- Hey Creme Puffs! Today I'll be talking about whether or not royale high is getting boring to many players, and why that may be! I took notice that quite a few people on Twitter were talking about how Royale High was changing, and many people didn't exactly like it. It's been said that Royale High is losing its magical fairy and fantasy vibe, and is leaning more toward a more modern city feel to it! What do you guys think? what do you use to edit?* I use Filmora 9! I do pay for a subscription, and other wise it has a water mark. If you're looking for a free editing software without a watermark, then I don't recommend it. It works wonderfully otherwise!!⋆
what do you use to record? Ok so I use like this really random recording software that came with my PC, so it's not the greatest. The audio is bad too, so I have to film on that while I do a voiceover on filmora at the same time. Don't know it's name, because it just pops up when I hit a certain key combo. (only for windows users)
⋆*can you friend me?* Unfortunately, I don't friend people I don't know. I need to have talked to you in game, and gotten to know you enough before I friend you. I also like to have an active friend list, with people who still play roblox regularly. ⋆

I agree with most of the people in these comments. Ever since trading came out, diamonds and items have been the main aspect of the game. Even when diamond beach came out, people would just do the quest and go back to trading. I really hope the new school goes back to some of its roleplaying roots, because it's turning into a "collect all the items" game.

@maia 👹 I don’t think it’s cringe or specifically for kids, I think roleplaying is really fun and I think we should all roleplay. Imagine with all the stuff we have now and being a princess for example (with big dresses and just everything we have)

bruh it’s just because we need a role playing community, but everyone’s focused on items, the thing that made me a royale high player in the first place is the role plays. I made so many memories, but it’s pretty dry now. The oders don’t help either it can also make role playing frustrating.

I love deep roleplays 😭. I remember back in the start, when the new campus first came out there were really deep roleplays. I remember being like "Woah once I get the confidence I wanna do roleplays like that"

I stopped playing Royale high for almost a year by now and I think it was the best decision I could make. Royale high made me really obsessed and addicted to get some so called rare and popular items. After I stopped I just started feeling better with myself and I have found other games to play that some aren't even in Roblox

Same here, I was obsessed with the game and played it 24/7. The only thing I did was play the game. I would stay up late just to farm. I would wake up early in the morning just so I can start playing again. It was my favourite thing to do not knowing how much it damaged me. I started getting bored of it so that's why I stopped playing it. When I stopped everything got better for me. I started focusing a lot on my mental health and grades. I felt a lot happier when I quit and I'm really glad I did

Ik this was 8 months ago I also did this, I loved the game but the reason I kept playing wasnt because of my love for it. It was if I had an addicition(?) I kept playing for the possibility that I would be able to be like the people in the trading hub being rich asf. In my personal opinion the last best update was the st patricks day 2021 not that it is the best out of all of them but this was the last update I remeber myself enjoying, tbh the easter egg hunt update was also good at the begining after a week or less it got boring and just felt like farming due to how hard it was to get the item we wanted (not the devs fault because im assuming it was all RNG based). Although my love for it still isn't gone I occasionally play to go dress up in sunset island but a personal pet peeve of mine is the people in there but I won't get into that lol
In my opinion, royale high is changing a lot for me. I stopped playing royale high a month ago, now I BARELY play (if that makes sense 🤨). Sometimes I only go in because my friend wants to offer for something. The old royale high was so much fun! As royale high changes, it slowly loses my interest. I used to play royale high all the time, now the gameplay isn’t really there like it used to be. I think the devs are so hard working to make this amazing game for all kinds of roleplayers! I’ve been playing it for 4 years, now I mostly play murder mystery 2 and some other games. Thank you for making this video Gracie! 🤍

I totally agree! My inv is huge and I have around 500k diamonds but I have no goal. Nobody role plays anymore and there’s nothing to do. All I do is get my daily log ins and leave.

the objective now is to get items but back then it was roalplaying and also theres alot of annoying peapole in royal hight that make peapole hate the game i did enjoyed the halloween updates and more! i hope that the devs will give us a new update i mean i been playing this game 2 years and it was my first game that i played i was so obessed :)

Honestly I stopped playing royal high because of the prices of halos. I used to collected halos then I stop for a while. Four months ago I went back to collecting them but the prices were soo high! I can’t believe people try to sell them for 7mil. I haven’t played in about 2-4 months so maybe it might have changed but I also think I have grown out of royal high. I used to role play a lot but now royal high is just for collecting items 🤷🏽♀️

Me and my niece were just talking about the modern changes and gameplay in royal high not too long ago xD! But I have realized that everything is getting more modern, and it isn’t really about princess, mermaids and fairy’s anymore. There isn’t much gameplay.. even though royal high is a role-play game I think there should be more some more gameplay. Like maybe jobs to earn diamonds? Or a more fun way to earn diamonds and activities! And more stuff about fairy’s and mermaids, but since the dev’s are working really hard and we should be patient like what that tweet said in the video. :D

All I can do is roleplay in my private server all by myself, imagining other people are there too.
In my opinion I'm very excited for the updates, but I'm kinda tired of the devs delaying the new school.
To be honest I'll agree with it's losing magic thingy since I usually forget about it, even though it's not always a bad thing to become more modern
I 100% agree, roleplaying nowadays is really hard. Most of the players are more interested in trading, don't talk or they make fun of you/judge you for roleplaying. :(
@@vezetion3910 ikr 😞 I miss it so much. I loved when the old royale high was here. When there weren’t that many halos that everyone overprices fights over how rare it is. Trading is cool and all but I kind of sometimes wish it wasent here since it kind of took over everything.

