TRIVIA TIME As usual, these are from DB Wiki 1) The connections between Johnny Cage and Captain Falcon are that they both have an iconic punch (the Nut Punch and Falcon Punch, respectively), are both celebrities in some form (Johnny Cage is an actor and Captain Falcon is a racer), and are iconic fighters from a fighting game (Mortal Kombat and Super Smash Bros. respectively). This clock is obscured by a white bar in the episode's official release. 7) In Johnny Cage's preview, Wiz was hurt by Boomstick hitting him in the groin, but in the actual episode, the exact opposite happens. 8) In Captain Falcon's preview, the Captain Falcon helmet's logo that Boomstick puts on and in the concluding analysis consists of a beer can with wings instead of a falcon. TRACK The track for the fight is "Falcon Uncaged" by Brandon Yates featuring RichaadEB. It is a fast-paced techno-rock track meant to emulate the futuristic high-speed music of the F-Zero video games. The track's title is a combination of the names of both combatants (Captain Falcon and Johnny Cage). The cover image is a burning falcon right behind a clapperboard. The burning falcon is in the shape of Captain Falcon's symbol while also alluding to the Falcon Punch, while the clapperboard is a reference to Cage's acting career. On the clapperboard, it says "Scene 07 Take 11". The 07 likely refers to the number on Falcon's F-Zero machine, the Blue Falcon, while the 11 likely refers to the latest Mortal Kombat game at the time of the video's release, which was Mortal Kombat 11. MY THOUGHTS (Spoilers for the outcome) Overall a very good fight, the analysis portions are a perfect blend to telling the character's stories while at the same time presenting feats. The fight is excellent, and the best way to describe it would be "Fun". It is a fun fight that is brimming with character and personality with excellent portrayals of the combatants (Johnny especially) The fight starts for completely authentic reasons, and kinda sad that they got into a life or death fight over Captain Falcon misinterpreting what Johnny was saying (yet at the same time not since Mortal Kombat characters are prone to fighting over nonsensical reasons) and really gets going after the fight is taken to the F-Zero track with an AMAZING death which actually used Captain's home game F-Zero rather than JUST his portrayal from Smash Brothers which is awesome.
This is BAR NONE, my favorite death battle. It had my choice for winner, the opponent was great, the comedy was freaking hysterical, and everything I wanted to happen happened. Go back and listen to some of the analytical lines. They are SO good. Also love how Boomstick was crying tears of joy from how the fight ended. I wouldn’t want to live in a world where Captain Falcon isn’t punched in the nuts like that. And although hitting him with a car sounds like cheating, the result would’ve been the same without it. It just wrapped up the fight. Besides, Johnny said all’s fair in show business. Also they call it F-Zero because Captain Falcon gives Zero fucks. Captain Falcon is basically if Batman and Speed Racer had a kid. I love the animation of him driving up to Zota, casually throw him a fucking giant bomb, and LEAVING. This one is just freaking outstanding. Also Captain Falcon is one of my best characters in smash.
Honestly the final Falcon Punch was the most satisfying final blow I have ever seen in this series, even with modern fights like Saitama VS. Popeye and Sliver VS. Trunks. It’s probably just because the Falcon Punch is the most satisfying move to land in Smash, and the coolest.
I love this battle! The analysis was fun to watch for both characters, the animation for the fight was amazing, & the voice acting was good! The only nitpick I had was Johnny’s “so cool” line would’ve been better placed near the end where he loses, showing his respect for Captain Falcon! Overall; 10/10!
You know the most ridiculous and powerful character in F-Zero isn’t Falcon in my opinion. It’s Silver Neelsen. Why? The guy is absolutely determined to win a Grand Prix before he dies. He has the record for most Grand Prix runs in history. Oh and he’s 99 years old! Running one of those machines, even without the reactor might bit, is extremely stressful. We’re talking regular, continuous, and multiple breakings of the sound barrier, as well as needing incredible precision and timing, all while these machines are around the weight of a regular car or more. Almost all the human drivers are ripped. Neelsen likely is no exception. Oh, and the game series, and show, are called F-Zero
I went with Captain Falcon for this one. I've been on the receiving end of his Falcon Punch way too many times in Smash Bros to know that it would be the deciding factor in this fight.
