@@michaelespeland but that’s THE point. The point is that this game died because it was a free game with a playerbase who didn’t want to spend money on the game
@@toptiertech7291 Yeah and its such a sad state as well. The developers actually cared. Name one other developer team in modern FPS games that actually care about YOU and not your wallet?
The writing was on the wall. Sorry to ruin people's hope, but this game never stood a chance. It had a great start, but the fall off was much more than a competing FPS game can handle, especially being under Ubisoft banner. The reality is that COD has a death grip on the casual base, this game did everything in its power to turn casuals away, then BO6 came out, that was pretty much the nail in the coffin. Though I would say even without BO6 this game was always on the chopping block. It didn't make enough of a lasting impression with the right crowd on launch. It catered to sweats easily, but once they took over the lobbies, that was it for the casuals. 70% of gamers today are adults. These same adults are going through life and are tired, don't have the same passion as they used to to in order to dump hours/days away on a game in order to "get good". So when an FPS game comes out disregarding this and not having enough to grind for and out up with the constant loses, they will turn away. That's what happened. cod took them back. That's it 🤷♂️ Let this be a lesson to other games that want to throw their bag in the ring.
You're completely right and I'm one of them I wait all bloody day after work kids dinner time , bath, bed then finally get to play a game about 9pm I really don't want to get stomped on by a stay at home cracked out rich kid or 24/7 streamer.
And that's the reason cod will hold on to sbmm. Even if the top players are constantly crying. Most casual players wouldn't play without sbmm. Because getting stumped into the ground isn't exactly fun
damn, i absolutely knew the game was released much earlier than intended, it had so much pointing to that without any devs having to tell us. Things could literally have been so different by this time next year.
I feel like the biggest mistake that lead the hype to die down, was when Aches say that “we’re planning to release in late summer of 2025” I’m not saying its entirely his fault, because Mark did say they ran into problems with in the engine and they had to do the whole thing from the ground up. But then there was the thing with “the boys club” and thats what kept delaying so idk which side of the story is true After that it just put them in a tough spot after summer ended to where people kept asking “Where’s Xdefiant? We need it now!” And then when it did release people saying “man, its broken and barebones they should’ve delayed it” Honestly, there was not much difference from the betas to the full release. But If Aches didn’t say about that specific release date and actually work on the problems (even its been in development for a long time) I think it would’ve turned out better.
I actually hate Ubisoft so much. This game really was fun and it actually made me feel like i was actually good at FPS unlike COD and its bs matchmaking. Now what?
👆What he said....I recommend The Finals. It's 10x better and offers a lot of fresh, new Innovative experiences in a saturated FPS market where games are starting to feel like copy/paste imitations of other games
@@2pacisAkiltheMC that's the problem people like them don't want fresh or new they want the exact same game play loop they had when they didn't have bills to pay and then question why the genre has become a stale corpse of itself.
I understand people are upset by this but if we are being completely honest. This game never gained that much traction and was never an appealing to the masses which would be required to keep a concurrent title especially for a company being bought out. Absolutely not worth keeping the asset. If anything Mark Cubin and the team should have never put all their eggs in one basket with Ubisoft. This is the result of bad marketing and a below average game.
It's sad to see, played this game for 2 months nonstop, and in fact I peaked top700 at that time, but I left because the netcode felt awful. And now I discover that they apparently fixed the problem but it's too late... I hope in the future we have something even better, because the base of the game was just really fun for me
I played the game the first 2 weeks but I dropped it after realizing the majority of the playerbase was just tryhards from COD that wanted no SBMM and since there were little to no casual players, the lobbies were not even mixed with different skill levels just absolute sweat. Not even the no sbmm thing could save them from low player count.
You're exactly the kind of player that SBMM is designed to protect that had a rude awakening when they realized they're garbage at FPSs without SBMM holding their hand. Constantly ran into sub level 50 accounts and consistently dropped 2-3KD 9 out of every 10 games.
@lalter_ You do realize that COD doesn't just have SBMM right? I do pretty well in a match even with SBMM and the very next match the game doesn't wanna register my hits and I gotta put in more work than everyone else. I and plenty of other people that have a life and a job don't want to play a game that feels like a chore rather than fun.
