- 🦇🎥 First Time Watching Batman (1989) with Michael Keaton and Tim Burton! 🎥🦇
I finally saw Batman (1989) for the first time, and i didn’t expect to like it ,Michael Keaton's portrayal of Batman was cooler than I thought it would be, and Tim Burton's direction brought Gotham City to life. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, even though I thought it might be goofy. Join me at n my journey as I watch this classic movie, and the movies that follow it.🍿🎬

Batman Forever is my personal favorite, great reaction sir!
Love the 90s animated series.
@@RouxReacts Batman The Animated Series. Batman is voiced by Kevin Conroy. The Joker is voiced by Mark Hamil. This show actually created the character Harley Quinn. Who was originally intended as a one off character. Very very influential on the Batman iterations that come after.
This is MY Batman suit.
This movie is awesome
I never really cared for the Nolan Batman movies exactly because they tried so hard to be "realistic", when of all the comic books, Batman was the most stylized, dark and fantastical. Gotham should be as gothic as its name suggests, not just Chicago or NYC. The Joker is really over the top, both deadly and funny, and Batman himself is kind of dark and brooding. I like that this Bruce Wayne acts like someone who has been through trauma. The dining room scene isn't about him playing some kind of psychological game with Vicki, he is just really that socially awkward and in his own little world inside Wayne Manor. I've also never understood why everyone in Gotham should know who Bruce is. There are a lot of millionaires in my city, but I have no idea who they are. I like this reclusive, psychologically scarred Bruce better.
Very much agree. Nolan made him too human. Or perhaps a better term would be sub-Batman.
@@jonathonfrazier6622 I actually don’t mind Bruce being a little more human. Tim Burton has great style but sometimes his characters and plot fall a bit flat. I feel like the newest Batman movie combines elements of both precious versions.
It was genial!!! It is genial
Let's talk about the science of joker laugh😄 the only person in this planet who can do a perfect laugh as a joker is Jack Nicholson, so real so natural, especially in the scene where he electrocuted the mob, he has a natural long breath, that's why the laughter sounds so good, that wheezing sound like people with asthma is so hard to do if you don't have that naturally, also listen to the laugh after joker push batman and vicki vale off the building, it's so f$&king delicious and satisfying to listen to especially if you listen through earphones, so haunting and joyful, sorry to say but Heath ledger failed at that, except Joaquin Phoenix, the rest of them are so fake and forceful, they have to scream to get the joker's laugh, for example Mark Hamill, quite cringe and anoying actually, the laugh was perfectly illustrated by Nicholson by having a set of laughs that range from maniacal and gleefully wild to dark and deeply threatening that sounds natural
Great reaction! It is very interesting to see your reaction to the films Robocop and Robocop 3. This is a cool classic 👍🔥
These are very cool classic movies! I'm sure you'll like them. I haven't watched them for a long time. I will be glad to watch them with you on your reactions. I hope you will make them for these films soon 👍
@@RouxReacts you should definitely react to Batman Returns as well, it's a magnum opus of creativity, atmosphere and mood.
You started off being very confused.
The “goofy” Batman movies that you heard of are:
Batman and Robin
Batman Forever
This Batman and “Batman Returns” are the absolute BEST Batman movies. I’ve seen the new ones and hate them.
This movie is based on the comic books and did an amazing job of bringing the comic books to life, which is the whole point. I can’t stand modern movies that don’t understand what they’re supposed to do with the source material.
Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson were the best. And Tim Burton was the best director for this series.
Once they got rid of Keaton and Burton, the franchise went downhill and we got the goofy ones that followed. Apparently parents were getting upset about how dark it was and the movie company wanted to make money off the toys, so they got rid of Burton which was a huge mistake.
The pin was dipped in poison.
Such a great movie! Keaton is still (for me) the best Batman. But when you said in your intro that you heard this was “goofy”, thats an odd statement because the whole film has a dark, gothic tone. Yes, they used practical effects, and you dont get the ADHD editing they do today, but the script was great, the cinematography was amazing, the performances top notch. The 1966 series was definitely goofy, but this is a dark, serious film, with the most sadistic, terrifying Joker ever, even more so that Heath Ledgers. Also, I want to say Danny Elfman’s bombastic, operatic score trounces any other Batman to date. Its dramatic, operatic, and theme-driven. When Batman appears, his music theme plays. Unmatched.
@@RouxReacts 👍🏻
Well, in my eyes Heath Ledger was the worst Joker. I don't know why people are so obsessed with him.
You kept saying Jack Ripper 😂
His name is Jack Napier.
Jack the Ripper is not a character in the Batman movies. Look up that name and you’ll see who he was.
Another classic movie coming next?
Batman kills people all the time.
Not always intentionally.
This took me back - it was such a good movie in it’s time and I think it stood the test of time. I enjoyed the way you reviewed this so casually 🤍🤍🤍👏🏻
The joker actually died and the most crazy thing about it is Batman killed him but it wasn't surprising since he already a bunch of his goons. In fact, you must know that the Tim Burton's version of Batman is killing
@@RouxReacts Also, I suggest you to react to the movie Joker from 2019 if you've never seen it before of course ;)
@@RouxReacts ah ok. It's because you've asked if Jack Nicholson's Joker was the only joker who started as not a full joker right away but in the movie "Joker" from 2019, Arthur isn't the joker at the begining just like in "Batman" (1989)
Have you seen the movie Tarzan The Fearless?
@@RouxReacts I think it's on youtube
