I like how they made him lore accurate, cause the lore says he takes gigs that are under one condition where killing civilians and back up is permitted and no consequences about it, he killed his own back up in this video with rockets, it must suck working under smasher
Dude I love that part of his design. Such a small detail but it really helps the combat POP. Feels more like Smasher is really there. Sadistic and brutal.
NPCs are designed to be absurdly tanky while dealing relatively low damage. Meanwhile the player deals absurd amounts of damage but has low HP. Compare the amount of damage you normally deal against V's actual HP. To let the player feel powerful, they deal big numbers in damage. For the game to not feel like a pushover, NPCs need to be capable of withstanding the player's attacks at least a little. Moreso for MAXTAC operatives who are supposed to be the game's Fun Police. But for the player to not die in a single hit, NPCs need to deal less damage. Some might appreciate the challenge of realism, but that would turn off 99% of the playerbase.
My guess looking at the maxtac team composition the mantis acts as a "dodge tank" They are up in the front mitigating damage to the team, however to do so they have to survive for as long as possible ergo maximum survival points. The rest of the team fills the following roles. NEtrunner: debuff, crowd controll, and support. HMG: heavy dps, fire support Assault: Team leader, smoke and flashbang support, covers NETrunner SNIPER: Auxillery DPS, taking targets of opportunity for high damage. IN this instance the reason MAX-TAC took as many losses as they did and the reason the mantis blade survived was that Smasher has a lot of room wide targeting AOE blasts with his missiles. Simply put he can smack the hell out of the rest of the team anyway even while focusing the mantis.
Real guess? Normally video game enemies have absurdly high health, but don’t do that much damage. This is because the player character can normally do ABSURD amounts of damage, but generally doesn’t have that much health. Think about the numbers V can put out compared to how much health you have.
Max Tech are pretty durable but even on it and that’s a lot of damage that whole fight it seem like Max techs damage was NERFED because they usually one shot normal enemies and take chunks of vs health each hit
@@r33lsniper18 I think they meant mantis blade mactac gets one shot by V. Though actually in lore it makes more sense that the actual fight between V and smasher would be over extremely quick. V is essentially a full borg, each with the perfect specific parts for the job, with advanced nanites to heal any damage, if “killed” Johnny temporarily takes over, they both have anti Borg guns (the malorian Johnny uses alone is a low tier Borg gun) but honestly even a mono blade on a faster user with basic strong arms would beat a Borg. (I say that because monoblades, like the katanas and knives in 2077 are all like the mono wire, just not as long distance, they are one atom thin and can cut through anything with enough force, in the trailers we see V casually Cleve through a heavy machine gun, it’s implied mantis blades are monoblades too with how casually V cut through two cyberarms in the 2019 e3 trailer.
She has god mod on. BEcause we know she has a health bar and it goes down pretty quick with Katana attacks (I can kill her at the drop) yet I certainly cant get Adams health bar down much in the same time.
david destroyed entire AV carriers of maxtac soldiers and arasaka could personally pull them out with their protocol A.S. thus, maxtac is fodder against him according to lore.
Canonically the Maxtac are weaker than Smasher and he’s considered the strongest in Night City but in game the Maxtac are far stronger and dangerous than Smasher
@@zael7292David’s Cyberskeleton is great against large swarms of enemy, but not single strong ones. 1v1 Smasher would destroy a MaxTac agent, but several squads of them would be too much to handle.
So unrelated, I have only ever done this ending once to get the achievement. This is the first time I'm realizing the boss fight music for this fight is a varient of the same theme that plays when you're talking with Takamura before you break into the Arasaka warehouse.
What I like you didn’t remove the other npc Yes while max tac is fighting Adam, I do like seeing the lower level enemies try to slow down the other max tax members. The main battle below while the side battles above are a delight
Sadly the missiles miss, however in lore, David without the cyber skeleton (just the linear frame) is able to beat them, with the cyberskeleton he literally blitzed and one shot them, and if smasher wanted he could’ve blitzed and did the same to David. So in lore, smasher could likely flick them and they’d lose.
But I do think Max tech would destroy smasher there’s four of them and they do incredible damage. Plus they got really good defense attributes technically I always had a tough time fighting Max tech then smasher haven’t tried filing smasher on the new update
@@_aransingh No no, I mean - why his move pattern is so wierd. Sometimes he seems to move randomly into weird spots (many enemies in Cyberpunk have this, but Oda and Smasher are the most notorious).

Can't have shit in arasaka lol
only thing that isnt lore accurate is that adam smasher would destroy armies of max tech

@williammoutchia9292 i bet smasher could prob take on maybe a group of 15 in lore.

Typical Smasher fashion
