from experience, living in suburban la or somewhere near a big city but in a smaller suburb is so nice because you can go into the city for the day or the afternoon and experience it and get dinner or do something fun but then you can just drive back to your little suburb when you need to and have a less hustle-y bustle-y experience. also i love the way you talk so openly in your videos and i feel like when it's time for me to go through all that you're going through (eek) i'm gonna feel more prepared ? anyways thanks ilu

I have moved this last year from a small town in Mallorca (that big island next to Ibiza, in Spain) to Barcelona to study, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I do understand you Conan, some days you’re at the top and feel amazing and some others you just feel so lonely. At first I was so homesick and felt so alone and stupid at uni that I wanted to go back all the time, but as I live on an island I has to take a plane to get home and it was so time and money consuming. The most important thing is to find a place where you can feel at home, I personally went to a students residency where half of the people are also from Mallorca, and that has helped me a lot. Even though it can be hard, I recommend you to go away from home to study, you won’t regret it
Im a military child and I move every 1-3 years! When people ask where I’m from I don’t even know what to say!! It’s really tough but it’s great because you can meet people from all over! also! i moved from norcal to san diego a couple years ago and it was really tought for me. it took me a bit over a year to actually feel comfortable and happy with where i was. now it’s like 2 and a half or 3 years in and im so thankful for the move and i woild not want to love anywhere else. i guess what i’m trying to say is that building foundations and connections in a new place takes time but in the end it’s always worth it

Conan, I wish so badly that you had been around when I was a young man struggling with my sexual identity. You give gay people hope and a sense of security that is hard to find during that difficult period of self acceptance.
