  • The final video from this year’s Lilliputters Guild Summer Tour takes us back to our first tower - and some of the best bells of the week! St Brides Major are a complete Taylor six, cast in 1939 during the foundry’s ‘golden period’. They really are every bit as good as they look on paper; they sound super, handle well, and feel well looked after. The church dates from the twelfth century, and contains a number of medieval tombs and monuments. Despite a heavy restoration in 1851, it retains a lot of its oldy-worldy charm.
For Tour this year, we rang and christened a new Doubles variation, Union Bob, with Jingle Knockers Singles (yes, really - despite Alford's headshake!), which we named Clungey Cloonj. Don’t ask! The performance was of course recorded on Bell Board for posterity:

The video concludes with some of the lower, filmed from outside, where the bells are clear but also fairly quiet. Please excuse Photobomber Smashley!

Nice sounding bells, but Jingle Knockers is an interesting variation name
