I'm sorry. But no other basketball plot beats SLAMDUNK. This is the best. This is just my opinion. I repeated this story more than a hundred times and It still made me smile, laugh, cry and everything! 😍
I watched Kuroko no Basuke and loved it. I saw everyone talking about how Slam Dunk was better, and because I was interested in one of the characters (Rukawa Kaede, black haired quiet guy), I started watching it. It pulled me in right away with its characterisation, strong bonds of friendship (I was touched by Sakuragi Hanamichi(main character, for those who don’t know) and his relationship with his 4 delinquent pals who support him, tease him, fight assholes for him, are always by his side even though he became a basketball player. The pacing and high tension in the games are different from Kuroko no Basuke’s style- I learnt a LOT about real basketball rules and positions, techniques and formations. The matches made me feel motivated about life ;-; I ended up not caring much for Rukawa and fell for Mitsui Hisashi (cool shooter guy). slam dunk is a great anime that deserves all the hype, and the animation was great as well. Lots of respect.

The ending of slam dunk is very perfect, it is really a masterpiece. Shohoku defeat number one champ that unbeatable for a years, the most targeted group in every nation, but they didnt become a winner couse exhausted and hanamichi injuries, yet shohoku describe as the real champ in the tournament. Perfect very perfect, silent champion.👍

I used to watch it on animax channel as a kid from India. It's one of very few animes I ever watched. I liked the story, the comedy, the plot and most importantly the art style of the anime which kept you glued to the TV.