This was an amazing reaction Duck, so cool. I also wanted to say there is other songs that Hazbin Hotel's singing actors produced. Hazbin Hotel Insane and Heaven 2 Hell. You're really enjoy those. :)
Yeah, I got thos right. Once they said Falcon coul summon his car from anywhere I knew he was going to win. Also I can not wait for the next 4 death battles. These next 4 are honestly some of my favorites. At least in the top 10 as of now.
Man, I had the best comment ever on the soundtrack's video before they disabled the comments. I wrote it as a sports announcer commenting on how these guys interrupted the race, and every other comment expanded on it for other fights. What a great chain, only for it to disappear.
Fun fact: Smash Bros!Captain Falcon and F-Zero!Captain Falcon are almost completely different characters. -Their personalities are polar opposites. Smash Falcon is boisterious and hammy, while F-Zero Falcon is terse and stoic. -Since the games are purely a racing series, Falcon has never displayed any of the techniques displayed in Smash. Likewise, Smash Falcon did not have anything related to F-Zero incorporated in his moveset until Brawl added Final Smashes, and that was 3 games in. --It goes even further: When developing Smash Bros 64, Sakurai originally intended it to use purely original characters with unique movesets, till he and Satoru Iwata decided to make it a Nintendo crossover fighter. Captain Falcon was actually a last-minute addition, using a dummied out moveset from the prototype game. Since Smash absolutely eclipsed F-Zero in terms of popularity, the writers for _F-Zero: GP Legend_ (the anime) decided to retcon in Smash Falcon's moveset, resulting in the iconic Falcon Punch scene you saw. Another thing to note: Smash Falcon shares his voice actor with Vegeta.
A little correction, smash originally had original characters, but Sakurai decided that a console fighting game needed a more recognizable roster, so he worked alongside Satoru Iwata (iirc he was HAL president at the time) to make a demo with nintendo characters to sell the idea to nintendo, and eventually it got approved
Since you're watching the Kuro video, I'd also recommend watching the Death Battle Q&A for that episode and Ben Tennyson VS Hal Jordan - A Redundant Analysis On deviant art
The next two in the playlist (Lobo vs Ghost Rider and Kiryu vs Dragonzord) are some of my favorites, definitely up there with Sephiroth vs Vergil and the more recent Dio vs Alucard for me.
If you really are going to watch that guy's debunk video, you should watch the Death Battle Cast that features Liam explaining in great detail why a lot of those arguments don't hold water. Also, I made that Captain Falcon sprite of him getting hit with that move.
mortal Kombat is arguably the biggest load of bs to try and scale, let alone calculate. seriously, the scaling can go anywhere from basic human to universal, or even multiversal potentially. but yeah, it is a pretty fair result.
Fun fact about Johnny Cage, he was originally supposed to be Jean-Claude Van Damme! The game started out meant to star the actual actor, but when he backed out of it due to talks with another company they turned his character into Johnny as a joke. That's why he does the splits punch, it's a reference to one of JCVD's movies
@@theduckgoesmoo ...You know, I should've expected the question, and yet... Jean-Claude Van Damme is an action movie star/champion martial artist nicknamed the "Muscles From Brussels." He was a big name in the 90's. He's best known for the Kickboxer movie franchise, his ability to do the splits, a long string of "zen" quotes he's been mocked for (cracking walnuts with his buttocks, Christianity being wrong because snakes are nice, etc.), and unhinged behavior eventually diagnosed as bipolar disorder. He's apparently also friends with Chuck Norris.
My biggest problem with this episode is that they didn't have Cage didn't die to a Falcon punch to the dick. And that's nitpicking. That should tell you that I love this episode.
I've never personally been a fan of the "only works on elder gods" less so for its implementation and more so for its existence. The green goo energy is a Johnny cage staple so it seems really weird to make it really randomly special out of nowhere. MKX had a fun competitive presence but man is the story super duper trash.
I’m surprised you voted for Johnny over Captain Falcon. I thought you would have been gushing over Falcon non-stop because of his speed. Seriously, look up gameplay footage of F-Zero games. I recommend not watching the Ben 10 Vs Green Lanturn Debunk becuse of his lack of knowlege of Vs debating and saying really outrageous things like composite Ben 10 Vs Composit Green Lanturn and not including his time as the Spector? And Vs is inherently extremely subjective and the concept of debunks, in general, are really silly in my opinion due to this however I would recommend this video from Nemesis Bloodryche: how instead of doing debunks but does reviews of the episodes without Vs debating getting in the way of the quality of the episode and is a lot of fun to watch I would highly recommend and even doing a video in relation to Death Battles research going over this very topic and you should watch it to have a better understanding of the Vs side of the show LINK: ruclips.net/video/WsuKYyDxp5E/видео.html (DON"T WATCH UNTILL THE ENDO OF THE NEW SEASON 8!)