@@lalter_ you do realize that 90% of players are the kind of players that SBMM is designed for 😂😂 all you’re saying is that you’re in the 10% of super sweaty people every game. That’s why XDefiant is dying. That’s why games have SBMM. Some people have families and get coochie

5 minutes in and holy this just pissed me off lol. not only did they pull the plug before the biggest season, they forced the team to drop the game a year before their planned window, AND the engineers had netcode figured out. complete fumble but at the end of the day it’s ubisoft
I really enjoyed this game especially with the current cod at the moment was mw3 and this game was a breath of fresh air sad it’s shutting down I discovered you while playing a ranked match and my teammate told me you had a channel one of my favorite Xdefiant content creator
Ubisoft undoubtedly played a significant role-perhaps 50%-in the downfall of XDefiant, but the remaining responsibility lies with the developers. Simply creating a Call of Duty-style game without SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) isn’t enough to sustain players’ interest in today’s market. The game offered nothing groundbreaking-it’s just a basic point-and-shoot experience. While that formula might have felt fresh in 2010, it’s far from sufficient in 2024. To stand out in today’s competitive gaming landscape, bold, creative ideas are essential, and the developers clearly failed to deliver on that front. So yes, the blame doesn’t rest solely on Ubisoft; the developers share responsibility as well.
Game gets cancelled by publisher. Game Dev claim that they had fixed the issues and the game is totally gonna be awesome now. Sounds like a cope from the Devs.
Who cares about an increase in player count? How much? A 5% increase? 10% ? What was the player count before? How much PROFIT increase did they have? You gaming nerds always forget that this is a business. You think Fortnite is still around because the player count is good?
The game probably isn't really being shut down. They are just saying that to try and boost player count. Like when a furniture store has a "Going Out Of Business Sale."
They made a free mediocre game dependent on selling mediocre microtrasactions that didn't succeed at making enough money to support itself. Ubisoft has also shit the bed with every game they've made in the last few years causing them to not be able to float XD long enough for it to get fixed. Ultimately, 15 million tried the game and only 20k are playing it six months later ... the game is done.
I mean... the fact they closed down for any new players tells me everything I need to know! They do not want to keep it alive, or save it - under any circumstance.... I don't even get why they will keep the servers up for that long, when they don't allow players... Just fucking get it over with already then... But man.. I don't get why they didn't give S3 a chance....
It does mean the story is over. 😂 It is unfortunate because I was rooting for it. It was a free to play game and not enough people were buying the cosmetics. So even if the player count was decent they were not making money.
Launching a game before its polished to capitalize on early numbers is such a Ubisoft move. Hence, like many titles in the past few years, XDefiant was put out to die.
1: I would have been satisfied with just these 2 seasons until 2025 if I knew more were coming out. 2: anyone wasn't to bet that whoever buys out Ubisoft will re-release XDefiant at a premium price?
This needs to be said: if you know anyone that has downloaded Xdef before and deleted it, They can still reinstall. I beg anyone give this game a chance as its the genre needs.
So the Netcode was miraculously fixed but they were going to wait till Season 3 to show us this fix?? Come on dude... Just move on. You people are like children. Grow up.
It wasn't a miracle it takes time to get those fixes implemented. I didn't say they fixed it day 1 of season 2 and they were just holding it back until season 3. It was apparently a recently accomplished task and Season 3 would have been the next patch they could get out as we were only 2 weeks away. And why are we children? Because we want to try to save a game we enjoy? I think the really children here are people like you who try to belittle others when they have an opinion that doesn't flow with yours
Thx my man, appreciated. 🙌 Xdefiant has been/is fresh air for me having played fps since beford COD4. All CODs, all Battlefields ++. Increasingly frustrated by live service bs, I have promised myself and my wife come June 25, in the future to play games like Ghost of Tshusima, Red Dead (have them both already) or perhaps new Indiana Jones. Many great games out there waiting to get explored without screwing you over.
I miss that old main theme. I don't have hope for Xdefiant in the future and have spent hundreds of dollars helping support it so I'm done and will probably start playing BF1 and BF4 again.
Mark Rubin finding a studio wanting to take on the pursuit. Or . Even though the 'faction' thing are all rights belonging to Ubisoft that can honestly be scrapped to some degree to not 100% 1:1 mimic the 'image' of those said factions ... 'abilities' are copied/ripped from many games
Xdefiant deserved another chance. They need to give it time. But cancelling it abruptly was not the right choice. They also should've launched it on Steam.
