After a few massive days of driving from Cairns to the tip of Australia. Alex and I had a few days to relax and experience the rugged scenery that makes Cape York so beautiful. We hadn't booked in any camping and some how scored the best free camp spots for our 3 nights there. Hopefully you can add them to your trip, as they certainly put the sugar onto for our trip.
Now I bet you're all wondering where is my FJ?
As I've previously mentioned the FJ is my daily and isn't set up enough just yet to do a huge trip like this. Overlander offered me this opportunity to drive the car up here as they have a booking request from Cairns in a few weeks time and this trip was for me to create content for them, which is part of my job as a digital marketer and content creator. :)

We need to deal with our own waste, and not send it to countries who dump it in the ocean.... Seen it in India and China trucks dumping rubbish into river running out to sea....

Hey Tom, as it’s a hire car it’s recommended not to do the track and I wanted to show how cape York was still accessible and just as fun without doing the hard core stuff 😊
@@TiffanyLawrence whaaaat, the hire company don’t want you to do a vertical drop into a mud hole?
Hehe, most people don’t want to take their own car down gunshot.
You should do it in a group so your friends can pull you out as well.
The way you did it is much better (less damage) anyway.
All the rubbish is heart breaking 😢
It really was. When we got to punsand bay though we saw a flyer on the notice board saying the following weekend there was an organised beach clean up happening for Somerset.
