I can see martial movements with the blade all through out this war dance. Absolutely beautiful to watch and absorb from. Great performance my african brothers.
who said they are poor...give us a break guys...these are university graduates from university of Ghana....one of them is lecturing in an American university at the moment. stop tagging Africans with poverty. thank you. riches is not only material...fyi
dina johnson What’s the meaning of that FYI? ( for your intelligent) or what ? I love yr that common sense response. For them being rich is living in big house full of junks with inner uncontend.
Thanks for this reply. People should begin to realise that Africa is the richest continent in the universe. We are where we are because of exploitation. Even that they should come and see the riches we have. It is well with us.
@@fesladsilasnolasco1826 Africa is not the richest continent in the "universe". Others may have exploited some of what is there, but wouldn't have been able to had your own leaders not sold you out, time after time throughout history. ONLY blaming others and NEVER yourselves just adds more to your situation and fixes nothing. It is great that you see rich and poor differently from a materialist world. I get it. I think God created Africa and the African people unique and it gives him great pleasure and I'm glad to see "it is well with us". There should be healthy happy Africans. But it would be even better if your leaders weren't such whores.
I really loved learning about this in my music history class and I could definitely say that they truly have a rich culture. Don't over generalize that all African people live in poverty because they don't.
Does anybody know if the swords/knives they're using in the dance are based on tradition, and if so, what they're called? Have loved West African music for a long time and now starting to get into their martial traditions. Thanks!
come on they tried their best, yes some other groups might have done better but this does not belittle their effort. Atsigbekor is a unique dance full of choreographical moves
@@DRUMNICOdotcom my brother or sister, sometimes, it is nice to criticize but it is equally nice to criticize with caution.. They tried the best they could out there… Again some other folks may have done better but this does belittle their effort. Sometimes whenever we are critical we should also try switch to the other side of the spectrum.
