thanks! but well not quite pro, since I had lots of "greats" owing to the fact that I always fuck up somewhere when I play while recording (hence why the score is lower than my past highscore). but yea, I played Taiko no Tatsujin before this and the gameplay is similar albeit harder because it's all on one line, so playing this game was a bit easier for me since it's two lines. you can try playing Taiko as well, they have an online version on taiko.bui.pm, which can probably help or not I have no idea.
the first time I was introduced by a classmate to the game (the mobile version was where I first played), the default controls was tapping the left side for the top notes and the right side for the bottom notes. I always hated it, kind of clashed with my mania-style of playing where I press keys that are aligned to the notes itself. thank goodness there was an option to switch it to an easier one (at least for me), where you tap the top side for the top notes and the bottom side for the bottom notes. at one point I actually tried playing it rotated in a way that the notes go from up-to-down, basically turning the game into a weird looking two-key mania game. fast forward some time later and the Steam version of Muse Dash gets released, my keyboard binds just reflects my mobile controls. the top keyboard keys for the top notes and the bottom keyboard keys for the bottom notes, I just chose those keys in particular because I want them to be spaced in a way that are more comfortable for my hands (mostly so I can lie my palm on the palm rest while playing). I also put multiple keys per hand so I can spam notes easier by alternating between them, like a buffer. I don't really know who this rubytic is, but watching one of his (?) videos I can probably make a poor guess that his situation is opposite of mine. his keyboards binds seem to follow the default controls of Muse Dash (left/right side), but I also see some extra keys for top/bottom on the right hand so maybe he got used to the default controls and tried to transition to top/bottom controls but ended up with this jumbled mess because he just can't get away from the control scheme he got so used to. maybe in the end, all that matters is your familiarity to your controls.
I dunno, really. I guess I used a lower quality recording? if you watch my Monster Hunter World recordings, you'd notice the graininess of the low quality, but on games like these it's not that noticeable.
