I wish I actually had a 6502 machine, so I could much around with the Romulator!! Great tool man!

Yeah, that was a bit of a battle in the end, but thank you so much for documenting your efforts - It really helps a novice like myself to understand the thought process and indeed how to use the myriad tools that are available - it can actually be a little overwhelming!
      Thank you, once again.

I'm saving this to watch in full later, but for now I'm just wondering what the music is!

I bought a PET along with a huge dual floppy drive and a massive commodore printer from a Library sale back in the 90s. They used it until 1995 for their office if you can believe that. I paid $20 for it. It was still working. I sold it a couple of years later to a guy in Canada for $100. That printer was HEAVY.

Also… anytime a TTL has a floating output… check the Vcc for +5V. If it's low chances are there's a cold solder joint on it. If it's good then check the ground: if it's not zero then again it's probably a cold solder joint on that pin.

Can't wait for the 2nd part. I definitely subscribed. *Adrian's* *Digital* *Basement* brought me here. That beach looks a bit familiar.

There's no reason to carefully desolder a part that you aren't going to keep; just clip off all the leads and desolder them one by one.
Plus the first thing I do with "vintage" boards is check all the electrolytic capacitors.
[How did the DRAM work with only 7 bits?!?]

I like that you use a soldering iron as a pointing device. Just make sure it's cooled, don't want to set the schematics on fire!

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciated that small attempt at humor. Keep the schematics safe!
