Hey everyone! I hope you liked the video. If you did, I'd love to think I earned your subscription. It really helps me to get more of these great games to show off! Excellent review, Wayne! Thanks very much. Blind Swords is a terrific system, and really fun to play. The chit pull system really sets this series apart from other games, and makes every playthrough a unique and fun experience. Good to know about the Exclusive Rules being a bit lengthy -- certainly not a show stopper.
I agree the maps have always been gorgeous IMO, from Rick Barber to now Edmund Hudson. They are also very functional, and really show off the unique terrain of each ACW battlefield.
Like mentioned already, Stonewalls Sword (or Thunder in the Ozarks) could be good choices. Since they are the very first games, there are some differences in the series rules. If I had to pick any Blind Swords title for a first game I'd go with Longstreet Attacks. It's newer, it only has one rulebook to learn (whatever game specific rules there are are folded into the series rules), and there are both smaller scenarios to start with and then full size scenarios when you are ready for the whole thing.

Glad you enjoyed it! Blind Swords is one of my top series of all time. Future video idea there 😁
Nice job, Wayne! Thanks for the kind comments. Steve did a great job with this comprehensive and unique entry into the series.
Unique is a great word for this game, Steve crammed a lot of flavor and theme into this Blind Swords entry.
Thanks for the video. I own all 10 volumes and I like the system. The maps are amazing.

Wayne,
Another excellent and balanced review.
Thank you kindly Tom
Hey Wayne, Great review as always, as a newbie to the "Blind Swords Series" which one in the series do you recommend to get acclimated?
I would go for the very first one - Stonewall's Sword.
