In this episode we island hop through Indonesia from Bali over to West Sumbawa. I jump on my dirtbike and we use the local ferries to get out and explore the islands. Along the way we score some waves, check out the sights and find a little mini ramp to have a play on. A nice little stopover before we mission it over to Lakey Peak after we heard about a big swell and some epic diving spots.
A huge swell hit, we scored perfect waves and then went Spearfishing getting an amazing array of fish including GT, Maori sea Pearch, mangrove jack, job fish and much more. We also found a mini ramp in remote Indonesia, so had a quick go on the old skateboard. There is so much to see in Indonesia so get off the beaten track and go explore!

Man so many waves, that place gets real good but you’ll have to do what I did and just ride around and find it 🤐. I don’t really care much these days but still a spots a spot untill it’s fully blown out, lips sealed sorry mate.

Far out, surprised we didn't cross paths. I sailed from Darwin to Bali through Sumbawa back in early July. Would've been epic to catch up. Looks like you've got it sorted, loving it.

@@FollowingABrokenCompass thanks man, well good news we can catch a pipe when visiting the whales. more good news our new local waves will be the southern ones. im stoked as i have been dragging my twin boys around Asia and not giving them a kiwi childhood, so now living on the beach with some of the best waves on the planet and they "10 yrs old"
i feel amazing things to come like when i grew up. (beach wise)

how did your mate die at Scar Reef?
Drowned mate, solid swell a few years ago and yeah just one of those things. He was a competent surfer three mates out- he took a wave and then clean up sets came through and they lost sight of him.....found him later in the shallows.

Whales and Waves was a nice place right on the water up the top as shown in the video, over near yo yo's the place we stayed in was very budget but there was defiantly some nicer places. I am unsure of the names sorry to not be able to help out more.