I remember when the devs said that the new was going to be coming out last September me and my friends were saving all of our robux for diamonds and a private server because we were so excited for the new element of the new school and the new items that could have potentially came out with it, and I remember us all being so crushed due to the fact that the school never came, and that now none of my friends play anymore. It's so sad to me that I'm getting bored and feel overwhelmed playing a game that I used to love so dearly.

Ok, jokes aside, the game is different from what it used to be, and not in a good way. Right now it's more like an 'item collector-dress-up-game', and if you ever played an item collector game you know you normally leave after collecting all items. There's just simply not much to do.
The problem with Royale High though is that collecting items is extremely difficult in certain cases and can be jarring even for old, experienced players. Because it feels like you are progressing incredibly slowly, and that makes many people just lose interest...
Before the game was mainly roleplay, and it was pretty fun. Discover a world of magic and fairies, go to school, meet friends and hang out at the cafe... things like that. And when I think of Royale High back then that's the image I get.
I first noticed this change when I was grinding for a set. It really puts into perspective how we don't really question _why_ we play Royale High at all.
At the time I was grinding for a set because I wanted to look cute in my roleplays. So I spent weeks there, and when I finally finished the set, I joined RH School and...
Well, you can already guess I didn't roleplay one bit.
I was so focused on prettying my character that I didn't focus on how I'd do the roleplay. I became anxious and too shy to speak to other players, they were all farming as well and almost nobody was roleplaying (That's how it is in RH most of the time) so I just kind of... didn't. It did not help I wasn't very good at speaking with people.
So I just went back to farming... kind of without much thought. And that's when I realized how the game had changed, cuz _I_ didn't really wanna roleplay anymore, _nobody_ did.
And then I ask you, why do you want to collect the items? To dress up your character, of course. But then is dress-up the main mechanic of RH? I don't think so. They already have Diamond Beach (I think it was called that), and well... simply put, it's boring.
It was fun at first but got tiring really quick when you had the same routine over and over... brings me to another flaw of RH. Repetition. I swear every time I get back into RH I get such bad burnout right after. It's such a frustrating game to play sometimes.
So I guess while it's fun dressing up in RH it just doesn't hold up alone... The lack of content in-game is real, and no, doing the same lessons over and over so much so you decorate the answers _isn't_ content. At least not the fun kind.
So ya... RH is kind of pointless and it's no wonder people leave after a while. So I think it's unfair to say it's just bc old players are growing up. That's part of it I agree but this game just has so many flaws.

Yeah cause there is no way the player count throughout most of this summer (around 40k if I’m correct) was low just because most of the player base is “growing up”. Similar to what you said, it’s a small reason but definitely not the main reason why people are getting bored of the game. We need new Rh content more than new items.

I love the royale high we have now,like more character customization and the events,but I have to admit,I do miss the times where everyone would just join the royale high school to roleplay as fairies and princesses,stuff like that.All I really do now is login and sometimes trade :’) I’m very grateful for what the developers has done for us,just wished that there were more roleplay factors-

i feel like YES the magic is fading away , im a roleplayer myself i roleplay not so often anymore, mostly because its so so so awkward trying to find someone to RP with you, and most people just go to trading - and some goes to schools just to farm
I always knew trading was a bad idea for Royale High, like yes, you can get the items you've dreamed of but people overprice it so much that they're making you pay more than it actually is, and it's so frustrating and unfair. Also, people would become lazy to put effort into getting something they want. Ever since trading came out, people just cared about items and trading, nothing else. My friends for example, they just traded, nothing else. We would role-play and spend time together but now it's just farming, collecting, buying, trading, and repeat. Now, they don't play anymore except if there's a new update, just like me and most players because Royale High is boring. It got boring to do every single thing over and over again each year. It's been 3-4 years, and we still have the trick or treating and apple bobbing, nothing new, though the haunted house is a new thing on the map, it's still not out and I'm sure it will take time to release it even though it says it's 'coming soon.'
The other point is, the players have grew up. They're not the same they were 3-4 years ago, we have more things to do in real life than play a game. We probably got addicted to other things. That's how things go, things will not stay the same forever, and when they don't, you grow out of the game into not playing it anymore, and that's fine, but when you come back to Royale High, you would just wish it was a place where you could relax but it just adds more stress with farming.
Additionally, the prices for items have increased so much to the point where you only go to Royale High to farm. You don't play, you don't have fun, you don't communicate, you're like a robot. Why do you think people are trying to cheat so much just to get one item? Of course, if you're with friends, it will be more fun but it's not the same as roleplaying or having those special moments with your friends. In my case, when my friend and I are farming together (which rarely happens), we talk for a few minutes and then we stay silent, being our target: farm. You don't even know why you farm, you just do. Either to flex, trade, or just have the items to feel satisfy about your hard work.
I appreciate all the hard work from the developers since coding is not easy at all, but even with the aesthetic maps, new sets, new items, and new updates, there's something failing there. Royale High is sure going through its downfall. (The maps are so pretty thoughhh, good place to do photoshoots.)
Im very mixed about RH losing its fantasy feeling , depending on how long you play the feeling will be very different, if you're a new player you wouldn't feel that much. HOWEVER, if you're an extremely old player ( like me who's been playing since 11/8/17 ), the change and feeling will be much greater.
I used to be addicted in this game, because all i do is role play, hangout with friends and online date. Now, it's more of a trading game and who gets the expensive items and halos. People are more focus in farming (which i don't blame them tho, since there's so much sets, items in games and it's hard to collect diamonds if you do not have any gamepass) and you cannot role-play that much like it used to be, I miss my friends who quitted this year.

