As much as I agree with most of what Tommy thinks about Ukraine it is a bit cringe to see him soyfacing on every thumbnail when people are dying in this war, he could be a bit more respectful

Its not that russia is struggling. The entire way modern conflict operates, is essentialy centered around the fact even a small scout unit has enough tools to wreck an armored convoy and without armor you literally can't move. Artillery and drones wreck havoc on the entire front line as soon as any exposed unit is spotted and so many position are so well consealed, ambushes often happen.
''struggling'' russia, is happening becouse Russia chooses to rely on armor much more than Ukraine which is obvious, looking at production rates.
If Nato would enter the war, we would see a huge push back of Russian forces, sure but the moment front would stagnate, we'd see plenty of destroyed Nato armor.
That's just how it works.
The only thing I don't want is NATO sending troops there as it could cause WW3.
Russia isn't struggeling at all when you see how NATO keeps pumping in billion after billion and how their puppet regime in Ukraine is just treating human lives even worse than lifestock, sending hundredsthousands to their graves for nothing.

Gamer Words used, it be like countries in hoi4, grinding xp for generals in Spain's civil war. @@ekans4555 Wouldn't NATO's tactics be more like Ukrainian assaults by small units with or without the support of one or two vehicles? After all, NATO focuses strongly on the flexibility of its troops from the very beginning, making them participate in longer and more expensive training.
Additionally, it is worth noting that NATO's doctrine is based on aviation and not armor combined with artillery as Russia does. Just look at what NATO aviation did to Iraq.
So I doubt that there will be views like from Russian columns, but in fact life has shown that once the Russian army digs into the ground, it is difficult to expel them from the land. Strangely enough, this description actually fits a pest/parasite

At this rate, there are rumors if not for nukes, Russia could be invading all of Europe if they keep sending supplies to Ukraine then get destroyed instantly.
The war is a lost cause no matter how much you send, because trench warfare is going on there right now, nobody can break through, Russia has dug in, and Ukraine has as well, but in a long war of attirtion like what is happening now, Russia will 100% win. Unless Ukraine makes a breakthrough, which they likely can't, the west will wake up, and stop wasting their economies and what they are slowly perceiving as a lost cause.

Unfortunately, the hate watchers are right to think that Tommy is seriously naive. Dude is always on a copium overdose when it comes to politics, he thinks that a win for Ukraine is guaranteed, but it is not and that coming from me as an Ukraine supporter. I might be biased in saying that as a CDU voter, but his thought process is absurd, childish and almost imaginative. I am very committed to watch a Ukrainian's daily war report, dude reports daily on their daily struggle, whether it is positive or negative. Right now they lack the equipment to play offensively and is it not helpful that the US is being blocked by domestic rebels from sending more help (The RUclips channel is called Denis Davydov).
@1243 Ukraine seems to have their own problems, especially with morale and munitions shortages. I could understand the hopium when the Ukrainians began their summer counteroffensive, but since it has completely failed I don't see a way out of this war for Ukraine that doesn't involve major concessions to Russia or more direct NATO intervention (unlikely at this time)

I will say that at the economic result of war is always negative, because at the end of the day a bomb doesn't generate economic growth by existing and much less by being used and needing to be replaced, fundamentally you are burning money and then putting more money into making more munitions, the only thing that happens is that wealth is redistributed to those who have the means of producing said munitions, and unless other things happen that help grow an economy you will see a reduction in productive capacity and overall wealth.
That being said we should shoulder the economic costs for the Ukranians and aid them even if it means we suffer, we owe them that little bit of solidarity if nothing else.

the reason why people fear russia is that russia despite loosing millions soldiers and not having the strongest industry still overcame the back then strongest army, turned a loosing war into a victory and was the main reason why the east and the west won ww2, russia is currently building up it's military industry like crazy and once it starts rolling it could become the next soviet union or nazi-germany and start pushing into europe

They wouldn’t be outnumbered anymore, Ukraine is having manpower problems
because Ukraines troop positions are based around defense in depth. There are scattered strong points in the area with the bulk of the troops away from the fighting. The Russians mobilize a large force at a single point, attack the outnumbered defenders who just have to hold for a few hours until the Ukrainian counter attack pushes the Russians back.
So yes, the Russian do have temporary local superiority in numbers pretty much every time they attack. Russia is far more willing to throw their men away than Ukraine is, and so Ukraines attacks are far more slow and more planned out, whereas Russia will just bash their head against the same obstacle until the Ukrainian defense break, which due to Russian superiority in the fires department is inevitable.
Kinda? Ukraine most likely has more deployed men, but Ukraine has far more men spread out along the front, since it has to cover the russian border, but isn't allowed (by its' NATO allies and funders) to attack, which allows the Russians to have very few troops defending there.

Not really. For the most part equipment is supplyed without payment from Ukraine or bought from Ukrainian budget/croudfunded. Even Financial aid in form of loans is not really a problem.

As for "infinite" equipment and manpower... well, hate to tell it to you, but T-62s and T-55s arriving on the frontlines en masse while T-80s are virtually extinct and T-72s and T-90s are becoming a rarity rather disagrees with that notion, too.

Russia might be losing more troops and material, but they can better afford to suffer casualties compared to Ukraine.

Looks like Russia is taking a slow and steady approach,while taking high casualties.Though Ukraine is still losing major cities it seems like their only hope for a counter is next year and seeing how their last one went you can only hope this next one doesn’t go to waste.
"Slow and steady" and "high casualties" are two things that don't really fit together too well. Reality is, Russia is once again brute-forcing to gain propaganda objectives for a politically-driven internal deadline (the upcoming "elections" in Russia). They're taking high casualties and pretending those propaganda objectives were all they aimed for all along, after failing to accomplish the game-changing strategic breakthroughs (like an encirclement of Ukrainian forces in Avdiivka) they were actually hoping to accomplish. Meanwhile Ukraine's leadership has been competent enough to offer effective and efficient resistance while the casualty rates are well in their favor, and to withdraw in a timely manner to preserve their forces instead of holding ruins at all costs once the casualty rates stop being favorable enough.

@@mr.gnome60foe53 No. The Ukrainians made a relatively orderly withdrawal as reinforcements attacked Russian units from the flanks to allow the units in Avdiivka to withdraw. Some Ukrainian units moved though open fields, yes, but not because of panic or a lack of organisation like Russian propaganda claims, but to avoid concentrating into a massive column that would be an easy target for Russian drones and artillery.
As for the casualties, the Russians ended up suffering roughly 5 casualties for every 1 Ukrainian casualty they inflicted over the entire operation to take Avdiivka, and in the most intense Russian pushes before Ukraine began the withdrawal, the ratio was 8:1. Sure, Ukraine took about 20 000 casualties in Avdiivka which is a lot, but the Russians took over 100 000. Not very far off from spending half of the quarter-million conscripted in the latest mobilisation wave, just for a relatively small town like Avdiivka that was reduced to rubble in the process anyway. No big encirclement of Ukranian forces or a breakthrough of the Ukrainian lines that would collapse other sections of the front was accomplished with those 100k casualties, just enough material to pretend it's a big win for internal and international propaganda.
