Secondly to the people who don't know the story behind this song it was about a girl is the USA who was kidnapped and the verse represent her existence while with her capture before gaining his trust and finally escaping. Kurt read it in a newspaper and thought he would make it into a song, not for his own gratification or to make light of it.
