Damnit, I was hanging off and resisting the urge to pick up a shot mirror. Then I saw your workflow. Damnit, now I have to get one. LOL. Good vid man, beautiful machine.
Just got the same machine. Learning how to use it. May I know what’s that round piece of thing you put on the tampered powder? I don’t see it when I unboxed. Thanks.
Amazing loved your content mate…been using lelit bianca for about 4 months and im opening a small mini-like cafe locally and im trying to use this machine for the cafe…would you recommend it or is this machine not compatible for a mini-cafe should i look for another machine if so can you recommend me one
Hi there, thank you for your kind words and support. The Bianca is definitely more of a home machine but if it is working for you and your business I would say keep going. I wouldn't consider upgrading until you think you are missing out on something that you can get from a more commercial machine. Hope this helps :)
Dude you have a rinsing thingy!! 😍 Going to go out on a limb here and say your grind was too course. That was a watery pull and blonding far too soon. Extremely envious of that steam pressure. You have an amazing setup there bro!
Is Jug rinser plumbed into a main waterline or are you using a water tank with a pump under the counter? Looking at doing something like what you have done.
It's a water tank under the counter so it is fully isolated from the mains. I did it this way as my station isn't directly near a water source and also allows it to be easily moved. For a home setup it is pretty overkill and probably more work than its worth with the filling and emptying but its really cool :)
@@itsjasondavies I'd love to see a video on that setup. Sure it might be overkill but isn't buying $5,000 - $6,000 worth of coffee gear for a couple coffee's a day overkill as well? We do it because we enjoy it, and for that, its hard to put a price tag on it.
Near 10 bars of pressure at the group head is a big no. Ideally the pump pressure should be set at 9 bars and the pressure at the group head must be around 8 - 8.5 bars. There must be a screw under the machine for adjusting pump pressure, therefore changing the pressure at the group head as well.
It’s slightly bigger so it means you can get the tip of the milk jug closer to the coffee. As well as this steaming in the smaller jug is easier and less wasteful when I only need a small amount of milk for a single flat white.
Buying v3 solves this issue . If you start it as dual boiler you will have it ready in less than 15 mins and if you do not turn the steam boiler on it will be ready in under 10.
How much different is the taste between this and a DF64V grinder + Breville Barista touch if you dont want to experiment too much and just want consistent same espresso / cappuccino? Worth the $3000 for the Lelit?
@@cubesandpi for me it looks like the pump pressure is below 10 bar but at the group it is at 10. bit strange isn't it? How can one fix that? Any ideas?
How fine a grind is the coffee? I got the same machine but mine pours out much faster. Same weight and settings as yours. My only guess is I gotta grind finer. But my Malkonig grinder is already near the finest grind setting.
Sounds like you need to grind finer friend. Not every grinder is espresso capable but if yours is designed to be it could be worth looking at adjusting your burrs as they could be badly calibrated.
Thanks for the video. Frankly the product doesn't seem my kind of espresso, the "honey-coloured" crema is typically obtained at the end of the extraction, or it's a sign of an overall problem. I would grind finer, compress more, insert the portafiltro inside the group head with some force, and aim for a brown crema and an overall thick brew. That said, I have no idea what kind of roasting was employed for your coffee and it might well be that the coffee is delicious, only it doesn't appear very normal to me. Also, an espresso is usually more "oily" and it will coat the side of your cup when you whirl it, this cup seems too "watery" to me. That said, each one his own, coffee is not science is personal taste. As a side note, I think there is some American cultural influence here. I have the impressions that Americans are always "skewed" toward an American coffee (more "watery") than Italians, both when they make an espresso or when they use a Moka.
Watching this as I’m drinking my instant coffee
😂
Do you have a link to the niche zero portafilter holder? I figured i can find it on etsy but i don't.
It's beautiful!

Thank you!
Amazing setup
Thanks :)
Wow amazing Coffee bar
Thank you so much 😊
That's a beautiful setup
Thanks so much!
Beautiful setup! Congratulations!
Thank you for watching!
Nice....always wanted to have Niche
woow lelit.. great setup
Thank you!
Lovely set up sir!
Thank you!
awesome video . I love your set up too
I'm glad you like it
So much tapping. Even before you steam the milk?
Yeah not sure why I did that it’s just a habit now 😂
One little advice. Don't lock the steaming valve each time you use it. It is better for longevity to stop turning when steam stops coming out
Hi! Can you further explain? I never learned this before 😅 I don’t quite understand what you mean by locking
@@adri9795
Hi,
I meant not to turn the valveball the way until it can't be turned any more.
The steam stops coming out before the full full turn
I will own this machine in a week but I read this comment and will implement this in the future thanjs
Did you just make that up ?
Nope
the steam and water tap are spring-operated, so don't close it that far, then they won't wear out so quickly
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

Where can i buy that porta filter base for niche ?
Nice
lol this is exactly my deam setup
thanks for watching :)
Quality content ❤
Thank you ❤
Have you changed the Lelit shower screen?
Welcome 🤗
Thanks!
What was the make of the water thingy that cleaned the milk steamer container? Did you have to tie that into the plumbing? Thank you!!!