@@kyux1810 the game use to average 90k-100k players daily , and now it averages 40k-50k players daily. (It’s also not because of school , since it slowly started decreasing during quarantine.)

Literally true I seen so many people selling items for 70k or 100k when I was looking for rr skirt in the trading hub someone said they were selling it for 70k and I told them it wasn't fair and then they said "UGH FINE THEN 60K" And I said not fair and they said "1k then. NAHH SIKE" And then decided the trade rude people nowadays (sorry for long text)
Divinia was a a really good realm.. It actually had the fairy element. The old diamond beach from 2018 actually had that fantasy vibe to it. I really like diamond beach but it doesn't feel as magical as it should feel.

I, personally love the changes they are making.I've been playing Royal high right when the old school came out. (it was new back then) IT's crazy to see where it comes from and even if the gameplay does become boring sometimes, every game typically DOES lose its spark when you have no friends like me. I think that Seasonal updates like the recent summer update and the coming Halloween updates are always spicy. I LOVE battle a la royal and I think that a few more mini-games. I feel like the devs are working SO hard on the new school, and ofc Halloween update. Doing the same classes over and over again can get boring. But IF or WHEN the new school does come out, I feel like it might make the game spicy again. Then again, we don't know when that will come out. overall, I agree Royal High CAN get boring BUUTTT it truly is an amazing game and has ofc developed and bunch. I think that once there is a new permanent update and not just a seasonal update, it will probably give it a spark.
I think royale high could also be improved if sets weren’t so ridiculously expensive. I have both multipliers, but by the time i get the set, im so exhausted that i don’t want to play anymore. and a majority of players can’t afford multipliers. it would be so much more fun if getting items wasn’t a burden.
the game is so modernized imo. its not abt fairies and princesses its litterally abt computers and science and going to space and economy and getting rich. not to mention the lack of roleplay :(

RH back then was about fairytales, princesses and mermaids. I remember back then I roleplaying myself fighting with the dark fairies/witches and I have sooooo much fun. Now I can't even find some random players roleplaying with. Those scumbags will call me a cringelord if I try to find someone to roleplay. Plus my account got hacked 5 or 6 months ago so I have to start over which is, ugh...

I’ve recently started playing Royale high again after I saw an easier way to get diamonds quickly and I thought to myself “that’s crazy it’ll be really easy to get new sets”, and after that I started getting more invested grinding everyday to start getting better and better. Now that I’ve seen this video I have to kinda agree with you, Royale high isn’t what it used to be with the Role Playing and everything, going to class and watching the role plays people would post onto RUclips, it’s just repetitive gameplay. Grinding, buying something, trading, grinding, purchasing, trading and it just goes on and on. And with enchantix high leaving, just makes me feel sad considering that that’s the game that I’ve been playing when I was younger. I do hope that the new school will be better and everything changes, so I just gotta accept that.

I'm not sure whether I'd like Royale High to be modern or not anymore, but the old Royale High definitely had a magical feeling. But even though Royale High has always been my favorite Roblox game, I have to admit it IS getting quite boring. The reason of this is because A LOT of people only play Royale High to get their daily log ins, spin the wheel, farm for new sets, halos etc, and they aren’t actually engaged in the game. Like another commenter said, doing those things are like doing chores, (I agree with this) which suggests that they are plain and boring. But let’s not forget that the purpose of a game is to have fun..
Adding on to that, I’ve also noticed that Royale High is losing its players, and that's pretty obvious to be honest. A few years ago, you can almost always see a few hundred thousand players playing Royale High, but now there's only a few ten thousand, or sometimes just a few thousand players.
Well, I’ve seen quite a few people say "trading ruined Royale High". Really, I would most definitely agree with this, but think about Adopt me. What made it so popular? Pets and trading. Although trading may be great, it is one of the main reasons people forget the purpose of a game.
I feel really sad saying this, but I feel like Royale High is one of the dying games… :(
Overall, I agree that Royale High is getting a bit boring. However, Royale High is still a great game that many love (including me!). Royale High developers are also working tremendously hard on the new campus and Halloween event, and we all need to appreciate them for putting their time and effort into the updates!

