G'day Todd. Listen mate, I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind me asking. The first one is what do you think of Wingless Sprintcar Competition down here in Australia? Do you find the fact that they WON'T let the division run with the 410" motors that the Winged division is running, frustrating at all? Or even insulting? What do you think of Australian tracks vs American tracks? Especially when it comes to the length of the tracks? And do you think that Australians, who are running almost entirely on what the Yanks call "bullrings" is somewhat limiting? I mean, we don't have a single bloody track on the entire Eastern Seaboard of Australia (where something like 75-80% of the population is) that's longer than a 3rd of a mile, after having had tracks of that length for over 70 years, and the of building 2 new Speedways in the last few years, do you think that at least one of these should have been a 3rd or even a half mile track, like Eldora or Terre Haute? Incidentally, my favourite American track s IS Terre Haute!
We don't need 410s Non Wing in Australia. I like what they have. This track is smaller than most aussie tracks. Tolmer is a 1/3. American tracks are measured on the middle not the inside. So theyre actually smaller than you think. Should be at Terre Haute this year. But youll see its an investment to race there, so alot of teams cant afford it. Same will happen in AU if thats the case.
I hope things go well this year at Lincoln Park since Spiker left.
USAC is somewhat taking over! Announced today
