- Lisa Taddeo discusses her book, "Three Women", at Politics and Prose on 7/29/19.
Nearly ten years ago, Taddeo, an award-winning journalist and longtime contributor to New York magazine and Esquire, embarked on a project to write about desire from the female perspective. Her deeply reported, groundbreaking book follows the erotic lives and longings of three women: a North Dakota high school student having a relationship with her English teacher, a wife trapped in a passionless marriage whose life is changed by an affair, and an entrepreneur whose husband likes to watch her have sex with other people. Writing with nuance and empathy, Taddeo strips away the myths and assumptions that shape views of female sexuality. Taddeo is in conversation with Olivia Nuzzi, Washington correspondent for New York.