I agree. RH's downfall is similar to Adopt Me, were it's a fun roleplaying game, until trading and pets come
I think to make RH more interesting I think there should be jobs (like the pizza delivery quest in Diamond beach) to gain more diamonds and have more options for farming, and also I feel like there should be more interesting things in the beach maps like a underwater mermaid town and more magical elements to the maps to keep it less modern!
hell no, knowing the devs they would make like 2 different jobs and make both of them repeatitive. you would 100% get bored in week

Royal high is a great game, the developers put alot of hard work into it, and I play it everyday, but as an og who played the game for the royal role-playing, I just wish they had more gameplay/story aspects to it rather than new sets (too many sets tbh-) and collecting expensive/seasonal items.
I hope the new school comes out soon so we would have more royalty and game play in the game :>>

Yeah like this game was really a fantasy and fairytale game buti think now it is more about fashion and modernity like I mean that isn't bad but it kinda strayed the og concept and so ye but it is getting boring in ways. Also there is too many sets and it is really hard to grind so basically I think it is alot about items now

i found royale high boring for a considerably long time, and stopped playing not long after the summer update. ive only just started again because i have friends that play a lot. gradually reintroducing myself to the game has actually been quite fun, and so taking a break is something i would recommend if you find it boring at the moment. remember spooky season’s nearly here and that update will hopefully be great!

I’ve been playing rh for 1, pretty much 2 years now and it’s feeling like a chore to try and get new items. I’m starting to find games which I like way more like super doomspire, Arsenal, etc. And I’m playing games that aren’t on Roblox like Minecraft and Genshin Impact. I feel like the main reason it’s boring to me is that I’m getting older (I’m 14, and was 12 when I started playing), I have a larger variety of video games to play now and I barely go on rh anymore. I tried doing my log ins today and I didn’t even manage to teleport to the apartments but then I joined “Islands” and ended up playing for like 2 hours. Trading is a chore, diamond farming is mentally painful.
i relate to this sm, i was a kid when i started playing and now i’m not and i think i’ve grown out of it. i’m really into Genshin Impact atm, and royale high has just not been as a appealing for quite a while now.
I agree I feel like it’s not really so much losing it’s shine just the content creators are getting older and moving from Roblox and if they are old enough away from games and now it’s more focused on collecting and it’s not as interactive as genshin and other games like lol so I feel like it’s just getting left behind

I honestly will probably never stop playing royal high but I do believe people are more into accessory’s and looks more then the game so I do believe they should add something that is not reflecting on looks and I do think they should add something with role playing this is my personal opinion
I love royale high, I’ve made a lot of memories with it and I know that the devs are working to make it better but all the items just cost too much these days. I don’t have any game passes and it takes a really long amount of time to farm, plus I have school now. I barely play at this point tbh.
damn i just dislike how modern royale high is looking these days. i appreciated the temporary realm we got for easter as it had that magical fairy elements, but the new beach realm felt way too modern for me. there's no fantasy to it other than the cave. the apartments and lobby also are hypermodenized. i love that we have those things, but it doesn't match the vibe of a princess/fairy fantasy role play game. they could use a redesign. i appreciate the work the devs do, but i think they really should take a different approach on building realms. however, i'm liking the spooky whimsical look of wickery hills. i'd hope they keep it up.
i didnt play this game since last year. a lot changed since including the community like og RH youtubers not uploading much anymore and big RH twitter accounts quitting already. developers kept teasing the new campus for literally 2 years that the hype is dying down. my OG friends that i met on RH arent active on that game neither. i honestly dont care about the updates anymore LOL the last thing they can put me back to playing it is releasing the new campus
Even tho I just started playing royale high 6 month ago, it's just getting really boring to me. It's all just about getting diamond and items. I always wanted to play royale high, but as soon as I joined the game I suddenly don't want to play the game (y'know what I mean). I also tried some things that youtubers recommending us to do when we're bored, but nothing's work for me. When I wanted an item so bad, I suddenly gave up because I realized I might won't use it often. Also royale high is quite laggy for me so sometimes it gave me headache for the lag.
Honestly it is, its more trading and modern stuff then the basic roleplay you would expect from a game in roblox. less fairy and princess items, and more casual items! its becoming like a basic high school rp then a fantasy rp, especially since they are deleting enchantix and the old items that had the fairy vibe!

I like how they added things more modern like fashion and technology. But they also need to keep the fantasy in the game. I think there should be a variety. Like a modern city, a fairytale town, an old fashion suburb, etc. Places and things that are inspired by a variety of worlds