Man fuck I remember testing this game in 2022 and it was so much fun. My only issue was the netcode just being atrocious but hearing that it was all fixed makes me miserable as that was my ONE problem...
XDefiant started with a shaky foot, but the devs showed their care and passion for the project. I wish that the game had more content and weapons from the start. Maps were solid but the lack of more varied weaponry made the experience go stale for me pretty fast. The fact that Ubisoft's live service games are more of a chore than a joy to play is the main reason as to why I don't play their games anymore, but this one was different. It was an alternative for COD, a throwback to old multiplayer experiences that just needed more time to shine. Ubisoft had a great thing, but their numbskulls couldn't see it nor cared to give it the attention it deserved.
They could revive it, rehire, take everything away, and reset us. I would grind it 50 times and 50 more. I love the freedom of the movement, weapon characteristics and how the attachments change it. I love the diversity of experience and I was so ready for the S3 changes to see what was fixed. I'll still be in it. I do love this gane.
Hearing that none of the netcode issues lied in the engine was nice to hear, i retract all the negative things I've said about Snowdrop, I still think the Anvil engine would have been a better choice, so that they wouldn't have had to rebuild all of the FPS mechanics from the ground up in the end it would have saved a lot of time.
@NyteFalll Yeah, hearing that the game was rushed is also pretty sad, they easily could've refined XD and made it one of their top cash cows, I was definitely willing to spend a lot of money on the game but just couldn't not knowing the future at the time, I'm devastated to see it go, played with you a couple of times you were always a good and fun challenging player to face it's a shame that we won't run into each other after June 3rd, maybe you remember me or not lol but I am Shtgn-Rttlsnk 😅 Anyway it's been a blast being a part of the XD journey, I hope Mark tries something else like this again some day, until then take care brother and thank you for being a part of the XD community, your content made playing XD so much better. ❤️
Gods please stop being in denial. No one is going to risk taking on another fps game in this horrendous market to relaunch it. It's over and time to move on. Try Rivals it's been fun
I want Mark Ruben to find some indie publisher or some other way to make his vision a reality. New blood interactive and critical reflex are 2 examples of good publishers, though I don't know if they'd be willing to do a cod type of game
They really shouldve made this game their main cash cow, it has the potential to revive their company, but i dont think Ubi believed in Xdefiant from the start.
@toptiertech7291 No one was spending money on it because Ubisoft didn't pay any attention to it and rushed it's release. Had they released the game in 2025 as originally planned the game wouldn't have had the issues it had and people would've gladly spent money on it. Say Ubisoft treated Xdefiant the same way Epic treated Fortnite, XD would've exploded with players ready to dish out cash on skins, battlepasses, and bundles. The game reached a total of 15m players, had they not rushed the game they would've been able to keep them and the majority of us would've spent money on skins and MVP animations happily.
@@HOLDTHISLFoo I bought battlepasses and would've spent more if I wasn't struggling financially. Regardless how long they played it, 15m people downloaded and tried the game, and to say that people wouldn't have stayed if the game was more refined is just asinine, I think you're just looking to start problems.
Ubisoft deserves to go under forever for this, Xdefiant was the best shooter we've gotten in ages and had potential to be a legititmate long term threat to Call of Duty.
If I've learned anything from watching multiple dev related videos, is that signing petitions like I've seen so many people mention, doesn't really work. Especially online petitions. It means so much less because anybody could technically sign it even if they don't care that much. However, writing in letters and email, making videos and online posts, that matters so much more. Will it matter in the long run? No I don't think so. I'm only saying this as people still have a chance to maybe revive this game before it's completely taken offline. This is Ubisoft however, and I don't think they're willing to take the chance anymore. They're gonna put all their eggs into one basket. And that basket is called Assassin's Creed Shadows. Will it succeed? Will it save them from their lowest point in company history? Who knows. All I know is that I love this game, and I wish I didn't have to watch it die.
None of what you named makes ANY difference. You can write all the letters and emails you want. The company was losing hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from this game. If you had a company and it was forcing you into debt, would some people writing a letter stop you from closing?
