Folly on Friday: Moving Out and Ceilings!

- Granny and Grandpa pack up and move out...although where too is still to be disclosed...Grandpa seems to be keeping that close to his chest.
The work on the ceilings has started, and when Granny saw the state of the house 'in the raw' again, she is now traumatised, and having to have a lie down!

Hello, it's looking much better, without all that thick paint, poor Granny, I hope Grandpa found her somewhere nice to stay while he works on the house, I'm sure it will be beautiful for her when they move back after the renovations.

Grandpa has certainly been very busy.Its a big job but those ceilings and comings look so much better. Hope Granny has settled in her new lodgings for the time being!Best wishes from Yorkshire Dales England.

It was pretty awful yesterday here too, but much nicer today, the sun is shining! Poor Granny does indeed, and Grandpa's packing...well at least he tried...although Granny said under her breath he is VERY trying! As for where they are staying...well we will just have to wait and see what Grandpa has come up with! 😊

It does...hubby was shocked when he saw it and said 'What has Grandpa done to the house!' haha. Poor Granny, the things she has to put up with. 😊

Oh I know, I feel sorry for poor Granny, she had her kitchen looking so nice, and now! I am sure she will eventually get over the shock, and yes hopefully they found suitable lodgings...time will tell! 😊

Moving house is the absolute worst! I don't know how Granny and Grandpa can still maintain their cheerful dispositions😂 I admit to being a bit sad seeing the folly without them. I have no doubt Grandpa will have things in the best of shape in no time at all. I completely commend you Lorraine! I have never stripped paint. Mind your back my friend! You inspire me! 🥰✨
Oh it sure is! I don't know how they did either...it got quite tense towards the end though... I feel sad too, the Folly doesn't quite feel right now...hopefully it will soon, if we ever get a dry day when I can finish the sanding and do some painting outside, and my back is up to it!

Well grandpa is gun ho and grand mum is thinking things through. This is so typical 🤣🤣🤣😂😂have you been in my house during moves. Poor Grand mum I bet she is in shock god knows what grandpa has cooked up for loggings 🤣🤣😂You had it right the ladies will be working on this project. I think once you’ve gotten all the holes filled it will look amazing.That green paint is the same color as my mums kitchen in the islands 🤣🤣😂💕💕💕Lorraine you’ve done an amazing job already .Have you thought of maybe making the attic accessible? Or is that just too much hassel🤔just wondering💕💕💕💕💕
Hi Grace, thank you for your lovely comment. Yes Gradpa is definitely very gung ho, and I do feel sorry for poor Granny who in reality did nearly all the packing, or repacking what Grandpa had packed! As for where they are staying.... that is to come hopefully...poor Granny.
I would love to make the attic accessible, but I'm not sure I have to skills to make this possible! Now that really would be changing the house for the purists out there. lol... I've probably done enough 'damage' trying to sort out the front! 🤣 Time will tell...
@@serenata1736 You haven’t done any damage your trying to breath life into it. Yes I know there are purists out there but when there’s not much left to give you originality all you can do is look at photos and do your best. 💕💕💕💕
