These were my first figures too, I remember losing the Megatron really quickly and never being able to find him and having the optimus for a good 5 years before losing it somewhere. Took me forever to find the 2 pack on ebay cause I just wanted to be sure I wasn't crazy and I did have both at the time lol
Is it a little disturbing that a deluxe that came out in 2006 not only manages kibble better & makes a more convincing tank than any Siege/Earthrise Megatron has, but even has both a rotatable turret _and_ a barrel that can raise & lower?
Leave it to Transformers fans to glaze figures that have been despised for literal decades to shit on new stuff. In another 20 years we'll all be praising the WFC Megatron mold for being 'so much better' than whatever's coming out
@@shashummga3477 I don't care that a figure "has been despised for years". I always liked these guys and if they happen to be better than the new stuff I don't see anything wrong in pointing it out.
@@TechnicalJimActual...I think Siege Megatron pairs up better with Earthrise Optimus than Earthrise Megatron does despite the neck fix, because that spear/polearm thing and face as hideous as the in-show's CGI model face/lips. Also, I love the fact that even though the toyline was made to promote the show (kinda), the toyline is better received moreso than the show ever was. Then again - it's a Netflix show. Your dog's fresh dump on a sidewalk will obviously be better than it like almost every other Netflix show ever has been.
I love this megatron design, i really wish hasbro would revisit it with a better mold and an arm cannon thats slightly more traditional, its alt mode is already so good imo, wish it were meg's default
It could be a fun starter point for a kid. Heck. Maybe even something to fiddle around with at the desk. Overall though? I can't say I hate the set, but I am not in love with it.
Loved this set as a kid, keep seeing videos pop up about it so now I'm tempted to get at least the Optimus on ebay 😅. Man 2006 was weird, classics, Titanium, later Cybertron stuff.
If Optimus's legs were able to push the legs in for alt mode then it'd be a really good figure. I used to think that his gun converted into a water cannon and that it made him a fire engine
I remember having only the DVD to these but never the toys introduced me transformers and diamondbolt lost his and as someone also lost his toys i can symphothize
This was my Optimus and Megatron as a kid. We couldn't afford much else. And I loved these figures.
“Somehow classics optimus returned”
My first Prime and Megatron…
Can’t say they’re good figures, but they still ring the nostalgia bell.
Are good figures

I got these when I was younger. I loved these two, even if the gimmicks aren’t executed very well.

Wait, Siege Megs has a rotatable turret
I had 2 of this pack growing up, lowkey fun, but I’m a bayverse guy these were really my only G1 ish figures besides wfc and foc figures
Looks like a KO(Knock Off) toy from liquidation stores. If it was lower in price or on clearance might get it so that i can modify it.
Though the Prime mould has a weak vehicle mode, the bot head is my favorite sculpt.
I had the generations 2010 version as well, still have both of them I have a huge soft spot for these goofballs

I am playing TF earth wars game during watching this

My tip doesn't slip off but it does slip into things every now and then 😉
2:13 wait you can tap that thing all this time I never knew
