Today we go over dodging from X with an emphasis on beating your man on the high side. We'll use examples featuring Ryder Garnsey, Michael Krauss and Michael Sowers, three of the best attackmen in the country.
All three of these lacrosse players excel at dodging from behind the cage and they are able to use their quickness and strength to get a step or two on their defender, freeing up their hands for shots from far better angles than if they rolled back inside.
Our film room was full of guys beating their man from X, and these represent the best of the best, torching their men high, angering their defensive coordinators.
We'll keep putting those lacrosse film room and review videos up as we find footage that is worthy and as always we thank you for your support.

None of these defence man are using one of my favorite checks, which is getting his stick under the lower hand and lifting that hand. When as a defenceman you get beat of a 1/2 step there is not much you can do. I feel that checking down across the arms has little effect on the attackman. But when you are that 1/2 step behind if you can get your stick under a hand or get the stick between the elbow and the ribs the shoot will go high.

Love it. Eric Law is one the best I've seen at getting his defender hung up or out of position while at X. Not the best dodger from X, but his awareness is off the charts.