While some up it I think is just a lot of players outgrowing it. Rh’s community started out as just a roleplaying one. Now it’s a how rich you can get, which is fine ig, but so many playing for the sole purpose to get items 2 main things happen;
1. You eventually get bored if you have all the items you wanted (and truly feel fulfilled). This mostly results in a long break, til a new halo , set, or item you like comes out.
2. You have too much trouble getting your wanted items, you decide it’s not worth the frustration anymore and quit/take a break.
I PERSONALLY feel like more NEWER items need to added more frequently. With the way the game has been set up, and a lot of players mindsets lately, we’re going to get bored with one set every update; you get the set/item(s) then have no need to play until the next update comes out. Roleplaying is a lot more sustainable by itself, the problem is not a lot of players haven’t been doing that lately and are waiting for the new school. Thanks for my Tedtalk, lol.
The only reason I play RH everyday, is just to hope that something interesting happens. Or might see my old friends who aren’t online all the time..
Now the whole game literally like a competition of “Who’s the most richest person” or “who has the highest levels”.
I did think about quitting, but I came so far, I did so much for the game. It’s such a shame to waste it all and end up quitting.
I feel like the only thing that can save the game Royale High, and go back to roleplaying is the new school. But it’s been literally a year and a half, almost two years for crying out loud.
When I’m bored, I go to the old realms, and see some newbies roleplaying. Which makes me happy, but I haven’t seen anyone roleplay anymore, that’s sad.
I really do miss 2018 royal high. I had stoped playing for almost a year now (roblox too) cause of mental issues due to people on there. But it’s almost the holiday, spooky months, and I always remember the fun I had back in 2018 in this game. It was so much fun. The Halloween update was amazing, and the Christmas update was my favorite, it was so cozy . It was a vibe ngl. Then 2019 Halloween was my favorite!! ( and I loved the 2019 Easter event I loved the egg hunts!) But then 2019 Christmas… it was okay but I think that’s when I started losing interest in the game. I started getting Idk, disappointed I guess. I was mainly hoping for anothe egg hunt type thing (homestore) and it never came. I was really down come during 2020, update after update it felt I was missing something + all the toxic players that came with trading. It was rough. And in I think November of 2020, I quit. I was done with the rollercoster of feelings. And tbh, I was growing up. I’m in HS, and I don’t have a lot of time for stuff like that. But idk I might come back for nostalgia but other than that. I don’t think I’ll be playing anytime soon. I miss those days though. A lot.
I've been playing royale high since 2017 and I remember, almost everyday, I'd be doing some sort of role-play or I'd be exploring an update of some sort like the 2018 Halloween event in which to this day is probably one of my favourite events! Lately I've been noticeing I unintentionally take breaks that last up to months then once again start playing for another few weeks or so until I get bored.. I just want something to do that's not gonna lag out my phone😂
With the tweet that said that the devs don’t really care about the game anymore, the devs have been working so hard and they actually have a life other than working on royal high. They’ve been working on it so hard but they have other stuff in their lives that they need to take care of as well.
I have only started playing royal high last year. I don't know how it was like 4 years ago, at the beginning. I love royal high and I will love it no matter the changes! Things do change and sometimes into better.

I think that people shouldn’t be getting upset at the devs because like most things, it’s really up to interpretation. Some people feel the game is just about getting items now and it’s boring but I am really into fashion and like dressing up and designing outfits as well as role play. That’s why I don’t feel the game is getting boring because I don’t think it’s JUST about collecting items (although I do love collecting things and I have not been playing for a super long time). I only really get to play royale high when I’m at my cousin’s house but she seems to be getting bored of it too and she hasn’t been playing for more than a year. I think that she doesn’t get that collecting isn’t only what the game is about. So that’s why I think that it’s not the developers’ fault because they have created an amazing game with lots to do but everyone has different options and interpretations. That’s my thoughts and opinions.

I really love royale high. I play it all the time, i just think it would be nice to add some magical stuff like it used to be, you know? Like, it was a game based on winx. I think it would be nice to add a winx set or something related to mermaids, witches etc. But it is a good game. The sad thing is that people mostly play it for halos and rare stuff. I do agree that it is nice to have things in a game you like. I honestly love to dress up, its one of my favorite things to do. Sometimes, people spend ALL the day just to farm and sometimes doesnt even enjoy the things that are really important. But we all know the devs are working on new things so we can enjoy. i'm so focused on farming for new items that i didn't even know that royale high had updated (besides the summer set, diamond beach and the appartments area)
in my opinion, Royale high is now just about getting items, sets, etc. I’m getting really invested in getting diamonds for sets.. although, Royale high isn’t really about what it’s used to. Like there should be ways that are easier to get diamonds. Like jobs, or other things about magical creatures.
There used to be so many fun things that got removed for example that flower stand I used to pretend that I was a florist and it was adorable and I wish that little stand would come back because that was the joy of playing royal high and since it got removed i was searching for something else to like- pretend when I’m as bored instead of just making tea in the apartments. That flower stand was my royal high it literally brought the magic to me tho.

If you don’t want to do my idea I totally understand, it’s not for everyone and that’s okay! You could try tycoons for a while then go back to royale high, tycoons are a good way to take a break, you build stuff in most of them and it keeps you wanting to keep playing. Some downsides tho are that people might not be as interested in tycoons and a lot of them don’t save your progress after you play. When I heard the news about the new school and how it's going to look like, it immediately reminded me of robloxian high school. So I think after the new campus is released, I believe many people will start role playing more I guess?

