Because it threatens the rule of autocrats? Because thats what is behind it. The origin of the foreign agents law is Russia which also locks people up for disagreeing with the government and is shutting down RUclips which is not a foreign agent. It’s not directed at any country. It’s an avenue for anyone to gather and present information. Russia wants its people to get their information from state run TV.

A zašto se to brani drugima???Razne nevladine i humanitarne organizacije su ustvari leglo stranih tajnih službi!!!Te organizacije treba držati pod strogom kontrolom ili im zabraniti rad jer rade protiv države u kojoj privremeno borave!!!

You are both full of crap . I'm a retired Aussie Journalist and even our one-eyed media is not as Russophobic as the two of you.
The "Russian Foreign Agents Law" is only a copy of the same law in the USA.

The Foreign Agents Registration Act is not a Russian or Georgian idea, it is a law passed by the US congress in 1938. Both the Russian law and the Georgian law are based on FARA. This ... person speaking from Washington DC is not a neutral observer but a paid employee of the US gov't. The reason we don't have healthcare in the US is that the money all goes to projects like this woman lying for a price.

Of course that the appeasement explanation is ridiculous as she says, since it makes no sense that'd be all there is to it. The EU has much deeper interests (economic, security, among other things) in cooperating with Serbia instead of going against it, and that is why it is cooperating with Serbia and not going against it. And it is why it should keep cooperating with Serbia and not go against it, instead of listening to random people that don't even bother to be careful with what accusations they make as they speak in public.

Serbia is landlocked and surrounded by the EU, while Georgia has a port and is surrounded by...Asia.
