The only fight I found more cinematic is the final battle with the dragon in Dragon's Dogma.

The Ivory King is my favorite boss in DS2 and is honestly just an all around good boss in all of dark souls. Dropping into his boss arena with the boys in tow will forever be my favorite moment in DS2

I played Demon Souls first back in 2011. Threw my controller at the wall and never beat it. Then I got got back in DS2 in 2017 and it clicked. Love how viable a lot of builds were and only game I went Ng+7.
Proceeded to play every souls game but DS2 will always have a special place in my heart.
Zanny really died 3 times to Aava and first-tried the Ivory King? This is a wierd world we're living in.
I remember doing Frigid Outskirts solo. The single most agonizing thing I've done done in a game.

Man, I'm so excited for DS3. When I first played it I didn't love it, so much so I had fondler memories of DS2, then in antecipation for Zanny's streams I finally played through the game once again, doing the DLCs this time... I have to say I loved it. The Ringed City is so fucking great. Can't wait to see him play, once he recovers from his fifa addiction
Opposite for me. First souls game I played, thought i loved it but coming back to it after several hundred hours of the other games I realised how shit it was.
1 - build variety sucks ass in ds3.
2 - farming is ass in ds3, too little souls too low drop rates.
3 - resources are way too limited in ds3. Too rare for what build variety it even has to be experimented with.
4 - input delay. Literally the stupidest thing souls games have ever done.
5 - gank spam is ridiculous. If you try to fight the enemies when they’re presented to you as you move through the level than you get ganked by an unholy an enemies. But they give you so much I frames for most enemies that you are basically rewarded for running past everything and skipping the games content. It’s honestly just really lazy game design.
Those are my five criticisms that I could think of out of nowhere. On top of all this, the game is also extremely easy. It and elden ring feel like Ubisoft games.

1) Can't comment on this cause I make similar builds in all the souls games.
2) You can just farm souls in the dlc if you even need to (you get more than enough while playing the game normally anyway).
3) You can literally buy unlimited upgrade materials after getting the required ashes
4) What input delay do you mean? DS3 has the most dynamic combat in the souls trilogy
5) The ganks are much less numerous than DS2 and won't follow you up to the boss room (unlike in DS2) even if you do choose to run. No one wants to fight every enemy on the way while fighting a hard boss and it's great that they designed it such that you never have to.
If you legit think DS3 is easier than DS1 and DS2 I don't know what to say. The bosses there are slow as hell and have an extremely small moveset compared to bosses in DS3.

Ds3 was the worst game upon replay. Most of the ares are boring and ugly, and the game is so linear you can't get around them.
@@akiraigarashi2874 The ganks are also full of bloodborne speed enemies while you're dark souls speed but with dumb dodge spam. It's like the game was made specifically to appeal to idiots who go FAsst GOOD and dont care about anything except bosses. It has way more ganks than ds2 has, you just don't remember them because you run through every level like the game almost makes it necessary to.
The only thing that eventually got me through Iron Keep was killing the enemies so many times they stopped respawning.
Been waiting for these dark souls episodes. Finally continuing the series❤️

I think the gank fights were designed to be fought with phantoms. In DS3 using summons breaks the boss fight most of the time, in DS2 its fine

Fume Knight. My living nightmare.
I remember the exact amount of times he killed me.
76 times in total.
(After I started counting.)
Granted it only took me 46 tries before he died the first time.
But he died from a glitch.
So I decided it didn't count.
And well, I decided to punish myself by using a bonfire ascetic to bring him back.
Hence the rest of my deaths.
Felt great to be able to fully roleplay him with both his weapons though.
5:24 that was a regular hit with a clunky teleport animation.

Really went from "that was the best build up to a boss fight ever" fighting Burnt Ivory King to blindly wandering the frigid outskirts to fight Lud and Zallen.

This probably would've been a lot easier if he leveled up adaptability so he could drink Estus faster

DS2 really has the best story, DLC wise and main-game wise. Not to mention the drip is unparalleled. Im happy Zanny got to play it to completion.

Way to go f'n hardcore man. I'm working on platinuming the game(almost there 82% finished). I know DS2 gets a bad rep, but I like them all. If you really want to make the boss fights easier, farm out the run up areas (kill all enemies before the boss 12 times), they'll be depleted, you get there with ease, and your levels are more up. I usually don't need more than 1-2 attempts max on sir alonne on ng. Can't wait ng+ and ng++.

That invisible dragon is an interesting mini boss idea. The only problem is it doesn't show a silhouette of where the mist isn't (inside him). But I guess that would make it too easy😆😆
The "invisible dragon" is Aava, the big white tiger he fights later. Basically the boss is not designed to be fought while he is invisible. It forces oyu to go through the rest of the level first where at some point you can activate an artifact that breaks the invisibility.
Fume Knight. I got PTSD flashbacks from that.