I did have a rinsey thing haha, though it has since been moved on due to it being so much work to keep clean! Twas slightly overkill for a home setup.
Is Jug rinser plumbed into a main waterline or are you using a water tank with a pump under the counter? Looking at doing something like what you have done.
Wondering the same thing, very impressive

very nice enjoyable video. why did you close the paddle at the beginning of the extraction? to manually low flow?
I closed it to start a low flow pre-infusion before ramping up to full pressure!
What is your experience with the niche? Would you recommend it?
Had mine for a few years now and never really had any issues, always decent results!
Awesome setup! I am picking up my Bianca V3 this weekend :) it almost looked like you poured bleach in the pitcher there for a minute 😅
Amazing setup and indeed a smooth process. What is the scale, please?
Thanks it’s the acaia lunar 😊
Did you change the filter basket from your lelit portafilter?
Yes I use a pullman basket.

What's the reason for transferring the milk to a second pitcher
It’s slightly bigger so it means you can get the tip of the milk jug closer to the coffee. As well as this steaming in the smaller jug is easier and less wasteful when I only need a small amount of milk for a single flat white.
@@itsjasondavies I see. Interesting, thanks for replying!

Very nice! I’ve got a MaraX paired with a Niche and I love what those 2 together can accomplish. Amazing setup man!
Thank you, the MaraX seems like a great machine too!!
You sprayed the coffee with some kind of spray, what is it?
Just water! It keeps the grounds from sticking to where they shouldn’t.
Nice machine but the 30 minute warmup time is too long. By the time it was ready to make coffee I'm nearly walking out the door for work.
A smart plug or timer plug can resolve this and mean its ready to go once you are up. Requires some planning / a normal routine but it does work.
True, but what about weekends or evenings if I am consuming at different times each day?@@itsjasondavies
Buying v3 solves this issue . If you start it as dual boiler you will have it ready in less than 15 mins and if you do not turn the steam boiler on it will be ready in under 10.
Alexa is the answer. Machine goes to sleep after a couple of hours and is ready again in less than 10 mins.
What's that cup you used for dosing the beans in the beginning?
Its a handmade ceramic one :)

Where did you get the niche zero's portafilter holder?
It was from Etsy :)
I finished my espresso 3 minutes ago.
hope it was nice :)
Where'd you get that little mirror to watch the shot?
I can't remember exactly, but there are plenty available from brands like normcore.
What is the disc you place in the portafilter at 1:44 called?
puck screen
this :)
Where did you get the single dosing bean storage??
It's Fellow.
whered you get that bean spoon
It's a Kinto Branded one
Hey, I can't really tell but is the pressure at the group at 9 bars? Also what is your setting for the pressure at the pump?
Looks like it’s around 10 bar at the group so closer to 11 at the pump, def a bit high but the shot looks great for 10 bar
@@cubesandpi for me it looks like the pump pressure is below 10 bar but at the group it is at 10. bit strange isn't it? How can one fix that? Any ideas?
whats the heat up time for Lelit
Sorry for the delay, about 20 - 30 mins. I use a smart plug to avoid waiting around for it.
Where can I find that porftafilter stand for the NZ grinder ?
I had this one custom made by someone on Etsy called EdekoDesign
Don't bang on the table! Get a piece of rubber or use the towel.
I noticed you were hitting around 10 bar, why is that? I thought this was supposed to be more 9. I ask because my machine goes up to about 10.5
what's that spray on the coffe beans?
It’s water to reduce static. It’s called RDT :)
What's the mirror's name and brand please?
I think that one is called a Shot Nanny.
And what is the brand of the dozing funnel? It looks beautiful
0:26 is this a vacuum jar?
Yes its the Fellow one!

A jug rinser is way overkill for a home setup. You only need it in a cafe
Agreed lol
Thank you for the video. But I have to be honest, as a newbie to espresso, this is not relaxing at all :)

Hey there I would love to give an exact number but it really depends on your specific coffee. Somewhere in the range of 5-20 tends to work well.