This is sad since royal High is one of my favourite games, but some days, I can just pick a different game and forget and royal High. Now people are always trading and farming, and I feel it loses it's fun :(
i’ve been playing royale high for about 3-4 years and i stopped playing in the last year since trading and the new expensive sets came out. it was a turning point for me abs i became obsessed with collecting items and farming diamonds. i lost touch with my friends who i met through roleplay and spent about 90% of the time in the trading hub.
i also did that because i got bored that we don’t have any activities and no proper way to get diamonds. once i found a way to get rick quickly i didn’t stop abs got bored early.
i think they should add new activities like working part time in the schools; working in the cafeteria, picking up rubbish around the campus or even cleaning up the swimming pool. just extra curricular activities tht earn you diamonds! it can also be like bloxburg where you level up in the job and increase what you earn!
i think they should also add npcs to interact with: whether it’s students that walk about the school, teachers in classes, pedestrians on earth with quests, beach goers at the beach house or fairies in divinia!
edit: i tried going to diamond beach and it is exactly what i’m talking about!
The main things that are making me want to quit royale high is:
1: The need to look rich
I'm one of the OG players, i've been there since it was just a winx club fan game and it was all so peaceful back then. However now whenever I play the game, everyone has all these really rich looking outfits and have only been playing since 2021 or something and some of them even judge people for not being as rich as them. That's why I always want to leave so badly when playing with certain people, some of them have outfits that make them look super rich and I feel like i'm stuck in the style of 2020 players.
2: It being boring. There isn't any roleplays to join, there's nothing that brings back the magic of wanting to do stuff in the game, it's all just trade this trade that
If anyone here does want to roleplay with other people in royale high I recommend enchantix highschool, it's good to bring back the nostalgia before it gets removed. Another alternative could be Fantasia Getaway, since yeah there's like some toxic people and oders, but you can do a bit of server switching and you'll find a roleplay server pretty quicly (hopefully)
In my opinion(as an old player), I feel old players are getting bored not only because we have done everything, but also because I feel it was more the newer players that started over pricing things. Yes, old players still did too. But certain items have less value to older players because they were playing for so long and had time to get those items, compared to new player who have had less time to get item because they haven't been playing as long, and will find value in something that isn't available anymore even if it was free when it released(mainly new years 2019 item for example). In my opinion royale high has lost its magical feeling because of all the modern items. I get that some people have a more modern style, and that's fine they should be able to express themselves however they want. Everyone should, that's what I think royale high is about. It's a safe spot for everyone, no matter what their style is, or anything. My only suggustion would be to try to balance the modern and the magical.
Some good places to roleplay are the fantaisia hotel as most roleplayers go there, the old school, apartments lobby, the beach house sometimes? And ye :)

I personally really really love the game the sometimes these days i forget to play it and mostly play games like piggy etc because i think the updates have been quite less and that might be the also reason of this . So might this also be the issue i think gracie!!! :D , but overall the game HAS left its magical effect on it did long time ago so maybe if they make the new school more magical that will quite help to boost the game .
I miss it when it used to be about role-playing, now it's only about: get expensive items & seasons items, and trade. You never really see roleplays that are alive at the actual schools... :(

I still see plenty of roleplayers (especially in Campus 2 and Diamond Beach, oh and the dark fairy dorms in Enchantix), and I have figured out fun ways to get enough diamonds. A trick I use is if I get bored, I take a break for a few months.
Royal high is putting a lot of effort but I think they should make items cheaper because farming is really hard. Especially for people which don’t have time . I still appreciate their work but they need to fix these things.

I really miss the old royale high, which ppl always play roleplay with strangers and soon become friends. But now all in rh is just farming and farming and farming. Not much ppl even went to the school and play rp anymore.. sometimes i kinda wish the trading was never here lol. Its like if the trading was never here, maybe it would still be the same as the past. I miss the time i having fun playing roleplay with my old friends.. I miss the old time... maybe some ppl doesnt agree with me, some ppl think that trading is the best thing in this game. But its getting hard these days.. the halos and rare items keep increasing into an insane amount that a normal player cant even afford for. And the event its just getting harder and harder just driving the player crazy. Just like the quest, i done the quest in like 2-3 days, maybe it was easy for a grown-up children. But that doesnt mean the other ppl could done it that easy. I didnt went to the beach for a long while, i went to the beach yesterday, and there are still ppl that is struggle to done the quest and get the item. I know the dev work really hard on the update, but its like they are making the update massive but it usually just making ppl drive crazy for the update items.
As sad as it is, I agree. I never noticed before but royale high is being a lot more modern lately and there’s nothing wrong with that but to me and a lot of other people it’s “losing its magic.” Aka the reason we started playing. The second thing is even with how big the crew is now seasonal updates are coming out less and less. My favourite part about royale high was the seasonal Halloween and Christmas updates! Last year we didn’t even get anything new for Halloween or Christmas. One change I’ve hated myself is how every update is a new realm. First it takes them forever to release, and it just disappears after a month! I feel like if they just did what they did before with decorating the existing realms updates would come out faster, and people would enjoy it more. I used to always know that the seasonal updates would come out on the 1st-3rd of every month and I was happy with that! I really am trying to hold on to royale high but the crew is becoming increasingly unreliable with every update. Third thing is the community. Part of this isn’t the crews fault but I feel like I should talk about it. In my opinion trading was a terrible idea. Nobody role plays anymore and all anyone plays for is the halos. Sometimes I still roleplay with the new players in enchantix but even that’s being removed.. I really pains me to say this because Royale high has become a big part of my childhood ever since 2017. I find myself playing it less and when I am I log off after 20 minutes. At this point it may be too late for it but I truly hope it isn’t.