Would be nice if I could download the game again despite the fact that I played it before December 3rd. Now I need to wait for them to (maybe) help me with a code or something smh
This. Even if they " fix " the game by season three, a lot of people are going to be playing other games. Look marvel rivals. They come out blowing everything out of the water. That's how it should be done. No, here is the broken game. we are going to have it fixed by next year, maybe.
Well, to be honest, as a French I can say that I'm watcing their downfall since 2016 and I'm surprised Tencent still hasn't took control of that company yet. I mean, the Guillemot bros founded Ubi and Gameloft, they lost Gameloft to Vivendi in 2016 and since then whoa, not a single year with something concerning about them. Repetitive games, buggy games, sexual harassment scandal in 2020, strikes (our speciality) because working conditions are messed up, The Crew, Quartz. Just give it to the Chinese at this point.
I left my signature and a video. Glad it only lets you do 30 seconds because that statement was a little more emotional than I thought it was going to be until i actually said it out loud.
@NyteFalll thank you for the support and great content. I'll be off contract and back home soon, ide love to introduce you to the Dome Piece Crew clan for a CTF run if you're down. DPC welcomes everyone.
That's because your good times blind sides you for what it is 300k first week to 20 k less than 90 days later it just wasn't popular enough to keep it on life support. Hell step out of the echo chamber and read the comments either people forgot it existed or had no idea it came out.
Remember when ubisoft was at risk durring the rainbow 6: siege release and when it was a failure they never gave up on it and now its one of the most popular PvP shooters despite its issues? That ubisoft is gone now, they are a empty shell of their former selves, they deserve to go under.
Why wasn’t the game released on steam? Why wasn’t the game released on PS4/Xbox one. About 70% of all gamers are in those 2 markets. How was this game ever supposed to succeed?
the Ubiverse was never my thing, i could take it or leave it, with the exception of the division. I hope Mark and his team can flaunt what XD got right and pitch it to a different, more sustainable publisher for the future. It would be years before we would see another title, but hey, we can only hope
Ubisoft can't take any risks right now. Shutting down Xdefient is a big risk, Assassin's creed shadow is gonna be like Star Wars Outlaws. They need to stick to games they have. For Honour has less players then Xdefient, but it's still supported. Ubi didn't want to take a risk with Xdefient so they allocated less resources to it, but now that's a massive risk to shut it down. All Uni need to do is take skins from other games and sell it in Xdefient shot, less man power to create new skins, more time to fix and add content to this game. Next year Ubi is gonna get sold.
i said that more will come out in the next few weeks or months. and the guy that owns ubi was quoted that he would like to take the company away from share holders or have no issues with getting rid of share holders and if that took money from tencent then he will take that money and it i think it was reported that tencent had offered ubi money to bail them out a few months ago and tencent wanted a seat on the "top table" and more say or rather voting rights (its not hard to find out who has what shares and sway around the table etc) , and i suggest you look into this as i think tencent own something like 49% of the company but only get 10% of the voting rights. if i remember right ms during the acti buy out said that tencent are there biggest competitor and they are bad for gaming (yes i know ms came out with lots of stuff to get the deal done) but then they had to hand over online rights to ubi to get the deal done (at this point i put the tin foil hat on and said ms will just buy ubi but i didnt know at the time about the whole tencent deal and them owning i think 49% of ubi if what i read is right) so if ms are dead set against tencent then why would they agree to hand over stuff to tencent ? , none of this makes sense if the info is right and im going from memory here so it may not be. but it seems to me from what i can remember when i looked into it that ubi , tencent and ms are all lining up to piss up the gamers backs and then going to tell us its raining , there is to my mind something very dodgy (i use dodgy just as a term) coming down the tracks.

Just never thought it would come this soon
After what they did to Xdefiant..I'm not spending a single dime on a ubisoft game..
You probably spend like $5 on this game 😂
@@toptiertech7291 That was not his point...
Nevertheless for me XD brought back the feeling of cod4 and I really enjoyed it after a hard day of work (kd 1.1)
@MorganHeritao need sweat
**Ubisoft is shutting down, XDefiant is just collateral
exactly
hopefully
If they had released it on Steam (without the Ubi launcher) I would of checked it out as I'm sure other would have too.
