    Jack I lived as a lesbian for over 45 yrs... and you are correct . We are not born that way. I almost changed to a man. I found Jesus, knew him in a Gay church. I was always bucking the pastor about why does it say I am an abomination to God? Never got the answer until I came to Jesus. He answered my questions then. In 2012. I have no Christian friends because I am still being judged as a gay woman. They dont want to get close so I had no mentors, just Jesus. . God bless you Jack.

    My four sons were abandoned by their father along with myself. I can attest to being a single mother of sons, the struggle that boys growing into men will deal with. I didn’t know how to be a man for them. I’m not a man. So I did the best I could. My father was involved as much as he could be from long distance. My youngest son was struggling greatly with gender identity. When I gave my life to Christ I started to pray for him continuously. Christ in all His ever loving power reached down into the heart of my 11 year old and instantly (I know it doesn’t always happen this way) he was happy with the male God created him to be. God knew my struggle with fighting the world on this matter and intervened on behalf on my prayers. The schools are pushing this. Parents please be aware.

    What a brave and honest preacher !. A very sensitive topic and issue , but needs to be addressed . So many churches " pussyfoot " around this subject , never addressing to their congregation that must have some gay members . I am sure this will lead some homosexuals to true repentance with Jesus Christ at the centre . God bless you preacher for your convicting honesty , but delivered "with Christian love " .

    Thank you for this message! I totally agree, but at the same time it tares my heart!
    Our son is living a homosexual lifestyle, after fighting his temtations for a while.
    He could not hold on longer, became depressed and very unhappy.
    Unable to fight against his feelings he decided to just give in to his ‘nature’.
    Talking with him about Gods view on this, makes him shut down.
    We cannot talk about it at all, or lose him, because he feels that we dont accept him.
    We do, and we love him dearly, we tell him that always, but cannot agree that he lives together with his boyfriend.
    I just hope they will not get married....! I dont want to be put before that choise.
    Please pray for him if you read this.
    It is easy to agree on biblical facts as long as you are not in that boat, its even easy to believe all God say in the bible, but it is só difficult to talk to a person that is so close and made clear to not want to talk about it.
    He always was a serious Christian kid, babtized, worshipper, but it seems all gone....

    33:23 Pastor Jack points out that many animal behaviour considered to be homosexual in nature, are now understood to not be the case at all, such as the Emperor Penguins who share in keeping an egg warm by balancing it between their feet and belly. But let's say even if... *IF* such behaviour were homosexual, that doesn't mean animal behaviour is indicative of something being natural, good or right for humans. Fish, crab, sharks and a bunch of other animals eat their babies. Does that mean it's okay for people to do the same? Of course not.

      Hello...
      The Gospel according to the Apostle Paul states it simply and succinctly:
      In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, he lays out the content of the gospel message, “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES, THAT HE WAS BURIED, THAT HE WAS RAISED ON THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES". (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
      Paul gave us the basic tenets of the Christian Gospel (which translated from Greek means "good news") in the statement above that I put in all capital letters.
      Also here is even more information about the Christian faith and what we are expected to do to receive God's Grace (Jesus redemptive salvation from our sins).
      God is the same deity in both the Old and the New Testament and His nature and character has never changed. He is the same God of Adam and Eve all the way to present day. God is in three persons...a trinity Godhead. And all three: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are unified in all matter of what is abhorrent to Him and that sin on ANY LEVEL sickens Him and none of it cannot be in His presence.
      That is why we MUST have a Savior...Jesus Christ...He saves us from our sins. None of us is worthy. No... not any one of us. Only Jesus gift of salvation can allow us to be in the presence of God in Heaven. By accepting Jesus free gift of salvation, by admitting to Jesus that you are a sinner, that you are sincerely sorry about your sins, and asking Jesus for His forgiveness, you will you be saved from the Second Death. And this is where Jesus pardons or "justifies" you from your sin and takes your guilt away. He executed justice for you on your behalf in this life by allowing Himself to be sacrificed...Jesus took your punishment (and everyone of us that have accepted His free will gift) so that you would have the chance to enter into the presence of God. But when you ask God for forgiveness, it must be genuine and in earnest... and with humility. Because God knows our hearts and can tell if you really mean it or not. If you are truly and honestly sincere, you will be instantly forgiven and saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.
      Leaving sin is not easy. It is hard. But we are to fight against temptations. We will eventually stumble because we are all born with a SIN gene defect. But Christ promised us if we ask for forgiveness each time we fall, change our sinful ways, we need to get right back on that Christian horse again and keep riding. That is the "sanctification" part of our walk with Jesus and our faith in Him.
      I will add also that once we, as repentant sinners, have asked God for His forgiveness and for the free gift of salvation from Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, then God will send the Holy Spirit INTO our hearts and souls and we become a new creature and transformed. A heavy burden of guilt is lifted immediately from our shoulders once we choose to follow Christ. And as we mature in our faith, we become sanctified and more and more reflective of the goodnesses and love of Jesus everyday. We were given two commandments from Jesus: To love the Lord our God with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind. And we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. As we grow in our love for Christ and what He has done for us, we change and begin to show and express that same love for each other. And by doing so, we reflect the perfect love of Jesus to others. In that way, we bring great honor and glory to God...and once we get to Heaven as believers, Jesus will bestow on us wonderful crowns of honor. And we will live with God forever and ever.
      What a great day that will be!
      I know this comment is very late...but I hope it helps you with your witness for your Muslim friend. God bless you.

      It takes a profoundly softened heart to muster the boldness required to preach this honestly. The problem is not with the delivery, or the heart of the messenger. The problem is that our perception of the righteousness of God has been watered down by persistent brainwashing through tv, radio, and public school. The righteousness of God is righteous. Not soft. The love of God for His children is powerful. It too, is not soft.. God bless you friend.

