I think this is one of the reasons why a lot of foreign men wants to marry and meet a Filipina for a wife and/or partner in life. We still value the old traditions of being a wife looking after hubby and kids, especially when it comes to cooking, sad to say a lot of Western women are no longer interested in this traditional cooking, easy for them to buy take aways, frozen foods from the groceries and/or pre packaged prepared foods that they just heat in the microwave..same here in New Zealand and Australia. My Kiwi (term used for New Zealanders) always looks forward to my cooking Filipino food (I watched sometimes cooking Pinoy cooking on You Tube and follow them)..my 35 year old daughter who is now a professional career woman living in Sydney loves my champorado, lugaw goto, bibinka, adobo, sinigang, puto, leche flan, etc.
