It doesn't matter that much. It really just depends on how you want your video to look. I wanted mine to look nature-y so I shot more scenes outside. But if your mic captures a lot of noise, I would recommend shooting more indoor footage. Just make sure to get some good lighting while you're inside.

I used my camera's built-in mic in this video. You can use your earphones as a mic and then record using your phone.
