Are these old BRX PLCs used much ? I have used the DL5 and DL6 for teaching classes and always have trouble with the programming comm link (USB to serial). I much prefer the click and the Productivity series PLCs

I am using the BRX Do-More PLC. This uses the Do-more Designer Software with a simulator. The simulator can be used to connect HMI or serial devices for testing. (Modbus RTU, TCP, Ethernet IO, MQTT, and HTTPCMD communications work well on this controller.)

This is different than the Direct Logic (DL5) (DL6). I have not worked on them much. Even though they are being sold, the manufacturer is not putting any effort into improving the line.