Alright let's GOOOOOO! 00:30 Eh, his material is... kind of problematic in that a lot of it is just flat out incorrect. Far be it from me to say that my authority is the be all end all of multiverse crossover analysis (in fact I still maintain that these sorts of things are flawed inherently despite really enjoying Death Battle), but that guy's debunking video was itself debunked so I don't think it's a terribly reliable reference. 1:42 Bounty hunters aren't inherently amoral or villainous. The profession is all about catching criminals. Captain Falcon is definitely a heroic figure. 3:36 no kidding. We truly live in the worst timeline. 6:38 literally *everything* about his character screams "was created by men." He's an absolute typical male power fantasy, textbook even. 18:03 Well they did say it in the analysis, stating that it's a special power used against gods. I'm so glad that you're super excited for Aang vs Ed Elric! Full Metal Alchemist is my all time favorite anime/manga, and Avatar TLA is my all time favorite show ever, period. With that in mind this battle had a loooooooot of expection and hype to live up to for me, and it... Ultimately didn't fulfill it. But of course I blame myself mostly, since I had very unreasonable expectations. It's a pretty solid one that I'm sure you'll enjoy a lot. :) I absolutely agree with the outcome of this battle, and in fact it's one of the times when I feel like they incorrectly say "it's a very close/even match" when it... really isn't. Not even remotely. Sure in terms of speed they're pretty even but that's the only metric they're close to. Falcon blows Johnny out of the water in sheer power output and durability, and that isn't even taking into account the Blue Falcon (which yes counts as part of his standard arsenal as they specified that he has the ability to summon it to his side at any time, a detail you missed) or the fact that the Reactor Mite gives him/his car the power of *one sixth of the Big Bang*. When one character's biggest feat is "smashed big diamond" and the other is "one sixth the force of all creation" there really isn't any room for debate. Fun fact, Captain Falcon was my second main for Smash Bros (after Link) from the original Smash game in the 90s all the way up until Smash Ultimate gave us Terry Bogard (who became my main, with Link becoming my secondary main). As for the actual battle itself, I love it. I feel like the sprites themselves could have been cleaner, more crisp, but apart from that I have no real complaints. They made superb use of each character's styles and special moves (I loved Johnny Cage's nut buster hard countering the first attempt at the falcon punch), made a believable (if parody-esque) scenario for the two to fight, and they utilized the setting in a fantastic and epic manner, incorporating the F-Zero track and its speed boosts into the hand to hand combat. I freaking love this one. It's not top 5, maybe not even top 10, but it is very close.
"I didn't know that!" Yes. Because you talked over them SPECIFICALLY saying it during Johnny's rundown. ............*sigh*................Again...........
@@theduckgoesmoo In my opinion My hero Is just a worst vertion of Naruto down to the Arcs and how they play out though still a good show 7/10 (also quirks are boring as a power system)

seriously it was some stupid reactor that blew up and they just made it look like that in the scene....damn it Iv watched that RUclips clip so many times who knew the writers were trolls
even thouh i was rooting for falcon, he pretty much had an unfair advantage. Yes, johnny would be more complex without falcon's trusty bugatti, but remember that Captain Falcon still has more feats than johnny even without bro's Honda
johnny doesnt have a car, captain falcon has a car, he cheated, simple. johnny still wins. this doesn't involve vehicles, or he'd have a bike, and over a dozen cars. he's a billionaire.
I doubt any Lambo or Maserati that Johnny could use would be able to stand up against the futuristic race car that can A. Be summoned to Falcon's side whenever he wants. B. Moves faster than any vehicle Johnny could get his hands on and C. Is powered by a shard containing the power of 1/6th of the Big Bang.
Honestly ink tanks versus vid is trash ( no joking I can literally debunk his debunk in a few comments and did ) Don't get me wrong I love his analysis vids on the OG series but everything else he's really unreliable

TRACK
The track for the fight is "Falcon Uncaged" by Brandon Yates featuring RichaadEB. It is a fast-paced techno-rock track meant to emulate the futuristic high-speed music of the F-Zero video games.

I absolutely agree with the outcome of this battle, and in fact it's one of the times when I feel like they incorrectly say "it's a very close/even match" when it... really isn't.
