This was so interesting. I didn't know ai was this advanced now. Though I do know that you can Google an ingredients list and Google will know/pull up what the product is, so it's very possible that AI "knew" which products were which. I wonder if the high end products claims are also fed into AI and the AI is just repeating it.
I am a former beauty consultant for Walgreen’s. No surprise to me that they would do something to compete with The Ordinary. I could tell when a teen walked in the door with a mom that they would be asking if we sold The Ordinary products. We had nothing to suggest in its place. I was asked daily. Good for them for finally making some to compete.
@@JenPhelps Assuming that it actually works as well as the PC product, it should sell well. But I find myself wondering, given the price differential, if the dupe is watered down.
I think it might be helpful for people with scent or fragrance sensitivity to know these terms: Scent Free- no discernable smell with product's ingredients. Fragrance Free- no fragrance (natural or artificial) added, but the product may still have a smell from it's other ingredients. Unscented - an artificial or natural fragrance ingredient has been added to neutralize any scent occurring from the product's ingredients. Scented (Fragranced)- an artificial or natural fragrance has been added to the product to purposely give it a discernable smell Hope this helps anyone out there with sensitivities. People tend to use the terms scent-free, fragrance -free and unscented interchangeably, but the are definitely different terms meaning very different things

I love your hair wavy. It looks so nice. I will be passing this video to my sister. She mention to me the other day Walgreens was coming out with a dupe line.
I found out from the Walgreens Beauty counter rep (I had no idea they had those!) that Walgreens bought Boots/No 7 and Soap & Glory. It will be interesting to see what happens with Walgreens line.
Soap n Glory has my favorite lipgloss of all time .I've had it so long I can't read what the color is anymore !!!!! Hopefully they get it ,it's with the doe foot ,not in squeeze tube like ulta now carries . It's a sticky gloss .like a peachy pale pink shimmer .
Wow, this was not on my bingo card for 2024! Thanks for the good information. I’ve always wanted to try PC so that might be one I pick up in the future.
Ooo I love this! I love when companies try to give us good, cheaper options. I’m definitely going to check out these products next week when I go to Walgreens 😊 Thanks for finding this!
This could not come at a more perfect time! I was just talking to my 18 year old daughter about the Paula’s choice liquid exfoliant and I said I’d look into finding a drug store version so it’s not as expensive. Thank you for doing the research for me Jen! You’re always on top of it for us!!
Hi Jen! I was surprised (and excited) when I found a dupe for Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen at Walgreens,as part of their store brand. I was used to seeing Walgreens store brands dupe all kinds of more "common" personal care products...for example they'll dupe Dove body wash (I was super disappointed in that one) or a Neutrogena face wash, and often when the ingredients are similar enough, I go with the store brand option, focusing of course on the "active" ingredients for skincare. I got the Unseen Sunscreen Walgreens dupe and found that it was nearly IDENTICAL to the Supergoop! version....unfortunately, as this product, even the original, is a bit too slick/dewy for my oily skin type, but it was impressive and also reminded me of something similar e.l.f. did with their Suncare line, only they made the "unseen sunscreen" into a clear, blurring primer. (That one was another exciting, instant impulse buy for me, until I discovered soon enough it wouldn't work with my oily, large pored skin.)
Ooo I’m so glad to hear about the BHA dupe. I love the Paula’s choice one but my budget doesn’t allow for it so I’ve been trying to make the travel size last for a while. I’ll definitely try the Walgreens one when I run out
Great idea video we just need to consider that Walgreens is really Walgreens Boots Alliance company and their products should meet the international standards we should not be scared to try it
I passed this video to my sister. She told me that Five below also has a dupe for the Sol de Janeiro bum bum cream. According to my sister the smell is spot on. She said they even have the body sprays and that is spot on.
Well, good for Walgreens! I'm especially interested in their The Ordinary "dupes," and may try the Vit C if/when I can find it in-store. Thanks, Jen, for an informative and fun comparison of thier new products to the originals, this was a wonderful idea for a video!
Jen i loved this video ,its showing us all the budget friendly thank you,as a lot of products are expensive for some of us ,,keep smiling you are beautiful young woman,,💃💖💖💖🙏🙏blessings to you and your family,💖💖🤗
So happy to learn about the 2% salicylic acid product - I’ve been buying the PC for about as long as it’s existed, but a more affordable alternative is great news! Thanks for doing thid, Jen! ❤
They also have Super Invisible SPF40 ($14.99*): An antioxidant rich weightless sunscreen that provides UVA/UVB protection without leaving any white cast. Compare to Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF40

I use The Ordinary Argeriline daily and I stopped using it for a few months while I was in school. Man oh man😮😮I won't ever do that again. Botox in a bottle they say. Thank you for the info. I especially appreciate you telling us where the product is manufactured. I am hesitant about buying products from China. I luv it when a package is marked (made in PRC). Once I asked in Ulta if they knew where that is & they didn't. Hello....that's China.😮
Thanks, Jen! The AI was really interesting. Kiehl's is the one I go back to again and again, but I might have to try the Walgreens. Btw,I love your wavy hair in this video!
The Walgreens SDJ dupe sounds right up my alley. While it might not have the advanced moisturizing ingredients, I really don't like the SDJ scent so something with less smell is perfect!

Peach Slices acne exfoliating toner is an identical dupe for the PC Bha toner I’ve been using for years but it’s good to know there is another option out there 😇 thank you!
I read somewhere that phenoxyethanol is limited to 1% of a product's ingredients. So when you see actives listed after it, you know you're not getting much of them. The Walgreen product has it MUCH higher up in the ingredient list than the YTP. That and country of origin most likely account for why it's much cheaper. Great video!
One thing I will say Jen. Without diving too much into it. Wall greens and boots are a shared alliance and we have the latter in the UK. We’ve had a similar sort of launch with a line called Boots ingredients they’ve duped the ordinary and inky list. I must say I haven’t tried a lot only an eye cream but it’s been nice to see the line grow massively. Also knowing the science behind no7 who is wallgreens/boots brand.
