been importing references from pubmed. Does it make any difference? Thanks

      You don't have to download the pdf. You can use pubmed or the other ways in this video to download citation information. I like to have the PDF attached so that I can easily search the papers I have. Hope that helps!

      @@SciGradCoach , is there a way to convert some article or presentation to PDF inside Zotero? I mean, if I already have a presentation as .pptx in Zotero, can I convert it to PDF?
      Or may be there is a way to annotate a .pptx file in Zotero?

    Hello! thanks it was very helpful. Could you show us how to cite with the cross-reference website? and insert the link that takes you to the doi.

    • @SciGradCoach
      @SciGradCoach  2 года назад

      I will have to look into this more. Are you mainly wanting the doi in the citation or specifically through the cross-reference website?

    What if after adding the PDF it doesn't automatically create a citation and does build out the citation? Is there a way to get the citation?

    • @SciGradCoach
      @SciGradCoach  Год назад

      You can always build out the citation manually or pull it from Zotero Connector on google scholar.