My Hero is sooooo good though I guess they couldn't really fulfill the hype everyone made for aang vs ed
The name of this banger track is "Falcon Uncaged"
I wanna see Kitana vs Harley Quinn.
Did you do a reaction series to fmab cus I can't find it
Man you have some good insane ones coming up Lobo vs Ghost rider and Deadpool vs Mask those are unkillable characters so it makes the fight epic
"I didn't know that!"
Yes. Because you talked over them SPECIFICALLY saying it during Johnny's rundown.
............*sigh*................Again...........
Oh my god, he knows the characters in the next fight. I'm pretty sure that's a sign of the end times
theduckgoesmoo: My hero just passed Full Metal
Me: Cringe infinity
It's so good though although FMAB is a way better story
@@theduckgoesmoo In my opinion My hero Is just a worst vertion of Naruto down to the Arcs and how they play out though still a good show 7/10 (also quirks are boring as a power system)
imagine if Johnny Became the Next Falcon "Faaaaalcon NUT PUNCH"
Every guy would hate that
Deadpool vs the mask YASSS
Is the next one the first battle where you know both characters very well?
Uhhhh it might be
Captain Falcon. Stars in F Zero. A series so awesome but not continued that all hes known for nowadays is being the speed brawler in Smash Bros.
Oh, did you finally get the Ruger 57?
I did!
@@theduckgoesmoo Super! Let me know how you enjoy it, I have never shot one personally but hear it is a lot of fun.
okay how is this fair I dont know a Ton about Cage but I know that Falcon once punched a guy so hard the impact was a shining light and shockwave that could be seen from another Galaxy
seriously it was some stupid reactor that blew up and they just made it look like that in the scene....damn it Iv watched that RUclips clip so many times who knew the writers were trolls
If you were to choose a successor for the mantle of Duckman what abilities would that person need to have & more?
They would have to moo and be able to tell when a shirt is purple or not
@@theduckgoesmoo Moo... I also made a clip of a shirt that is purple
More like a rocket car driver
Fun fact: Johnny Cage is heavily based on Jean-Claude Van Damme, nut punch and all.
Yeah no clue who that is
@@theduckgoesmoo Watch Bloodsport. Mortal Kombat 1 is based off of it and it stars Van Damme
RWBY volume 9 got pushed to 2022, yeah though up until now its always been Late Oct-Early Nov
even thouh i was rooting for falcon, he pretty much had an unfair advantage. Yes, johnny would be more complex without falcon's trusty bugatti, but remember that Captain Falcon still has more feats than johnny even without bro's Honda
Johnny Cage is based off of Jean-Claude Van Damme
scaling of power is difficult, but Captain Falcon holds a serious advantage well past Cage's abilities. johnny didn't really stand a chance
My boi Johnny Cage lost 😭😭😭 i remembered when the fight started 😔 goddammit it's been awhile since i seen it oh well
I didn't have much investment in this fight but I had a feeling Falcon would win.
Mortal Kombat is weird. Sure, there are gods and all, but in the same universe, regular guns can hurt them.
My vote was for johne at the fist time but love this match
johnny doesnt have a car, captain falcon has a car, he cheated, simple. johnny still wins. this doesn't involve vehicles, or he'd have a bike, and over a dozen cars. he's a billionaire.
They said Falcon can summon his car anytime he wants, so they gave him his car, I don't make the rules here, they did.
Can you please react to nostalgia critic Fant4stic review?
Honestly ink tanks versus vid is trash ( no joking I can literally debunk his debunk in a few comments and did )
Don't get me wrong I love his analysis vids on the OG series but everything else he's really unreliable
Madara vs Aizen will be the most interesting DB since Goku vs Superman. Alucard vs Dio was interesting as well

Nothing to say, relax as it is... well by the time you reply, sunday, but its saturday is this is being written
I'm not really sure the Falcon anime is canon, and they clearly used Falcon's feats from the anime
They use info from multiple sources and versions of the characters
Is canon, afaik, F-Zero GP Legend on the GBA is considered a reboot that was made alongside the anime, and it got a japan-only sequel
@@connorwood9211 they clearly banned comic book sonic since it wasn't canon
@@gamemastertom well okay didn't know that
@@nikolab.4065 Part of the reason they did that is Archie Sonic has feats that go way beyond anything that game Sonic ever displays and is functionally a different character. When they do the Archie Sonic battle later, its pretty obvious why that is given how ridiculous it gets.