      If someone sincerely believes in Christ, and accepts him as savior, that person is saved. He is sealed forever with the Holy Spirit and can never lose his salvation. From that moment on, the Holy Spirit will work inside him, convicting him of sin and leading him into holiness. For some people, the change is instant and dramatic, with others it's slow, with many slips back into sinful behavior. King David was called a man after God's own heart, yet he committed repeated adultery, and murder to cover up the adultery! There were physical ramifications of this sin, and God eventually brought him out of it, but there was never ever a hint that David ever lost his salvation. This is why God tells us not to judge a person. Only he knows their heart, and whether or not they are truly his, because of course there are also many people who claim to be Christian, but have never truly believed in Christ.

    Jack says there are no homosexuals since there isn't a scientific definition of homosexuality and no-one has found a gay gene. Well there is no scientific definition of Christianity and no-one has found a Christian gene. By Jack's standard therefore, there are no Christians in the world.
    He says that since "homosexual behavior" is a choice it isn't a civil right. But religion, also, is a choice. Therefor, if we follow the pastor's logic, religious freedom isn't a civil right either and should not be protected under the law.
    This is what happens when you try to dress up a personal prejudice as scientific fact. As usual Jack is preaching compassion and practicing bigotry.

    • @tristanhnl
      @tristanhnl 5 лет назад +1

      Stephan, the Bible is very clear how God views homosexual conduct. God is holy and just. If we tell people their sins are okay in the eyes of God, then we deceive and lie to them, and are encouraging them to head straight for damnation. We hate the sin, but love the sinner. We have compassion on them, even though we don't agree with their lifestyles. Any responsible parent understands this dynamic, especially if you have a rebelllious teenager. You don't like their breaking curfew, talking back to you, hanging with the wrong crowd....but you still love them unconditionally because they're you're child.
      We try to do that with our fellow man. We don't love their sin (nor ours), but we still love them as a fellow human being created by God. That mirrors the 2 sides of the same coin regarding what God is like. He is both 100% holy, just and righteous, while being 100% love, grace and mercy. It's a dichotomy that seems contradictory, but they are in perfect balance.

    • @BacktoEdenUrbanFarm
      @BacktoEdenUrbanFarm 5 лет назад +2

    • @stephanmarcus448
      @stephanmarcus448 3 года назад

      @@kyleskutie1979 The point that Jack was making was that because there is no scientific way to determine if someone is homosexual, homosexuals should not be protected from discrimination by law. What he ignored is that this also applies to Christians. According to Jack, if you cannot show that some characteristic is genetic/natural you cannot claim to have a civil right because of it. Religion is not genetic therefore the establishment clause of the First Amendment should not exist and I should be able to fire any employee who converts because I hate Christians.

      I have weighed this carefully and without going into details, I have found that the "custom" of meeting together on Sunday is different than honoring and remembering the Saturday Sabbath. I think it would be beneficial to have church on Saturday, but I don't believe God is offended by a Sunday church service any more than a Wednesday evening church service. What people do on Saturday to honor God is what sets them apart as a sign. There are no Saturday church services in my area, so I go on Sunday. This does not stop me from practicing Saturday as the Sabbath. It just means I have to work that much harder on Sunday after church to get my weekend chores done, or spread them out to the rest of the week. I am willing to bet, however, that most professing Christians observe neither day as a Sabbath because the law and commandments were supposedly "abolished" by Jesus. Yet they would still list "do not murder" as a "commandment" to be observed. All that being said, I believe Sunday church is not disobeying as long as it is not a substitute for the 7th day Sabbath observance. That is each person's individual responsibility.

    • @tristanhnl
      @tristanhnl 5 лет назад

      Do you remember what Yeshua said when the pharisees criticised him for healing on the Sabbath? The Sabbath was made to benefit man, not the other way around. Hebrews ch 4 also speaks of entering into God's rest. You can be doing that 7 days a week, on any day, why limit yourself to just Saturday? Any day you are honouring God, can be your Sabbath. Romans ch 14 also speaks on this issue, regarding "holy days".

    This is not the kind of love that Christ gave for least (tax collectors, prostitutes, and foreigners). I would like to know why some pastors are so quick to condemn certain sins above others. Aren't all sins equal in the eyes of God? I do not believe LGBTQ peoples are out of the bounds of Christ's love. Shouldn't he who is without sin cast the first stone? We are all sinful. I love you, Jack Hibbs, but by your logic, you are taking your sin of pride and "sail[ing] right off into the lake of fire." I'm sure you studied Aquinas. By your logic, I don't think you can be a Christian and Proud.
    With love, I'd suggest addressing the opposing viewpoint and joining the conversation rather than just making accusations. I suggest authors like Tara K. Soughers, Patrick S. Cheng, Pamela R. Lightsey. Thank you. Peace be with you.

      Oh, and Shameless by Nadia Bolz-Weber. It speaks quite a bit on the topics of sexual shame within the church.

    Why aren't you talking about the rapture instead of this nonsense. Really doesn't work in Sodom and Gomorrah

      He does talk about the rapture, and he has done so many, many, many times. Besides, a pastor should not be limiting himself on what topics can and should be talked about. Scripture encompasses many different topics. Calvary Chapel is known for going book by book and verse by verse through the Bible. This is called expository teaching. As such, whatever topic the scriptures discuss, when they get to that portion of scripture, that's what they teach on. This "Why" series, is a unique topic-oriented series, and is the exception, not the norm. Before this, Pastor Jack spent almost 5 years going verse by verse through the book of Isaiah on Wednesday nights.
