- This is a bit of an odd one, Step by step this is essentially what I did:
I clicked the delete campaign button and started a new save.
Then I warped around to find a good spot to hang from with a grappleworm for the video.
I spawned said grappleworm and started recording.
When I died, I stopped recording and pressed the button to respawn.
Then I saw the Karmaflower scene showing up glitched like this, and it eventually turned into just this scene...
This all happened at like 3AM or so, so it definitely left me kinda creeped out...

yeah this is a bug thats constant during modded rw. Used to not be able to play monk because it did this every cycle i slept or died.
That's quite a turmoil to experience in every death...

I had this happen to me while on Spearmaster! Y'all know those little drawings he does when you shelter? I had those rapidly changing. Thought my save file was screwed, but it still works!

Something similar happens when u starve on the first cycle
My theory is that you fell into the abyss so you can no longer enter that cycle, as you have found a more painful way to exit the cycle which might explain the karma flower… (or your game just glitched lol)

And then hyper realistic blood came out of the screen
It was a normal night. I was playing my favorite game, Rain World, as the character Artificer. I was in Metropolis, about to fight the boss when I saw something weird. He was standing on his throne but he had no drone and only glanced at my character before looking into the sky. He stuck his arms into the air as a bunch of other scavengers suddenly surrounded my character from both sides of the screen. I tried to press the movement buttons, but Artificer wouldn't respond. She suddenly started floating in the air with the large guardian halos surrounding her. I saw her explode, her entrails flying everywhere as the screen faded to black and the karma 1 symbol appeared on my screen. I then got a notification on my computer that said "Do you know the phrase, "An eye for an eye?" and then it said my real name. Terrified, I quickly tried to open the windows tab to try and open Discord or something, but it didn't work. I tried hitting the task manager keybind, but all it did was show another notification saying, "A good attempt... But you cannot escape your actions, killer." I suddenly heard the glass downstairs break and I jumped out of my chair to hide in the closet where I am typing this right now. I can hear their feet shuffling around, those awful chitters are starting to get to me. I have considered calling someone, but it would be too loud. Wish me luck, guys.

I've had this happen with playing modded regions (specifically Howling Rift)... I think that save file's campaign had to be restarted (and region disabled) in order to fix it

I have had that happen at random, specifically with wingcat
I always found it a little funny and somewhat annoying though, since I’d have to fullstop quit the game and then reload it again
So, I experienced something a lot similar, but a bit worse than that.
To start of, the bug only happened when I tried playing monk, EXCLUSIVELY monk. Second, I couldn't open the map, no matter how much I tried and don't even think about going to another region, the lighting in the game just didn't load and if I tried to hibernate the sleeping screen bugged just like this. Shaking violently and never showing the option to get out, I needed to alt+f4 my game. Fortunately, this bug disappeared when I updated to 1.9.3, but still.
That sounds like an upgrade to the scare factor of this one for sure, I am glad I didn't experience that one, I'm sure at 3AM when I was recording it would have definitely made me unsettled enough to get a poor night of sleep...
For a while some mod caused that to happen every time I died. It was pain.
Kind of reminds me of old Oneshot when you left and rejoined the game, chilling.. and scary.

This actually happened to me a while back, I was playing as Pearlcat with some other mods enabled and everytime I died (and I also slept in a shelter I think?) the same thing happened.
Idk what causes It but It's very weird indeed!
It does seem to be more common with modded rain world for some reason...

Seems to be the death screen triggering continuously? To take a shot in the dark here: Perhaps your character & whatever killed you failed to un-load; so the game keeps killing you, as this screen doesn't call for whatever makes sure that your death is triggered only once.
It was most painful exit of the cycle, death after death, you lose your karma (like a saint), and you just a lost soul in this world, you are stuck, and you just look at the world, in dying world, and it's rebirthing, but you, are echo of wounding of a living creature.
You don’t regret dissolving into the void, that it was you who chose the decision, you didn’t think about leaving the cycle, perhaps your soul was strong And you can't escape the cycle by staying here, you couldn't choose your fate.
Anyway, now you can't do anything to not leave the cycle.
You are just die and die beacuse you are old, and leave from cycle if you not ascend, or you enter in the void and leave the cycle if you ascend .
Yeah, you can ascend and leave, and dont become to echo. But sins after ascend can stop you.
Anyway, we dont know all of this game, how this world are work, but we know enought info to know how karma and ascend work

I got this glitch when playing The Darkness. I sheltered and a dream sequence tried to play, but instead it was just this.
I remember this happened to me when i played saint 😭 was very confused but apparently it happened when you're at low karma and starving in one cycles?
I've had this happen a few times.
I've seen this glitch before, just only got it to work with dreams not meant to be seen in the campaign... like playing Arty's dream in Any other Slugcats campaign, you can do this with the Dev Console. Rain world mod
This looks similar to what happened in this video (ruclips.net/video/GrITzeO3oWQ/видео.html) , where the player used monk to starve on the first cycle, the screen would shake the sleep sprite and not allow interaction with the ui. Interestingly, the next cycle would spawn absolutely 0 creatures, other than the occasional group of batflies. Even bluefruit wouldn't spawn! It's very interesting and I'd love to know what in the game makes the sleep/death sprite shake so vigorously......

I thought the CW region had borked my game, as it turns out this is just a sign that the save corrupted and the game needs to be hard-fixed (either by restarting the save, or maybe if you know how the txt works, you could try and fix it there?)
I also just want to add that the last time i borked my save that badly due to mods, it literally started spawning axolotls in place of Black Lizards, Coalescipedes instead of bats, and would hard freeze the game whenever I pressed space. 1.5 was really weird
Oh, this also happened to me when I tried to hibernate as hunter i think a day after the glitchy update. I also only used MSC, Remix, Expedition, Hunter expansion and Older hunter mods (as well as requirements for Hunter expansion and Older hunter). I did check if the Hunter expansion updated to the new version before enabling it (it did update), and the game stayed broken (in general) even after disabling older hunter.

I was having fun with jolly coop by making myself control 2 slugcats and trying to beat a run with it
Due to green leaches my food pips were at zero
I wanted to get player 1 back (they died to a white lizard) so I tried to shelter

What's funny is that it never happened again for me, it was just this one time :S
Rain world. This is a cool game with a cool plot, an open world and many mechanics, and if you want more content you can download mods!
Yes... There are a few bugs, but nothing, they won’t do anything other than ruin the cycle or force you to reinstall due to damaged or overload files, but there’s N̶O̶T̶H̶I̶N̶G̶ terrible about it.

i havent got this but ive got a very simmilar one where everything turns red without the filters and the death screen wont even be black- hope im not the only one whos got this-
I had this bug, but it happened more often. To remove it, I needed to delete the entire save folder in the Steam folder. And only then the bug went away.
LORE THING! Maybe the cycle does end after a specific number of deaths and rebirths, maybe that’s why arti’s pups died forever and never came back like they would, maybe you broke the cycle without ascending bc u died so much :) but idk, how many times did you die while playing ur scug
Oh i had this happen to me aswell in my artificer run. Luckily for me its silent and only triggers after a dream cutscene. Mine also seems to lag less? Wondering what causes it.
Wouldn't it just be a bug? It happened to me, and it wouldn't go away at all, so I downloaded an older version of the game and it didn't happen again.
This seems to be an instability glitch, maybe the mod caused some instability.