It wouldn't have helped much though. If a game is bad, Steam won't save it either.
damn, i absolutely knew the game was released much earlier than intended, it had so much pointing to that without any devs having to tell us. Things could literally have been so different by this time next year.
I feel like the biggest mistake that lead the hype to die down, was when Aches say that “we’re planning to release in late summer of 2025”
I’m not saying its entirely his fault, because Mark did say they ran into problems with in the engine and they had to do the whole thing from the ground up. But then there was the thing with “the boys club” and thats what kept delaying so idk which side of the story is true
After that it just put them in a tough spot after summer ended to where people kept asking “Where’s Xdefiant? We need it now!” And then when it did release people saying “man, its broken and barebones they should’ve delayed it”
Honestly, there was not much difference from the betas to the full release. But If Aches didn’t say about that specific release date and actually work on the problems (even its been in development for a long time)
I think it would’ve turned out better.
I actually hate Ubisoft so much. This game really was fun and it actually made me feel like i was actually good at FPS unlike COD and its bs matchmaking. Now what?
Play something else?
👆What he said....I recommend The Finals. It's 10x better and offers a lot of fresh, new Innovative experiences in a saturated FPS market where games are starting to feel like copy/paste imitations of other games
@@2pacisAkiltheMC that's the problem people like them don't want fresh or new they want the exact same game play loop they had when they didn't have bills to pay and then question why the genre has become a stale corpse of itself.
@BigHeelJohnson I agree 100%
Git gud?
If xdefiant does not come back, let's give fragpunk a chance
I tried Fragpunk a while ago and it just didn't feel great, might have to give it a second chance
That was my thing. It’s crazy how super try hards hate SBMM because they get tired of playing against people like themselves
@@armandocool97a “casual mode” is still a competitive mode. you’re playing with real people. if you don’t wanna get shit on, play against bots or play a single player game. that’s something to chill and play. sorry buddy but your just trash 😂
They canceled The Division Heartland just so they could shut down XDefiant? 💀💀💀
5 minutes in and holy this just pissed me off lol. not only did they pull the plug before the biggest season, they forced the team to drop the game a year before their planned window, AND the engineers had netcode figured out. complete fumble but at the end of the day it’s ubisoft
gotta give suicide squad for at least being given the time to finish the 4th season before it's inevitable shutdown
It also didn't help that they had modern shooter stuff like abilities and Operators in it.
Wait till you see Rainbow Siege Mobile come out of Xde's ashes. That's gonna piss a bunch of folks off.
R6 Mobile is an entirely different game and I don't think that's going to effect anything to do with XDefiant but it's something I have my eye on
I knew I wasn't crazy. I was seeing tons of low level players and had no trouble with matchmaking times.
Let it go bro, it's over
Game gets cancelled by publisher.
Game Dev claim that they had fixed the issues and the game is totally gonna be awesome now.
Sounds like a cope from the Devs.
The gane must've been a net negative for the company despite a trend of player increase.
Harldy anyone was spending money on the game.
Who cares about an increase in player count? How much? A 5% increase? 10% ? What was the player count before? How much PROFIT increase did they have? You gaming nerds always forget that this is a business. You think Fortnite is still around because the player count is good?
Gaming nerds are mentally incompetent
Blood is in the water…sharks are circling….buyout incoming.
The game probably isn't really being shut down. They are just saying that to try and boost player count. Like when a furniture store has a "Going Out Of Business Sale."
Bro putting in that work
They made a free mediocre game dependent on selling mediocre microtrasactions that didn't succeed at making enough money to support itself. Ubisoft has also shit the bed with every game they've made in the last few years causing them to not be able to float XD long enough for it to get fixed. Ultimately, 15 million tried the game and only 20k are playing it six months later ... the game is done.
How you gon announce a game and not even release it for like 2 years other than closed betas this game deserves its failure
You know how many games get announced but not released for 2 years. Cmon now
I mean... the fact they closed down for any new players tells me everything I need to know!
They do not want to keep it alive, or save it - under any circumstance.... I don't even get why they will keep the servers up for that long, when they don't allow players... Just fucking get it over with already then...
But man.. I don't get why they didn't give S3 a chance....
Anyone believing this is under serious copium
It does mean the story is over. 😂 It is unfortunate because I was rooting for it. It was a free to play game and not enough people were buying the cosmetics. So even if the player count was decent they were not making money.
