Nice looking panniers and you pointed out something that is also a complaint I have. Most panniers/rack systems sit too far out from the bike frame and is pretty ugly ( imo) . These see to solve that issue and at a good price. Also, you are right about the budget cam. Poor sound. Enjoy Mallorca guys. Dan ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Thank you Dan. Yes there's definitely a balance to be had. I'd probably want a little bit more support on the pannier but nothing that makes it stick out with an air gap. That looks weird to me, it's an bike designed to look old and therefore the luggage should be in keeping really. If something does come up with a little small frame that doesn't stick out and doesn't cost £150 I'll look out for it but as stands I'll just use the panniers like they are. Thanks 😊
These kinds of canvas or fabric saddlebags really fit the look of the British standard type of motorcycle. I’m surprised how well they held up in the crash. That’s about as good a review as you could give!
Hi Mark, thanks for the comment. Yes on my old bike I had the aluminium boxes which are very useful and secure but they just don't suit the look of this bike at all and you'd struggle to get any which were compatible. Throw over saddlebags are perfect, when travelling will just store my t shirts and underwear in them🤣 and keep the valuable stuff in a removable roll bag then if I stop and someone goes into the saddlebags then I've not really lost anything important.
Very nice dude you can see the uk sticker from space 😳😂👍🏻
If you look at my early videos I had a piece of notepaper and black marker 🤣🤣. We've improved
Side side bag. One of these would look good on the left side of my SCR950. I'd go for the green. Nick
They are not bad Nick, especially for the price. Cheers, Sean
looks great and a very reasonable price 👍
Thanks for the comment BP. What are you using on your GS? If anything?
@@MindfulMotorcyclist nothing at the moment however, was going to order some throw over Lomo's. They are really good but no where near as stylish as yours. But, they are super waterproof and as you know, wet days are common place in the UK.
I’ve just ordered some of these in the green for my bonneville T120.
I’ve got the original triumph wax cotton tank bag which is very nice and lovely quality. But it should be for the money. And is great for longer day trips.
I won’t be using the saddle bags much other than possibly for the odd night away with the Mrs. So I don’t want a rigid frame on the bike all the time with no bags attached, and I also don’t want to pay £500+ for something that might get used 1 or twice a year.
So these seems a good compromise, so I’ve thought why not after watching your video and ordered a set.
Thanks DJ, nice. I think you have nailed it, for your use case you don't really need £500 spend. If you need any help fitting then by all means please send me an email. Its in the about me section of the channel IIRC. I'm sure you'll find a place on the T120 to locate the fitting straps too. Green too, I do like the green. Cheers.
@@MindfulMotorcyclist cheers, I went for the green as my Bonnie tank bag is the Olive genuine triumph one. So I thought the green would be a close ish match 👍🏻
Like the Panniers Sean I think the throw overs would be my choice and the camera visuals were very good the sound was a little suspect although whilst of the bike sounded good if it was the same set up 👌👍
Hi Crumbly, thanks for the feedback there. On the bike the camera is 'good enough' and the sound I'm working on as best I can. Determined to make it work! It was the same set up off the bike and seemed fine then. The problem is when the mic is too close to your mouth and mounting it in a helmet by design its never too far from your mouth. A few more goes and I'll have it sorted I expect. Thanks 😊
I have the same panniers they’re great.
Where did you hear about them Jayne? Out of interest? Thanks
That chap was so friendly and spoke such good English. As a football supporter, don't panic everybody, I'd be interested if the lixe of Senor Wenger and Monsieur Mourinho have a method for learning multiple languages? It obviously helps to be paid a decent wage and live in a country to learn a language tho I guess.
He was also from Madrid which perhaps means more chance of learning multiple languages. Most people here speak a little English because it is a holiday destination I suppose... oh and German everyone here is German 🤣
@@MindfulMotorcyclist Mourinho is Portuguese. He did mange Rael Madrid tho.
Was i seeing things or have you bought that 3 piece red sticker set for the GoldStar, i only saw one but am getting the same for mine, when they come back in stock, that is.
I have had the red three piece from MSR yes Ian. I didn't use the tank filler cap sticker though as that seemed a bit too much. I was back and forth about whether to add them but the original stickers are a bit crap let's be honest and these ones have a raised and gel feel. Really smart. They also have black and gold which could be an option as it matches the frame and parts lower down on the bike. I chose red to match with the tank badge. Happy with them.
Thanks i think the red ones suit my Midnight black bike and like you said they along with the red tank badges are a big improvement.
Out of interest Ian do you like the shadow Black bike with its solid gloss black tank...
Nice luggage that suits the look of the bike. Is there any risk that the bags will get caught in the wheel?
Hi Dave to be honest I did worry about this to start with when i was first fitting them. The buckles luckily don't have the reach to get into the spokes but if you were careless with the straps there's a small chance yes. At the moment I secure them carefully and if a solution comes up with a neat rail that isn't mounted away from the bike and it's not £150 then I might add that for extra security. At the moment I've used them loads and never had a serious worry about catching in wheel. Thanks.
@@MindfulMotorcyclist Thanks Sean. It`s a thing that does worry me and I totally agree that most racks stick out too much and don`t look good.
Ride safe.
Dave.
What's the camera set up U were talking about? Cheap one
Hi Clark, I've been playing with the IZEEKER IA200 budget action cam, just to see what one can achieve with a small budget. 😀
I’m a bit confused, will a real insurance quote be different for your son. That is for both cars?
Sorry I'm confused here Paul? Is this something I said in the video?
I think you might have commented on the wrong video Paul 🤷🏻♂
The audio is fine when the microphone is further away from your mouth
Thanks Simon, appreciate that feedback. Just a matter of placing the microphone on or around the helmet to reduce the wind noise and not be too close to the mouth. I'll get there eventually 👍😃
