    Maurie Fields had a real Aussie accent.

    • @MichaelKingsfordGray
      @MichaelKingsfordGray 8 месяцев назад

      There are at least 3 'real' Aussie accents:
      Bogan (Maurie's}
      Middle (ABC)
      Educated (Alexander Downer)

      @hwd7 8 месяцев назад +6

      @@MichaelKingsfordGray Maurie's is more olden day, not bogan, like Lou Richards, Jack Dyer era.

    Playing the “I like Chinese” song after he said he hurt his groin on a slope would have had the show cancelled in todays age. I miss the old Australia when we could all laugh at ourselves without being afraid of offending someone.

      We were all taught this saying back then... "sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you"
      I'm an Australian son of 2 immigrants from 2 different European countries born in Australia and I'm ok with anyone anywhere anytime making jokes about Australia and Australians and our Australian way of life. I think humour can be found in every cultures ways.. from another cultures perspective.

      18 hole golf course located at Queens Road and Lakeside Drive. Open from 7am to 5.30pm during the Winter, 6am to 8pm during the Spring/Summer.

      The golf course has been abolished as far as I can tell. Was there for the GP and crossed two of the old fairways walking to the tram.

      @geoffheard5768 - check out their website. The course is closed for the F1. Now, to September 2024, reopening specials are being offered.
