Anyone who has had real fried chicken would look at this list and puke. You included banquet chicken, their chicken is why I learned how to make real fried chicken so I wouldn't have to eat that crap anymore, and I stopped eating them 20 years ago
Banquet fried chicken in the box is a mixed bag, er box. The breading tastes excellent and indeed it's always very crispy. However, it's always pretty oily, and the portioning leaves a lot to be desired. Many pieces I've gotten have dingleberries of fried gristle, skin and even bony fragments so manual "editing" is necessary. The problem is that it all looks edible but most pieces have a bit of inedible junk on them which one tends to bite down on and then get "surprised". However, almost nobody else has whole fried chicken in frozen form, so you take what you can get... it'll do.
Tyson chicken strips typically retail at around $15 for 25 ounces!!! Where do you shop? I'm on the West Coast. Checked the pricing at two large chains. One is running at standard pricing of $7.49; another is running a special at $5.99 (Normally $7.99 there)
I love the banquet fried chicken have been eating it for years only nowadays you have to buy it and if you want more that month you better buy it at the same time because they're always running out

As someone who enjoys Popeyes every so often.. I got to say.. I actually do not think it would be very good Frozen. Personally I feel as though Popeyes needs to be eaten fresh. Even leftovers are not all that great. That's just my opinion though
I like tyson chicken strips and southwestern tenders but my only problems with it when open them up the chicken strips/tenders arent always intact and a lot of crumbs and popcorn sized chicken in bag
The Banquet fried chicken has become somewhat hit-or-miss, but if you're hungry and don't want to create a kitchen mess or may $15 for delivery/tip/fees, this is the way to go. Try dumping gravy over them, omg, good!
have not watched this yet, just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. My son and I like the Top Chick in the 2 pound bag, $ 6.98 at Walmart. They come out really good
My uncle told me about the Trader Joe's orange chicken years ago. He raved about it! Tell you.. it must be some amazing chicken because his wife at the time and the teenagers who lived in the house absolutely loved them! That might not mean much if the average person heard that.. but let me tell you something it's huge as not only are the teenagers picky.. his wife was extremely picky as well. Not really sure why I never got around to trying it yet.. but the fact everyone in that house enjoyed it.. coupled with the fact that it is on this list.. definitely going to try it next time I have the opportunity. Unfortunately for me Trader Joe's is not exactly close to me.. means I don't have many opportunities to try it. Must be too far away for doordash as well.. I've never seen it on there as an option. Maybe Trader Joe's is not on doordash at all? Can someone answer that question.. curious about what I said above.
I checked the list twice and was amazed that Perdue's was not there. They originated the no-antibiotics, no-steroid chicken variety. They moved into frozen chicken and it's also great. Tyson's offers a battered chicken piece like beer batter that's great; in fact, my local Chinese restaurant uses them for sweet 'n sour chicken, unknown to its customers...
The banquet chicken is the best frozen chicken. Real fresh made fried chicken is of course (hopefully) better but it's the only option if you want to get say, a chicken leg or breast portion and it really is that piece, still with the bone. All the rest of the frozen breaded chicken is like.. they stripped the meat off the bones and formed it using I guess that meat glue stuff.
The Banquet fried chicken has gone extremely down hill in quality I have actually stopped purchasing it. The last time I got them the chicken itself was terrible and very grisly to the point it seemed like processed meat designed to be chicken. The sad part is I used to very much enjoy it.
banquet had 4 or 5 different flavor versions of their chicken including a skinless variety that was actually decent. now all they have is the one version and the quality of the chicken is mediocre at best. it's some of the boniest, bloodiest chicken around.

Just Bare brand is not a product of Costco. They sell the brand like other retailers like Hy-vee, Kroger, etc.

I have always like the banquet chicken! It started out as the only chicken my now 16 yo will eat. It's been awhile though since we've had it.

I no longer buy Banquet. I was getting the same pieces ( not assorted) and pieces I didn't recognize. Was it chicken??? No More!!!!
