Does it make it harder to stay awake when the car is driving itself? It would seem like that road hypnosis hits harder when your mind isn't busy doing the steering and speed adjustments?
I am blind in one eye and want to buy a hatchback/crossover that is the most compatible with comma two. You have to disengage when the road is snowy and it can't see the lane markings, correct?
Thanks for the video! Do you know if Openpilot works with the new Altima? The list of Community Maintained Cars and Features it only lists the Leaf, Rogue and X-Trail.
@@HillierProductions very well put. Im looking to install one in my 2019 rouge. Looking forward to more OP videos! Btw where were you abke to get one used? Discord?
nobody has looked into it super extensively but the general consensus is it would require at the least adding a few modules (camera system, etc) from the higher trim model with Lane Keep, but even so some of the FW on the existing modules MIGHT not support it, so by far the easiest thing to do would be to sell and buy one with lane keep assist.
@@HillierProductions Bummer, guess I'll have to settle with adaptive cruise keeping my feet off the pedals and steer myself. Openpilot has definitely made compatibility a top priority for our next EV.
Hello i have european Nissan leaf 2020 version acenta with 360 view camera line assistance but not pro pilot is that possible to install it and from where? Thanks
@@mateozotos6185 most cars with basic ADAS (adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist features - aka most 2016+ cars) are supported. See comma.ai for more info.
thanks for the video. I hope they've improved it since then, but it still looks better than what my ProPilot is doing

Is this capable of doing stop and go traffic?

Might be a dumb question, but does the comma2 unit have to be windscreen mounted? I'm not keen on having more windscreen real estate being used up.

It does now.
nice video :) whats the backgroudn music?
I am in New Zealand so do you know if this will work for the other side of the road?
Yep, you can change between right and left hand drive.
What harness did you use?
"Nissan" harness. I built it myself from the diagrams available on comma.ai GitHub.
What do you think OP vs propilot?

Have 2019 Leaf SV Plus with adaptive but no Lane keep (Propilot) is there anyway to make OP work?

How do you update your software? Does it happen automatically?
Yes, it connects to wifi and prompts you when there's an update. Takes about 2 mins to update usually.
@@HillierProductions cool! This is only for the leaf or and for the other models?
