I swapped two sets of the relays and it fried my cars computer/ECU. 2010 Kia Forte. I talked to several pros that said swapping relays can cause this to happen. I started with a small problem with my blower motor and ended up frying the ECU (by swapping relays). A $150 job turned into a $1,250 job. I highly suggest not swapping relays. After further research it has been suggested that I may have had the ignition on by accident while swapping the relays. I am not sure but this may have been what caused the ECU problem.
I'm interested in anti theft for my 2022 Kia Forte. I have a steering wheel lock, I lock all doors and keep my key with me. But I'm looking for something I can remove from under my hood to keep the car from starting. I wanted to know where the starter relay was located. Is this item something I could remove to keep my car safe?
My Kia Forte 2011 has a clicking coming from inside fuse box that stops when key is in the ignition and turned. Car has power in that dash board lights, etc. come on. Key fob and automatic locks on door do not work.
My forte jst changed new battery but the dashboard light wont turn up when i tried turning the ignition to on. When i tried to start, theres only one click sound. Does involve the starter or the alternator

So which one is the “fuel injector relay”? What’s the code of it on the description sticker on the fuse cover? I wanna take it out so thieves can’t steal the car.

No you will not damage anything. If you plan on doing this often, I would suggest putting a small amount of dielectric grease on each of the metal pins. This will prevent corrosion and also make it easier to remove and reinstall the relay.
My starter fuse is good. The relay is good, swapped relays, still nothing. ECU relay is good. the pins on the starter relay aren’t getting power when I turn the key. There’s no click either. The fuseable link is good. The blower motor won’t kick on and the windows won’t work... something is real fishy
@@angelsgames4352 I did! It was the long fuse bank that contains a few fuses in one in the fuse box. Just barely foggy enough to not be able to see the broke fuse in the fusible link
My kia won't start , it doesn't even turn over . All I hear is a clicking when trying to start. I wiggled the battery cords but still nothing. Gonna give this a try, but any words of advise for a girl who don't know shit lol
I jump started my car , turned on but shakey and loud as hell, can only go in reverse when car is in drive . Car was runninv perfect 2 days ago and now this sudden issue
Wow! If it starts when you jump it you may need a new battery.. before buying a new battery you can take your old battery to Advance Auto they can charge it and test it for free. Once you get your car cranking without jumping it then you can recheck the noise and weird behavior..

On this model there is no fuel pump relay, the fuel pump is powered directly by a computer.

so y is tires plus tryna charge me 500 dollars to replace a relay saying they need to go behind my dash😂😂