I'm late to this video, but I wanted to say that although Royale High has become more about accumulating items and halos, I think that the intention of the upcoming school is to balance it out more. I really hope that the new update will fix a lot of the issues talked about in the video, and maybe that's why it's taking so long.
Idk what would be considered an OG rh player but I am and I remember how magical it felt when the first Christmas update came out and it just was so pretty and it felt so amazing and if I recall correctly I know that they make other places to go to during Christmas time but I am still kinda sad they didint change the school to ice and crystals like they used to this year as it is something that I remember being one of my favorite things off the game and core memory in my heart when I first saw it.

Like the Christmas map was magical the first year. But it’s been like almost 3 years and like no changes at all period. Even the advent calendar doesn’t have any new items this year. And the news years set and games were the same 2 years in a row. I hope all of this is just because of the school and that this will all be better after they’re done but idk.

I was an OG player and I must agree with you! Halloween has been the same each year with apple bobbing and trick or treating, there isn't much to do anymore. I used to always roleplay but there isn't much to roleplay for anymore.
Royale High has grown a lot and each update is so well thought out and planned however I feel like trading really started the decline. I feel like this is the community’s fault. Everyone is in the trading hub now. I love when the Devs released Diamond beach with the quests and the amazing new map for role playing. I think the devs should focus on updates that involve mini games and new areas to explore.
Royals high has changed, I even experienced someone hitting on me. They just want items and to look richer and famous, now new players feel nervous because people look so good! In my opinion royal high now is like a talent show “ooo look at me” and “ooo vote for me” but since people are growing older they can seem like bullies to the younger players which happened to my sister who is 9. Yet with the new school (not all release) its still is boring. Farming still is tiring, because the missions sometimes are long or you need to teleport all the time for a specific mission in block B, but you are in block A (and the animation for teleport doesent help). And even with multipliers is a hard task. Not only that, but the prices are huge for no reson. Most of the players that are new probably will not afford most of the sets and feel obligated to buy the gamepass. And its even worse talking about dorm items. I dont see anyone doing RPG, and the most focus is getting items and up levels. If peaple only focus on the items, the devs should focus on making the game more fun to farm and reduce the prices. I played for 1 moth in the school, and I already stoped playing. Its to repetitive and unistristing, and Im scared that the new classes will not make it better.
When you said about the new school, I was excited until I realized that I think it's one of the devs that said that when the new school comes out, they'll remove Enchantix High. I couldn't believe it.
Ive been playing for years and have all the gamepasses, so I technically can't stop playing even if it gets absolutely boring, it would be a waste of money 😅

Ok this may be long. I do prefer the old royale high, you know when there were chicken heels,just the classic high school, no rich people being rude to quote on quote poor people etc. It was just a more kind and innocent place and it was more fun so it can get abit boring rn but I still play because it is a fun and magical game.
I haven’t played royale high in so long and I wish it could all go back to how it was 2 years ago,there were no accessories and people just had fun role playing.Nowadays you go in a server full of rich people and you can find anyone to role play with.
I hate to say but it is becoming a lot less fun. I have seen many people saying there quitting and me and my friends slowly fell away from it. The game is awesome and everything but i do think a lot of people are leaving is because the game used to be about dressing up and role playing going to school ect, but now its about halos trading new sets yada yada yada so I honestly feel bad for the devs because they work hard on this game and now people are leaving. Hopefully things will get better once the new school comes out

I have to agree with everyone else here, I prefer the old royale high. I remember waking up everyday being happy to play royale high but now I barely play it unless there's an event on or sum.
Royale High definitely lost its original spark, which was the theme of fairies and princess. Roleplaying used to be really fun and was very common. Now, all people care about is trading, rare items and farming. It has become so repetitive and the events have become worse. All of the new events are now boring, making it feel like there wasn't any update to the game at all. A lot of players used to talk about Royale High stuff a lot. Now, barely anyone mentions the words ROYALE HIGH. In fact, Roblox is dying now as well. There used to be lots of great events and stuff, which allowed Roblox to become heated and mentioned quite a lot. But, Roblox removed everything and stopped all the monthly events from happening. Since then, Roblox isn't even popular anymore. More people are leaning to Minecraft, other variety games or just barely even playing video games now.
We as a community have put down role playing which was the main point of royal high so it's really our falt