Yeah because most of the cosmetics were lackluster and overpriced
Interesting info thanks for this man!
Launching a game before its polished to capitalize on early numbers is such a Ubisoft move. Hence, like many titles in the past few years, XDefiant was put out to die.
Yall needa grow tf up lol the games done for move on. There is no saving it. It’s all biniss the end of tha day.
1: I would have been satisfied with just these 2 seasons until 2025 if I knew more were coming out. 2: anyone wasn't to bet that whoever buys out Ubisoft will re-release XDefiant at a premium price?
I’m going to miss this game. It was really fun.
me too
Mark Rubin and the xdefiant team needs to join with H2m and make their own studio.
This needs to be said: if you know anyone that has downloaded Xdef before and deleted it, They can still reinstall. I beg anyone give this game a chance as its the genre needs.
Stop begging. Pathetic
@HOLDTHISLFoo no, in fact, F*** no!
I was just able to download the game, started it and played a few rounds. So yeah i dont know why they are saying we arent able to download the game.
Bad ending: Activision buys XDefiant Ip and ruins it on purpose so cod brights more
The game is dead. Why would Activision have to do that?
that would be hilarious 🤣🤣😭😭
Can’t ruin what’s already dead
Thx my man, appreciated. 🙌
Xdefiant has been/is fresh air for me having played fps since beford COD4.
Yeah I'm on the hunt for a new game now
I miss that old main theme. I don't have hope for Xdefiant in the future and have spent hundreds of dollars helping support it so I'm done and will probably start playing BF1 and BF4 again.
You’re getting all your money back from founder packs or purchases made after November 3rd.
Got burnrd
Mark Rubin finding a studio wanting to take on the pursuit. Or . Even though the 'faction' thing are all rights belonging to Ubisoft that can honestly be scrapped to some degree to not 100% 1:1 mimic the 'image' of those said factions ... 'abilities' are copied/ripped from many games
😂😂😂this delusion will be studied one day
The only delusion is you going through and commenting on a video about a game you clearly don't like or care for
@@NyteFalll I'm here to see this weird ass shit live and in person.

They’re shutting this down but green lighting another 2d assassin’s creed
I'm mad...They have improved many issues and Mark and his team were ready to give us Season 3
But Ubisoft pulled the rug on Mark and us
Ubisoft expects a new IP to be immediately successful as something like CoD or Genshin, but that is an insane expectation.
Xdefiant deserved another chance. They need to give it time. But cancelling it abruptly was not the right choice. They also should've launched it on Steam.
Man fuck I remember testing this game in 2022 and it was so much fun. My only issue was the netcode just being atrocious but hearing that it was all fixed makes me miserable as that was my ONE problem...
man xdefiant was so cringy, the operators... the ambience plus the shitty ttk and shitty netcode
Ubisoft is donkey oil. I hope tencent buys them
XDefiant started with a shaky foot, but the devs showed their care and passion for the project.
*loved
@BigHeelJohnson servers are active until June 3rd
Hearing that none of the netcode issues lied in the engine was nice to hear, i retract all the negative things I've said about Snowdrop, I still think the Anvil engine would have been a better choice, so that they wouldn't have had to rebuild all of the FPS mechanics from the ground up in the end it would have saved a lot of time.
Yeah the engine wasn't necessarily an issue, but definitely took a lot of time and resources to make it work that could have been spent elsewhere
@NyteFalll Yeah, hearing that the game was rushed is also pretty sad, they easily could've refined XD and made it one of their top cash cows, I was definitely willing to spend a lot of money on the game but just couldn't not knowing the future at the time, I'm devastated to see it go, played with you a couple of times you were always a good and fun challenging player to face it's a shame that we won't run into each other after June 3rd, maybe you remember me or not lol but I am Shtgn-Rttlsnk 😅
Anyway it's been a blast being a part of the XD journey, I hope Mark tries something else like this again some day, until then take care brother and thank you for being a part of the XD community, your content made playing XD so much better. ❤️
This is just so sad, this game has so much potential, it's so much fun, Ubisoft did a big mistake imo
In Rubin we trust, not Ubislop. Maybe if they’re bought out by 10cent or another company, XD could make a comeback
That's the goal of the petition
Gods please stop being in denial. No one is going to risk taking on another fps game in this horrendous market to relaunch it. It's over and time to move on. Try Rivals it's been fun
Ruben made the slop.
I want Mark Ruben to find some indie publisher or some other way to make his vision a reality. New blood interactive and critical reflex are 2 examples of good publishers, though I don't know if they'd be willing to do a cod type of game
They did the same thing with rainbow six extraction they just gave up on it
you are an easy mark dude.
??
@NyteFalll Luke tarplin is a cosplayer😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 yes easy mark I've been trying to warn you
They really shouldve made this game their main cash cow, it has the potential to revive their company, but i dont think Ubi believed in Xdefiant from the start.
How? No one was spending money on it. It was a free game and the people it was attracting hates battle pass and bundles
@RebelDrinkingLiberalTears you guys hate sending money.. then your f2p game died
@@DixieRebel177615m were never concurrent players. Game was never the most popular game on the planet. You ppl are slow
I'm not going to lie from watching your other videos about exercise I thought you didn't like this game but it's clear to see you are 100% behind it
there is a 0% chance ubisoft gets sold after AC shadows flops, they're still way too big to die after just 1 big flop
Ubisoft deserves to go under forever for this, Xdefiant was the best shooter we've gotten in ages and had potential to be a legititmate long term threat to Call of Duty.
No it didn’t 😂😂 the game tanked. No one was spending money
Nobody cares seriously
So then why are u here lol
@ for this 🖐🏿
I care. I'm someone. So you are wrong.
XDefiant on Steam, Assasins Creed, Prestige mode, so much shit would have made this awesome!!!! It was really turning the corner, you could feel it.

you cant think logically when it comes to ubisoft, they're completely out of touch with gaming and everything that all of us care about
I’m even more sad now
The game felt and played so great for me this has baffled me to why its closing already when other way less popular games have been going on for years
That's because your good times blind sides you for what it is 300k first week to 20 k less than 90 days later it just wasn't popular enough to keep it on life support.
You paid for siege ..not a f2p game
assassin’s creed will not nor can it save Ubisoft there done for and what did i actually just hear 😭😭
did you know that all skins and camo's are unlocked
Yeah I saw that, have a video ready to put out showcasing all of them
Why wasn’t the game released on steam? Why wasn’t the game released on PS4/Xbox one. About 70% of all gamers are in those 2 markets. How was this game ever supposed to succeed?
the Ubiverse was never my thing, i could take it or leave it, with the exception of the division. I hope Mark and his team can flaunt what XD got right and pitch it to a different, more sustainable publisher for the future. It would be years before we would see another title, but hey, we can only hope
Boring game dies early. Called it during the beta, game sux noone will miss it
Ubisoft can't take any risks right now.
I hope Ubi sells and the new owners do well the titles justice
If they just added more content they definitely would have got more players coming back from BO6 because lots of people have had enough of BO6
i believe xdefiant will be under a new studio. look what happen to splitgate it got shut down and the game is coming bac as splitgame 2.
i said that more will come out in the next few weeks or months.
and the guy that owns ubi was quoted that he would like to take the company away from share holders or have no issues with getting rid of share holders and if that took money from tencent then he will take that money and it i think it was reported that tencent had offered ubi money to bail them out a few months ago and tencent wanted a seat on the "top table" and more say or rather voting rights (its not hard to find out who has what shares and sway around the table etc) , and i suggest you look into this as i think tencent own something like 49% of the company but only get 10% of the voting rights.
if i remember right ms during the acti buy out said that tencent are there biggest competitor and they are bad for gaming (yes i know ms came out with lots of stuff to get the deal done) but then they had to hand over online rights to ubi to get the deal done (at this point i put the tin foil hat on and said ms will just buy ubi but i didnt know at the time about the whole tencent deal and them owning i think 49% of ubi if what i read is right) so if ms are dead set against tencent then why would they agree to hand over stuff to tencent ? , none of this makes sense if the info is right and im going from memory here so it may not be.
but it seems to me from what i can remember when i looked into it that ubi , tencent and ms are all lining up to piss up the gamers backs and then going to tell us its raining , there is to my mind something very dodgy (i use dodgy just as a term) coming down the tracks.
this shit is so depressing