Reasons being:
1. Nobody roleplays anymore. I remember in the earlier days, all everyone did was roleplay, including myself. It was so fun that people even did solo roleplays.
2. All of the events and holiday updates are either recycled, or lazily made. It seems like not much thought is going into them anymore. Any event past about 2020 has been incredibly boring. And since roleplay has died down, the events and cool updates were the only thing that made the game fun.
3. The game has literally turned into a simulator. I thought it was supposed to be a fun magical highschool to roleplay in, but now we're all focused on farming and getting enough levels to get to the trading post. That's not fun and magical at all.
Overall, the developers have gone lazy, and I don't care how hard they're working right now. I'd rather them work hard to make something fun and worthwhile, rather than work hard to create a bland and recycled update.
And if Barbie stops talking out of her ass and actually adds the new school, maybe people will start roleplaying again.
Not necessarily, too many people are focused on trading or farming these days. If they added multiple minigames, that might help a little bit, but consider rp not a revivable option.
Royale high has turned into adopt me, just a “collect them all” game for 5-12 year olds. Started off as a fun, memorable game where people role played for hours on end each day, but now do for different reasons. I played back in the 2017-2018 era, quit for 3 years, because my 8 year old self just didn’t really like playing it so much anymore. Came back to it about a week ago and seeing I missed so much stuff and maybe should’ve attended it’s events at least. I’m still exploring the stuff that is new to me, but I still don’t have enough diamonds for anything yet. Royale high is good if you’re young or you’re an og coming back to play after forever. Other than that, RH is just kind of lost it’s magic.

I haven’t been playing Royale high for a bit of time- probably 3 months or something. My friends have been begging me to roleplay with them, but I keep saying no because there isn’t enough roleplaying things. I understand, it is becoming more modern and moving things away from princesses, fairies, and mermaids. But when my sister said to me that she wanted to me play sunset island with me, I said yes. When I looked at the shop, I saw the summer things going away in 9 days, and (not to be rude to those who like the summer set) I was pretty happy. Because the summer set and items, and diamond beach have been out for 4 months, and I think it is finally time for them to go away. The devs have been working on the new school for almost a year now, that’s another reason why I haven’t been playing it. So around 5 days ago, I started saving up for the Halloween sets + a new one, and I think I’m pretty happy!
And also being able to roleplay with other ppl sometimes is hard, cuz they have they’re own roleplaying, and roleplay alone can get rlly lonely and boring (remember this is my opinion)
I found amazing friends and we still do role plays and hang out, I do try diamond farming to get my dream items but I agree with that one tweet about the mini games, honestly once the devs are done with the new school I hope they get more aware of this issue and add something like this!
Honestly, the only reason why it's getting boring is that we have lost our rp community and enchantix high is leaving and they have taken out most of the places to diamond farm around the realms. I remember in 2020 when i would join people playing in roleplaying and it would honestly be so much fun it would take up most of my day tbh and then i would go diamond farm. But they have taken all of that out. I honestly hope that this will change in the future.
I doubt it. Too many players are interested in trading for roleplay to even become revived, even if the new school comes out. Some people don't even care about the new updates anymore.
i used to play royals high a lot 2 years ago and when it came out! I miss the time with the old enchantix high, when no skirts and shoes were out yet. The community was great and i loved when accessories came out but i stopped playing because it got boring and there was no motive.
I’m 21 and play royale high as a game to play with my little cousins. I honestly enjoy it as well, but I also just started. But there are times where I do feel really bored just collecting shells, playing at the school, or doing pageants. I played Club penguin back when it first came out and I keep telling my little cousins that I wish they would make it similar to that. Give some customization to the apartments, more than just the color. Have mini games in each area that can earn diamonds or items. Or even add an arcade. Anything that would just give more variety.
i really miss the old royale high now. it's getting boring and i really would like new things
i'm TIRED of bullies and toxic players. the royale high devs have their own lives too, though.
imo, i think it’s bc royale high’s fanbase is growing up AND bc rh is getting boring
im an old player, i started playing back in early 2018 when i was around 10, and i remember loving the game and feeling so excited to role play bc i had never seen anything like it before. but now im 14 and… eh… role playing kinda is just not for me anymore so i think many players have also felt this way and yeah
as for the game getting boring, i think the downfall was when rh added the 2018 halloween accessories. bc this was smth rh players had never seen (i mean, original models of accessories like shoes and PLUS we’d never gotten any necklaces or sleeves until then) It started a chain of adding season themed accessories, (e.g when dear dollie set was added the following year) and people started to focus more on when these accessories were gonna come out and everything just started becoming accessory based and slowly as the accessories started looking better/cooler, more people started joining the game and the new players contributed to it becoming even more accessory/dress up focused and yeah
the game went from being a role playing game to just a straight up dress up game :,)
I still enjoy playing it but it just doesn’t have the same magical feel to it ykwim
it's really getting more and more boring with all the updates being released after like 5 weeks of the og date, really annoying.

I just wish there were ten times more things to do. Instead of making new clothes and items and what not focus on mini games and things like that. Half of the things on that map usually no one plays. They have zero meaning anymore. Even Enchantix High I absolutely never play because it just feels so repetitive.

I like role playing, and would love to do it more often it’s just hard to find people who are able to play and will actually do it properly and not just do everything themselves and control the story e.g a fight and they never get injured. It gets quite annoying but I love making memories and talking to people! It is really fun! 🥰 Like I love inquisitor masters’ old videos! 🥰
what I think they should do is make actual jobs in a future update, like, working at the pizza place in diamond beach
